Runaway horse
Last update I said I wanted to do some things with 1st person so here it is. Not only does this give you a little insight, barely, on the previous war it gave me some time to explore on some things. I hope you enjoy today's update and I'll see you at the end!
Virgil's POV
Things are so different, why are they so different? The rules are different, the speech is different but that wasn't the worst of it. No magic. How can they go on without magic?! Magic is so much more efficient than anything the humans use. Instead of using teleportation platforms they use horseback, which takes way too long.
I mean I knew that the humans were affected harshly by the war but to go as far as to ban magic? That's just crazy. The humans weren't even involved in the war that much, so it shouldn't have affected there lives that much. Though that's only my side, Logan's was much different.
Logan said that the war was basically divided among magic and non-magic users. The magic users were harsh and cruel, using there magic for evil. The non-magic users were the ones who stood against the harsh people of magic. The non-magic users proposed a separation of lands. The magic of users agreed but soon after they began killing non-magic users. With that the war broke out.
What I didn't get was where the dragons came in. This was supposed to be the war the dragons went extinct, so how did that happen? If the magic users used dragons then they would have won the war. The non-magic users weren't strong enough to kill the whole species of dragon. Which is why I don't think this story is completely true.
Logan's POV
I never did think about the extinction of dragons in relation to the war, though I did just find out they went extinct during that time. Putting that into the equation my story doesn't make much sense, but neither does Virgil's.
Virgil claimed that the war was fought between sorcerers and Nefeli. Somewhere during the war the dragons got involved. The sorceres knew that they couldn't win the war against both Nefeli and the dragons so they eliminated the dragons first. They were able to do that by manipulating some dragons. They told these dragons that if they helped them they would be heroes, and being heroes meant lots of treasure so naturally they agreed to help.
It would turn out that the sorcerers used the natural strength and magic of the dragons and combined it with there own. With this newly found strength they were able to slay the dragons.
This explained the dragons going extinct but didn't explain why the humans rebelled against magic. It was clear that neither of us hadn't heard the whole story/truth. This left the question as to what actually happened.
3rd person
Logan and Virgil had been droning on and on about the war and it was making Janus feel very sleepy. Nothing they said was remotely interesting. All they were doing was merging what they knew together and Janus really could care less. Janus turned to where Remus. Remus's body was limp, and his mouth was slightly open. He was sleeping.
Janus sped his horse up and pulled right up next to Remus. Janus poked Remus on the arm, hoping to wake him. Janus's first thought was to just scream at Remus, but that would spook the horses, so Janus went the calmer route. When Remus didn't wake Janus nudged a little harder, becoming increasingly aggravated.
After the 10th nudge Janus had been basically pushing Remus. He pushed him to the point that Remus went falling sideways. Instead of him tumbling to the ground he hung upside down. When he had fallen one of his feet had gotten caught on the saddle. When he had fallen he had hit the side of the horse with his head. The horse took this as a sign to speed up. And off they went.
Janus was frozen in place. Suddenly a blob of black passed him, Virgil. Janus sped his horse up as he watched Virgil's wings beat the air faster and faster. Virgil was beside the runaway horse in no time. Virgil grabbed one of Remus's thrashing hands but at the same time the saddle snapped. The saddle tumbled down the path and Remus would have been with it if it wasn't for Virgil. As soon as Virgil heard the snap he hauled Remus into the air with him.
Virgil opened his wings, stopping there motion. The air caught in the wings, like a sail. Virgil's body lurched forward, thanks to Newton's 1st law, then settled. Virgil Landed softly on the ground with Remus held bridal style in his arms. Remus looked like a child who had just had the best day ever.
"Remus! Are you alright!?"
Janus quickly un-mounted his mare and ran to Remus. Logan was close behind Janus but he didn't look in a hurry as Janus had.
"That... WAS SO COOL!!!"
Every bit of concern left Janus's features. He let go of the hand he had grabbed. VLogan was sure he would have slapped Remus then if Virgil hadn't dropped him. Virgil's face was neutral as he spoke, "I don't know why I even bothered to save you."
Janus chuckled. He was really starting to like Virgil.
"How do you suggest we get out horse back?"
The sound of hoove beets filled Virgil's sensitive ears. There were two horses, and they were heading this way.
"Someone's coming... There's two of them.."
Virgil's pupils went to slits as his eyes glowed violet. No one bothered to question Virgil as they went back into the small foliage around the lake. Virgil took off somewhere out of sight.
As they drew closer Logan noticed the royal seal on the saddle of the horse. At the same time Remus noticed the bright red sash the layed neatly over one of the riders chest. They both spoke in a soft whisper,
"Roman..."
They knew who one of them was but who was the other person?
"What is he doing out here?" Janus questioned.
"I don't know, but we could jump him and find out," Remus said in a sinister voice, a sly smile on his face.
"That sounds fun."
Janus jumped at Virgil's voice. Where was he? Janus looked all around but he saw no signs of Virgil. Maybe it had something to do with him being a mythical being.
"We're not jumping the Prince," Logan said sternly.
"Who's that with him?" Virgil questioned.
"I think it's... Patton?" Remus sounded unsure.
"Who cares who it is. What is he doing out here?" Janus snapped.
Why would roman be so far away from the palace and so close to 'The Dark Forest'? Not to mention taking the ame route as they had.
"Do you think he followed us?"
Logan hushed them as Patton and Roman came into earshot. They unmounted there horse. The group watched as they feed their horses, but there spie session was cut short. Patton turned and that's when he saw all the pairs of eyes staring at Roman and him.
"R-roman..."

I don't know how noticeable it is but I don't have a witting style pinned yet. This is making it kind of difficult do write but I'm still trying. Also I changed Virgil's wings. Instead of the outside being white it's going to be black and the inside is going to be white instead of black. I think next update I'm going to try to to some of it in Patton's POV but we'll see what happens. Another thing, I think I'm going to start doing one update a day. Typing in the dark used to be easy but recently my eyes have been really bad and it hurts to type in the dark. So until my eyes start to feel better I'm going to do one update a day, though on some occasions I might to more we'll see. I just read that back and it's all over the place, but I'm to lazy to change it. Anyway I hope you have a wonderful day, afternoon, ornight and until next time you beautiful beans!
