Chapter Sixteen ~ Veni Vidi Vici

~Chapter Sixteen~

The purple haired woman securely fashioned her cloak onto her shoulders, tying her hi-ate around her neck loosely. Silver eyes clash with ever shifting ones, the white haired man leaning against the wall with shinobi battle armor on. "You sure about this?" He says smoothly not caring about the flash of irritation that appears on Emiko's face.

"Whether you like it or not, she is our comrade and to be quite blunt; she has the ability to overcome any of the opponents she faces. Because no matter how strong her opponent is my lady will become stronger. It's a fact of life. If she believes that she requires our assistance then we shall help her with no questions asked, even if curiosity is present."

She grabs a ceramic mask styled like a fox, painted with a few streaks of silver and red. She slips it on to hide her face, tying it on securely. "We have a duty to uphold and we are going to do it without hesitation. Understood Daiki?" Her sharp tone leaves no room for argument and he nods, fixing his own cloak before accepting the ceramic eagle mask. He slips it on, his eyes shifting between a silver to match Emiko's and a dark void.

"After all of this we're going to start... right?" Emiko nods drawing up the hood of her cloak to hide her unique hair and takes a step outside of the house, looking around the mostly rebuilt village. The storm barrier overhead is developed into a certain sight not normally seen with the ever moving clouds a mix of white and grays, clashing together. "Right." She lets a smile crack her usually stoic facade seeing how no one else could see it.

Daiki draws up his own hood and walks to the right of Emiko, not a step ahead or behind her, the two perfectly in sync. If their trio was complete then the final member would be walking in front of them and in the center, the leader of this whole ordeal even though most believe it is Emiko herself who is the leader. The barrier shifts and makes way for the two to walk through, the duo standing on the edge of the cliff as they exit the only way they knew how to.

A simple summoning jutsu and a Bald Eagle flies in place, patient as the two get on. With powerful wing strokes it rising into the air, Emiko glancing behind her to look at the Storm Village with unyielding certainty.

"This place shall return to its previous glory with the help of my lady, and all wrongs will be set right."

Even though she was surrounded by at least ten guards Winter couldn't stop her racing mind as a particular thought stayed always present. When she dashed forward to break out of the circle the black clad people had formed around her, it was the second thing she was thinking about. And as she destroyed them all she still could only concentrate on the thought of the white haired teenager fighting alongside her. That teenage boy who stood no less than ten feet away named Ja'far.

Ja'Far Fukkishimi, someone she'd thought was long dead, the black sheep of the Fukkishimi Clan. He was one of the hundreds that died in the massacre of her village, she dug his grave and buried his body, so how was he still breathing?

Sliding on her knees between a small opening, she cuts down several guards with an emotionless face letting her reflexes take over and trusting her muscle memory to protect herself. Ja'far moved swiftly with her, the two using a mixture of Kenjutsu and the ancient martial arts that were drilled into their heads from the moment they could walk.

Together they were a force to be reckoned with.

It took them some time but they eventually fought their way out to the empty arena. Due to the predicament Judal must've canceled the fights that were supposed to happen today. A sharp wind races across the sky and stings their cheeks, sand flying around. Squinting in the haze of white Winter did an aerial to kick some unfortunate guard in the face and used one hand as she tumbled to the ground to push herself back off of the sand, doing a one hand spring with minimal effort. Every move she did was polished and merciless, the look in her eye enough to make one falter let alone the sight of her with next to no wounds and a sword dripping with blood.

Ja'far spun high into the air with his red wires flicking out attached with sharp, specially cut kunai as he takes down several enemies at once. But despite the fact the two were clearly in a whole other league then the guards, they were only human and even they had limits and made mistakes.

Even with careful planning and the skills to back it up, they forget about the pieces of metals encircling their necks.

But Judal didn't.

A black shadow over came them, drowning the white in darkness as Judal stood on air, simply floating there with his jaw clenched and red eyes flashing. He took great care in raising his hands, allowing a brief emotion of triumph to flash across his face, and snapped his fingers loudly.

Once, when Winter was a little girl, she'd been outside in the middle of a horrendous thunderstorm searching for the kunai her brother had lent her. She'd been practicing her aim and threw it too far into the woods. The rain had been coming down in thick sheets, effectively blurring her vision, and by the time she'd found the kunai stuck in the base of a tree she was soaked to the bone.

Holding up the kunai to make sure it was in fact her brothers, seeing how ninja's lost their kunai on occasion, she'd failed to realized that metal was a grand conductor of electricity. Now this was a time before she discovered her alignment with lighting, before she knew how to direct it away from her and to make sure it didn't hurt her severely.

Lighting found its way from the sky, to the kunai and struck her. Once, twice, thrice... it struck her seven times. Her veins had felt as if they were burning, her skin peeling back and her teeth grinding against each other. An ache formed in her chest, her legs collapsing from underneath her, a jarring pain finding its way to her heart. Her lungs felt as if they were going to disappear and it was as if her very essence; her bones, muscles and cells were dissolving.

Until this day she'd never experienced pain quite like that, but the sheer force of electricity that pulsated through the shock collar made the pain she'd felt that day seem like child's play.

Her entire body trembled violently as she fell to the ground, clawing at the source of the pain. The area around her light up from the visible electricity coursing around her body, her visible eye widening from the sheer force of the torturous pain. As if she had no control over her vocal cords a strangled, high pitched, earth shattering scream clawed its way out of her throat and climbed the air.

She struggled to gather together and inkling of thoughts, trying to devise a way to get the collar off. Judal stared down at her with cold eyes, Ja'far trying to fight his way over to her. "You are pathetic." The black haired man spits down at her, "What sort of Ookami can't control electricity? Especially from the main branch? You are a disgrace to our family name. You are no Storm ninja, hell you aren't even a Leaf ninja. You're like a Shadow ninja, despicable and believing you are above everyone else!"

His lips curl into a sneer as he continues to look down at her with clear anger. "You would be better off dead than slandering the clan's name. Obviously you have no sense of loyalty, running away from your duties. I am ashamed to share the same clan as you. And I'm sure wherever the rest of the clan is, they are too."

"You, Yuki Ookami, are condemned to Fall like that god awful brother of yours."

The wind whipped up and sand spun around in spirals, temporarily hiding the girl from his view. "Veni." The single word rung with, calm fury intertwined with the word as a bell like sound rung out. "Vidi." This word was spoken with more malice, the second chime ringing out above all other sounds. "Vici." The final word is spit out, containing rage like no other as the sand settles.

Her hair shielded her face from view as electricity still flickered all over, the raw amount of it making it so she shouldn't be standing at all. It was only a brief trickle of energy but combined with the amount of lightning running through her it was more than enough. "Do you know what that means Judal?" Winter spoke slowly and hauntingly, her lips slowly pulling up into a twisted smirk as she felt the familiar chakra force taking the prisoners from the Holding Cell signaling that they were the last people here.

Sharp teeth flashed at him and she lifted her head, a wolf-like glare settling onto her face as her smirk drops leaving behind a vengeful look that promised destruction. Her eye flickered with a barely controlled storm as the sky grew darker. Pitch black clouds rolled in over head as she takes purposeful steps forward. Lighting claps overhead, the arena lighting up briefly with blue tinted light.

"I came."

Her eyebrow raised as she glances around the coliseum with conviction.

"I saw."

A resonating roar washed over the entire area, a single pin point in the sky opening up to make way as pure energy gathered over head. A red ball forms with lighting flicker around it, Winter raising her chin high as she lifts up her hand to the sky. The wind grows more violent and many have to raise their arms to shield their faces. She drops her arm straight down and the meteor follows, crashing towards the ground with alarming speed.

"I conquered."

what the meteor looks like in the sky to the side/up top.

So, what did you guys think this chapter hmm? Hopefully you can understand what Judal meant two chapters ago by "I knew it. I knew I wasn't the only one left."

Now I'm off to go see Mockingjay part 2! :)

And for once here is a sneak peek of the chapter eighteen (two chapters away but I have this snippet I really wanna share with you guys):

"Oh I'm sorry, did I step on your big moment? I can walk outside and reenter the room if you'd like." The black haired girl stated nonchalantly as she firmly pressed her foot into the face of a man with a navy blue cloak on. He didn't stir from his uncurious state and she propped a hand on her hip with a knowing smirk forming on her lips as she looks over the congregation of ninjas.

"Who the hell are you?!"

"Me? Why I am your worst nightmare come to life."
