IN THE TREE OF LIFE:

It was after Kion's coronation and the Pride Landers were going to their respective places that Rani, Kion and Nirmala had assigned for them earlier.

Kion descended the rock on which, Makini painted the colour on his forehead and decided to see his mom, dad and sister. "Hey, Rani, maybe I should go see my mom and dad. We were so busy for the coronation ceremony that I couldn't speak to my mom and dad lately." Kion said, "I'll go with you, after all, I still haven't introduced myself to your mom and dad properly." Rani replied, "Okay then", Kion said as they both headed towards Simba, Nala, Kiara and Kovu who were just going to leave for their resting spot. "Mom, Dad!" Kion yelled as he ran towards them joyfully and hugged them.

Simba and Nala were happy to see their son and hugged him back. "We are so proud of you, son." Nala said still hugging each other. "I'm so happy that I finally made you proud!" Kion said. "You always did, son." Simba stated. After a few more moments, they backed up. Rani was already there, smiling at the small family reunion.

"Rani, meet my father, King Simba and my mother, Queen Nala. And this is my sister, Kiara along with Kovu, her mate and my brother-in-law." Kion introduced. ''Mom, dad, Kiara, Kovu, this is Queen Rani.". "It's an honour to meet you Queen Rani." Simba and Nala bowed down their heads as a sign of respect. "It's an honour to meet you too King Simba, Queen Nala." Rani greeted bowing her head down.

Kovu took a step forward, "So, 'King' huh?" Kovu said with a smirk, "Yeah, it's quite satisfying to become King earlier than your potato-headed elder sister!" Kion provoked his elder sister, "Hey!" Kiara snapped, ready to pounce on Kion as he changed to his defensive position; that's when Simba and Nala interrupted, "Okay, Enough! Please stop you two!" Nala said, "Don't start fighting on this happy occasion!" Simba finished rolling his eyes. Kovu and Rani chuckled at the childish behaviour of Kiara and Kion. When Kion and Kiara realised what they were doing, they felt embarrassed.

After some more 'family-talking', they realised that the Sun had set already, replacing the sky with Moon and Stars. Before saying their goodbyes for the day, Simba said, "And son, one more thing that we'll be leaving tomorrow first thing.", "So early?" Kion asked, "Kion, I know that you want us to stay but if we will not be present at the Pride Lands then who will rule there? We need to go." Simba said as he nuzzled Kion, "We'll give frequent visits to you and The Tree of Life, Kion, don't worry." Nala reassured her son and she rubbed her head against his mane and fur. "And don't forget to wake up early tomorrow if you want to say goodbye to us!" Simba reminded as Kion nodded.

"Guess we should head back to the tree now." Rani said as they headed back to their tree.

When they reached the tree, Rani was the first to hop on the rock and lay down followed by Kion. When he laid down, Rani took the chance and pinned him down playfully! Rani giggled, "Was that a surprise? To be honest, I'm good at surprises!" Kion said as he pulled Rani down and pinned her, "Now who's laughing?" Kion said playfully as they continued to wrestle until they were tired and laid down beside each other. Rani closed her eyes and fell fast asleep! But it was not the same with Kion, he was thinking, "Yes this is it, this is the beginning of my journey in the Tree Of Life, the beginning of my new life with Rani by my side." As he looked at Rani, smiled, closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Hey guys, so I'm a new writer and I'm into TLG, TLK, Marvel and several Random Stories. Mostly into Lion Guard. I wrote this story as a continuation of the Season 3.
