Mucus, lakes, and goodbyes
Like I said my schedule is messed up... Anyway I hope you enjoy this chapter (Side note: Should I call my updates chapters or updates? I personally think calling them chapters is obnoctious of myself, but I would like your opinion.) and I'll see you at the end!
"I'm covered in mucus.." Roman whined as he looked down at his clothes.
Janus rolled his eyes as he watched Roman whine. Maybe I should start calling his Princess (I love Gwaine). Janus snickered at the thought, perhaps he'd bring it up with Remus. Virgil leaned towards Janus, whispering in his ear.
"Are all men this whiney?"
Janus snorted. Roman would have started chattering on about laughing at him but he had been too 'preoccupied' to notice.
"Well, I mean it is disgusting, the mucus, but Roman's more... dramatic than other men. So, no?"
Virgil nodded his head thoughtfully as he pulled away from Janus. Virgil walked over to Roman placing a hand on his shoulder to get his attention. Once Roman stopped his useless attempts to get the mucus off Virgil spoke.
"There's a stream nearby that you can wash off at."
Roman's face lit up. He looked every which way as if expecting the stream to appear out of nowhere. Virgl turned away from Roman and began walking, saying 'This way" as an induction to follow.
The stream was crystal clear and seemed to glow a faint blue. It was truly a beautiful sight, but Roman didn't bother taking in the sight before jumping right in. Janus frowned as he watched the once still water ripple as Roman moved every which way. Janus sighes and sat down on a nearby rock. He began picking at the grass as I believe every child has done atleast once before.
As Janus sat listening to the quiet forest cold water splashed onto his face. Janus sputtered as he wiped his eyes. Janus looked to Roman wanting to push him into the water as pay back. As Janus opened his mouth to speak Roman put his finger to his mouth and shushed Janus. Janus scoffed before opening his mouth to speak again. Roman waved his hands wildly before pointing further off into the stream.
Janus's mouth fell slack as he saw what Roman was pointing at. After a few seconds of staring Janus realized what he was doing and immediately looked away. Janus really wished he could just punch Roman for making him look at that. Janus heard Virgil snicker from where he stood on the opposite side of Janus. Was he actually enjoying this?
Janus turned to Virgil expecting to see him staring off at the girls but was surprised to find Virgil looking at him.
"What?"
Virgil shook his head, smiling.
"It's nothing"
Janus looked at Virgil confused, he was about to say something when Roman cut him off.
"Who are they?"
Roman was looking expectantly at Janus, and Janus was looking expectantly at Virgil. Roman looked over to Virgil, an eyebrow raised.
"Nymphs. They take care of the land, and they tend to be a bit..."
Virgil looks away as if expecting the word to be hidden in the brush of the forest. Virgil looked back towards the other two, having found a way to word what he wanted to say.
"Disposed to likes of men"
Janus looked away in embarrassment, hiding his face in his hands. He heard Virgil snicker once again and blushed a deeper shade of red. He also heard Roman give a quick chuckle and shot him a sideways glance though Roman missed it.
"Well, we should be heading back. Your friend seemed really worried about you."
Roman nodded, running his hands through his now wet hair. Roman picked up his soaked shirt that he had set out to dry. Roman turned to Virgil, holding the nearly transparent shirt out to him. Virgil hummed in thought. Virgil smirked as an idea presented itself. Virgil turned his head towards the group of Nymphs then let out a whistle. All heads turned to Virgil, curiosity in there eyes. Virgil raised a hand and signaled for them to come his way.
"What are you doing!?" Janus' voice was a harsh whisper as he spoke, not wanting the Nymphs to hear him.
"Fixing Roman's problem?"
Janus opened his mouth to say something but stopped when he saw a Nymph a little ways from the banks. They were even prettier up close. She had long black hair that seemed smooth and silky despite the many hours of swimming. Instead of the water making her hair tangled and messy it seemed to flow within it, creating a shine to her hair. Her skin was a milky white and her lips round and plump. Everything about her seemed perfect.
Even though Janus didn't quite find himself interested in women he still couldn't help but blush. It wasn't because she was pretty but because she lacked any type of cloth to cover herself. Though Janus couldn't see anything, her hair covering those parts out of the water, it was still very revealing.
"My friend here got his shirt wet and I was wondering if you may be able to help?"
Roman gave a nod as he held out his shirt towards the maiden. Roman was completely captivated by the Nymphs beauty, though like Janus he did not consider women an interest of his.
The Nymph gave a nod, a captivating smile on her face. Then she began to stand, walking towards the shore. Janus let out a small yelp of surprise as he squeezed his eyes shut, covering his face with his hands for extra precaution, while Roman simply covered his eyes with his free hand. They both heard a high pitched giggle that sounded worthy of heaven itself.
Virgil crouched down in front of Janus as the Nymph grabbed the shirt from Roman. Virgil grabbed Janus's wrist and started pulling them towards him, in an attempt to get the hands off of his face. Each time Virgil got Janus's hands off he would just squeeze his eyes shut and cover his face once Virgil let go. Virgil chuckled.
"Janus it's fine, you can look."
Janus was hesitant but opened his eyes anyway. Turns out Virgil was telling the truth, no nudedey herre. The water had formed a sort of dress around the maiden, it was beautiful. Though Janus still thought there was a bit much showing, especially since the only thing covering the breast was he black hair, he felt much more comfortable than before knowing she wasn't showing off everything.
After hearing Virgil reassuring Janus Roman too had opened his eyes. Roman admired the water skirt, but looked away when he saw what was happening with his shirt. The water was being pulled from the shirt and had formed a sphere of water in the air. Roman watched as drops of water were pulled away from the shirt to the sphere. It was like upside rain. Instead of rain coming from the sky it came from the oceans and lakes, falling into the sky, though I suppose it wasn't really falling.

"Roman!!"
Patton tackled Roman into a tight hug as soon as he saw him. Roman chuckled as he patted his friend's back. When Patton pulled away he looked up at Roman, a stern look on his face.
"Next time tell me where you're going!"
Roman chuckled nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Of course Mi Amor. I'm sorry"
As Patton expressed his worry to Roman Virgil was once again confused.
"Mi Amor? I did not know they were courting"
Remus broke down laughing and Logan looked to Virgil.
"No, though I understand the misunderstanding."
Virgil shook his head as he looked at Roman and Patton.
"You humans sure are strange"

It didn't take long to convince Roman and Patton to go home. Patton had become increasingly worried about his mother despite his early conclusion that everything would be fine. Roman was not willing to get into any more trouble with his father. Following his 'spies' this far was one thing but actually accompanying them on their 'spie mission' was sure to enrage his father even more.
As the four men rode back to the Kingdom both Virgil and Janus ventured through Nefeli. To Janus's surprise the forest was rather calm and all animals docile. He had asked Virgil about this only to find that this was because they were on the outskirts and not the heart. Janus didn't bother asking about the heart, guessing it was the complete opposite of the outskirts.
As Virgil and Janus rode with no problems the other four were having no such luck. They didn't have any difficulties with the trip, no, the problems came in when they thought about what would happen when they got home. Patton feared that something terrible had happened to his mother. Roman was dreading having to face the Kigan as was Logan, but for two different reasons. Remus was mad because he wasn't the one going through the uncharted forest known as Nefeli.
While nothing bad had happened so far their luck was about to change.

I should really take the time to figure out how I want to spell those.. Anyway!
