Sky

I opened the door to let Tristan in. He greeted me with a smile as he walked in.

His familiar green eyes met my blue ones.

"Welcome," I said as we sat down. "Oh, this is my friend Sasha; she's a Witch."

He stuck his hand out. "Pleased to meet ya." He said to Sasha.

Sasha smiled at me. "You too. Wow, you're cute."

I rolled my eyes.

"Thanks."

"Tristan, she's fifty-something," I warned him.

He frowned.

He needed to know.

"So Sasha and I are planning an attack on the Kingdom of Miradon. We were wondering if you'd like to join us. I don't have anything against that kingdom. But Sasha does, so friends help friends, right?" I asked Tristan, changing the subject.

Tristan nodded in agreement. "Right."

Sasha spoke. "I know my way around the castle so that I can find an entry point. Once we're in, we take the wife to the nursery room. That'll lure King Toby to the nursery. Where you, Tristan, will be waiting behind the door, and then you'll put a knife to his neck. But don't cut him."

"Aww." Tristan frowned.

"Sky, you'll be holding The Queen hostage; I'll hold Edward. Then I'll make the king face an ultimatum. Either he gives me his power, or his family will. Of course, he'll choose to sacrifice himself so that his family can still have theirs. But we don't know if he'll choose that. Sometimes people just might surprise you."

She's right.

"After this is done, are we coming back here?" I asked her.

I didn't want to do this at all. I just wanted to hang with Sasha. We're best friends. But if I tell her that, she'll think I'm betraying her.

"I don't know yet."

So we met with each other a lot to ensure that the plan would work. To make sure it was perfect, and it was, for the most part, not one hundred percent.

I was the weak link. I didn't agree with this; I never did.

Tristan invited me over to his house. It was a week before the attack on the King and Queen.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked as we sat down on his couch.

"I like you, Sky. Do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked with confidence.

I smiled. "Then it's a good thing I like you too, Tristan." I leaned in to kiss him.

After ten seconds, we pulled apart. I had butterflies, and his face was red.

I'm sure Sasha would be thrilled when she found out.

And she was, she was so happy for us. So she planned a dinner, and we ate together. I had fun that night. That was the last good memory we had together.

I leaned against the castle, with my head down, I was thinking. I don't want to go down for something that I didn't even what to do in the first place.

The present

Sasha's eyes got big. "Poser, Traitor!"

"I was way more content when we'd chill at my house. Not plot revenge on people. But I guess that's your problem; you always want to get revenge on someone."

In one swift movement, I grabbed the power suction potion from Tristan's pocket, opened it, and threw it on Sasha.

That would make twice that this has happened to her.

She let out a blood-curling scream.

That's when the guards walked in and took her to the dungeon. Where'd she be locked up and powerless.

"You will be hanged for your crimes!" King Toby shouted. Then turned to the twins. "Thank you, Ella and Stella."

"Sky also had a help in this; the least you could do is offer her a job and a place to stay," Stella said as she gestured towards me.

"Thank you, Sky." King Toby said sincerely. "Would you like a job. I'm sure you and your friend here would make great guards."

"Yes, that sounds great. Thank you, King Toby." I smiled.

"We would also like to become guardians of the Miradon kingdom," Stella said, gesturing to her family.

"Sounds like a great idea." Queen Dawn smiled.

"King Toby," I spoke, getting his attention. "I can help you summon your powers back." I offered.

He nodded.

Twenty minutes earlier

"Hey, you!" I looked up to see a girl with blue eyes and brown hair.

She was walking towards me. She had a twin and two older people with her. I'm guessing her parents.

"What the hell is going on in there?" She asked me.

I smirked. "Sasha came back for revenge, and we decided to help her even though we have nothing against your king. That's just what friends do."

"Who's we?" The same girl asked.

"My Boyfriend Tristan and I. I also helped her restore her powers before she decided to leave this town."

"Wait, she has her powers back?"

This girl is starting to get on my nerves. "Isn't that what I just said?"

"Sorry, I'm just shocked. The last time I saw her, she was powerless." She told me.

"Well, now she's stronger than ever. She just took your King's power." I boasted.

Her sister glared at me. I noticed she was two inches taller than her sister. "If you think for one second that you're going to get away with this." She shook her head, and her blue eyes stared straight into mine. "Believe me, you won't."

I was about to retaliate, but then I thought, no, I don't want to do this anymore.

Sometimes, you just might surprise yourself.

I let my guard down and admitted. "I don't want to do this. I don't want to go down for something that I didn't even want to do in the first place."

Her face softened. "Help us then. Why don't you start by telling us your name."

"I'm Sky."

"I'm Stella; that's Ella, my Mom, and my dad. They go by Nicki and Micheal."

I nodded. "I've got a plan," I told her. "The King and Queen are in the Nursery with Edward. You get them, then meet me in the throne room."

"What will you plan to do?" Stella asked.

"Sasha is going to lose her powers again. Because we have an extra power suction potion."

The next day, the whole town gathered around to see Sasha get hung.

I looked over at Sky and asked her, "Do you feel bad for her?"

"I do; I know she can change; she just doesn't want to." Sky answered. She was staring into Sasha's eyes, and Sasha stared back. "She has to pay for her crimes, plus, she's a lost cause. It just took me a while to realize it."

I nodded. "I wouldn't mind being your friend."

"Really?" She turned to me.

"Yeah, when you turned against Sasha, I knew you were a good person." I smiled.

"Thanks, I could use a friend." She smiled back.

After Sasha was hanged, they removed her body. I know a lot of people felt justice when that happened.

They began building Sky a cottage, just like her old one. Except it would be here in the kingdom of Miradon instead of that forest between the vampire and wolf kingdom.

She and Tristan would move in together. They are adorable together.

We headed into the castle, and the guards would be training us to fight. With that skill and our power, we would be prepared to defend Miradon.

It would be our honor to do so.

We were moved into the castle. It would be easier to guard the castle if we lived in it. However, I would miss our cottage.

Eventually, I forgave my father and began to build a bond with him, just like Ella was.

Every morning we would scout the border of Miradon and the vampire Kingdom.

I'd never thought we'd become Guardians of Miradon.
