As Ego's ship takes off of Berhert with some of the Guardians in tow. Ego decided to take a nap and Mantis helps him to sleep by placing her hand on his forehead. Peter watches them from afar as Drax  and Gamora leave them all be. Eden sits down with his headphones listening to music. Dracora sat down next to him. Peter takes out a picture of man of who thought was his father, he looks at it for a bit then looks at Ego with curiosity while he sleeps.

As the ship flew through space at hypersonic speeds. Peter, Eden,  Drax, and Mantis sat down on a white couch next to each other. Peter and Drax giggle about something and Mantis seemed confused about it. "Hey, can Ed ask you a personal question?" Peter asked. "Whoa, what?" Eden said confused. "Well, you haven't said anything the entire time since we got on." Peter told his brother. "Excuse me, personal space" Eden said and turns around. "Oh, no one has ever asked me a personal question." Mantis said. 

"Your anntane? What are they for?" Peter asked. Eden turns back around to listen. "Their purpose?" Mantis asked. Gamora walks into the room along with Dracora. "Quill and I have a bet." Drax said. Eden slaps his hand on his face and streams it across his face. Peter swings his head down. "You're not supposed to say that." Peter said chuckling a little bit. "I say that if you are about to go through that is too low, your anntane will feel it and keep you from being decapaitated." Drax described it as Peter looks at Gamora and both of them chuckle.

 "Right, and if it's anything other than you specifically not being decapacitated by a door way. I win" Peter said. Then they hear a thump near Peter and the three turn to see Eden asleep. Peter smirks a bit. "No, No, not for feeling 'doorways'" Mantis said disgusted. Drax groans in defeat. Peter laughs with victory.  "I think.... they have something to with my empathic abilities." Mantis said. "What are those?" Gamora asked.  "If I touch someone, I can feel their feelings." Mantis explains. Gamora looks at her with a disgusted expression.

"You read minds?" Peter asked. "No... Telepaths know thoughts. Empaths feel feelings, emotions, may I?" Mantis continued. "Alright." Peter agreed. Mantis places her hand on Peter's and her anntane begin to glow. "You feel...love." She says. "Yeah, I guess I feel general and unselfish love for just about everybody including my brother, Eden." Peter said turning to Eden who was still asleep. "No, romantic, sexual love." Mantis corrected. "No! No I don't." Peter stuttered. "For her!" Mantis said pointing at Gamora. "No! That is not..." Peter said disgusted.

Drax begins to laugh loudly and that woke Eden up from his little nap. "Okay." Peter said. Gamora looks away with her mouth open but didn't say anything. "What is going?" Eden asked scratching the back of his neck. "That's" Peter began. "She just told everyone your deepest darkest secret!" Drax yelled. "Dude! Come on! I think you are overreacting!" Peter yelled. "You must be so embrassed!" Drax retorted. Peter sighs Eden places his hand on his brother shoulder. Gamora glares at him as Drax continues to laugh "Do me! Do me!" Drax said as he continues to laugh. Mantis places her hand on Drax's chest and she begins to laugh as well.

They both continue to laugh together "I have never felt such joy before." Mantis said as she continues to laugh at Peter. Mantis stands up continuing to laugh as she walks towards Gamora. She sticks her hand out and Gamora grabs it without batting an eye "Touch me, and the only thing  you will feel is a broken jaw." Gamora said in a serious tone. She then lets go of Mantis. "Hey, Mantis, do him next." Dracora told her as she points to Eden. Mantis walks towards him. "May I?" Mantis asked Eden. "Go ahead." Eden said. Mantis places her hand on Eden's and her anntane glows once again. Then Mantis begins to cry, Eden hangs his head down.

"Oh my god, I have never felt such pain and sorrow ever in my life." Mantis said as she wipes her tears with her other hand. Eden still had his head down. "That was something I have to bear on my own for a year." Eden said. "But, now I have nothing to bear once I'm with my friends." Eden stated looking at everyone around him.  Mantis stands up and walks in front of the Guardians "I can... also alter emotions to some extent." Mantis said. "Yeah, like what?" Peter asked. "If I touch someon who is sad, I can ease them into contentment for a short while. I can make a stubborn person compliant." Mantis explained. Gamora looks at her with suspicion so does Peter. "But I mostly use it to help my master sleep.

"He lies awake at night, thinking about his progenies." Mantis said. after she said that both Peter and Eden look at Mantis with wide-shocked eyes. "Do one of those on me!" Drax yelled hitting his chest. Mantis walks over to him and places a hand on his forehand. Her anntane begins to glow again. "Sleep" Mantis said softly and Drax suddenly falls asleep, his head back and begins to snore loudly. "Say wha?" Eden and Dracora said confused.
