Noon

Twenty-seven year old Amethyst was shopping in Manhattan. When she was halfway to American Eagle, an explosion happened ten blocks from her. She ran to the explosion to see what was going on. She hopes that whatever happened, she could help. When she got there she saw a huge water-shaped man. A new villain came to Manhattan. Amethyst thought that all of the villains disappeared when all the superheroes disappeared. (Two or three years ago there was an alien invasion that consisted of a purple grape with human characteristics, an evil squidward, and a couple of aliens with anger issues. The purple grape wanted to take over the world but the superheroes at that time, did not let him. They tried to find all the pieces of the grapes weapon. It did not work well. The grape got what he wanted and snapped all of the heroes away. When that happened, the grape left.) The villain, Ernesto, wanted to terrorize one of the biggest cities because he does not like what they do to the Hudson River. He wants the river to be fresh water with no pollution and plastic in it. He thinks that the water is becoming poisonous to the fish and people in the city.

"HEY, what are you doing?" Amethyst questioned. Amethyst wanted to know why Ernesto wanted to destroy Manhattan. Manhattan has been quiet for a long time. There has not been a superhero or villain living there since the Big Snap.

"I’m going to destroy this city. It has been polluting and destroying the Hudson River." Ernesto is outraged that someone would go up against him. He thought that all of the superheroes disappeared from the Big Snap.

"There has to be another way to fix this problem. You do not have to destroy Manhattan to get what you want," Amethyst said.

Ernesto did not care if there was another way. He thought it would be faster to go with his destroying Manhattan plan. Since he was not letting it go, Amethyst knew that she had to same Manhattan. Amethyst got an idea. She went to an ally and ripped off her clothes. Behind her clothing was a black bodysuit and an amethyst cape. When she returned, one-third of Manhattan was destroyed. She was ready to fight. She ran back to Ernesto and started to fight. Ernesto thought it was a good idea to mix water and rocks together. Amethyst saw that rocks were being thrown, so she did what she could to save the buildings and not get hit.  She could not get hit because the rocks are her own kryptonite.

"Stop moving around, pip-squeak. I am trying to vaporize you," Ernesto said.

"HECK, no. Stop moving, so I can vaporize you." Amethyst and Ernesto fought like there is no tomorrow.

Ernesto threw a rock, Amethyst did not see it, and then she was hit by the rock. The rock forced her to the ground. It took most of her strength to push it off of her. She tried to get up, but she kept on falling. Ernesto thought she was dead. He went back to destroying the city. What he did not notice was that it only took a few drops of water to revive her.

Fifty Minutes Later

"HEY, YOU. Stop right there. I am not done with you." Amethyst got up and jumped onto his back. When she was on his back, she managed to slam him to the ground and dissolve into him.

Amethyst looked around. Everything on the inside and outside was the color of water: blue. While Ernesto was fighting her, he sucked up random things like parts of buildings, construction equipment, small containers, big containers, cars, and many more. As she was looking at the weird things, she remembered that she had water powers and Ernesto is 100% water. Amethyst got an idea. She could use her water powers and manipulate Ernesto into a blob of water. She would use one of the big containers that he sucked up and put him in it. She took a big container, stepped out of Ernesto, opened the bucket, and manipulate Ernesto into the bucket. Now that Ernesto is gone, Amethyst looks around and see the aftermath of the fight. Foundation of buildings is everywhere. Not one block was free of destruction. She knew that she was going to help rebuild Manhattan from bottom to top.

Ten minutes later, Amethyst heard someone yell "Help! Help! I can't hold much longer." Amethyst looks everywhere for that voice to see if she could get to the person before they fall. She could see a person dangling from a half-broken building in the distance. She ran as fast as she could. The person was holding on to the edge of the building. Finger by finger, he was slipping. He was almost to the last finger. He thought if he would let go for a few seconds then reach out and grab the building again, he would be fine. That did not happen.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Amethyst is almost there. When she gets there, she catches the person. They stare in each others eyes for a few minutes. Amethyst put the random person down. The random person got out of the trance and spoke.

"Thank you so much, ma'am. I don't know what I would do if no one caught me."

"You're welcome......."

"Tony Garcia, ma'am." Tony tried to look anywhere except her eyes but he could not help it. It took a few name calling to wake him up from the trance.

“Tony…..Tony…..TONY!”

“Huh. What?”

“You were staring at me for a few minutes. I called your name three times.”

“Oh. Sorry.”

"Well…..I should get back to work."

"Oh. Okay. Thank you again."

"You're welcome."
