'In we go'

I'm so so so sorry! This was supposed to be out yesterday, but my lazy ass put it off. I hope you can forgive me 😔... Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter and I'll see you at the end.

"So, how does this work?" Roman asked as he poked the thorn barrier with his sword.

"Something like this I'd imagine"

Before anyone could question Virgil, Janus was being pushed into the woods. The thorns seemed to swallow him. They all stood wide mouthed as Virgil put his hands on the shoulders of his next victim, Roman. Roman let out a very manly shriek as he was pushed forward. Instead of being engulfed by the forest like Janus had been he fell face first onto the ground. The forest had shrunk in on itself when Roman had been pushed.

Roman pushed himself up as Remus laughed maniacally behind him. Once Roman was standing he turned to Virgil seething. Virgil had a hand to his chin in thought. Roman turned to Remus who was still laughing. Roman strodded over to his brother, grabbed him then pushed him to the forest. Unexpectedly Remus was swallowed just like Janus had been.

"That's strange..."

Roman stared at the forest in disbelief. Roman was too busy to see Virgil grab a hold of Patton, only seeing when Patton was being pushed. Roman's reflexes kicked end and he grabbed a hold of Patton's hand, trying to stop him from falling. In the end they both ended up being sucked into the forest.

Virgil let out a hum of amusement as he stared at where Roman and Patton had disappeared. Logan looked cautiously at Virgil backing away a little ways. Virgil smirked at Logan before quickly reaching out to Logan. Logan barely registered Virgil had grabbed him as he too was sucked into the forest. Virgil smiled victoriously as he calmly walked through the path the forest had created for him, the advantages of being a guardian.

As Virgil took the last step into the dark forest Roman shouted out.

"It ate my sword!!!" Roman pointed accusingly at the thorns.

Virgil hid a chuckle, he's hand covering his smile. Roman stormed over to the barrier, poking at it.

"Tell it to give back my sword!" Roman said as he turned to Janus.

Janus looked at the Prince as if he was some kind of lunatic. Remus strolled up to his brother. As Remus became in arms reach of Roman he lifted his hand and poked his brother on the head.

"Are you alright in the head?"

Roman swatted his brother's hand away, pushing Remus away afterwards.

"I am perfectly fine, though I would be better if it would spit out my sword!!"

Roman turned his angry gaze to the thorn barrier. The thorns seemed to glower back in there own strange way.

"I assure you the thorns do not eat swords"

Roman sharpley turned to face Virgil. Virgil seemed calm and sincere, much different then how Roman felt and looked.

"And how would you know,... uh"

What was his name again? Had he even asked for it?

"Virgil"

Roman nodded his head as he shouted the name out, pointing at him off handedly.

"And you do?"

Roman opened his mouth to speak but came short of a reply. Roman clenched his jaw shut. He was the future King, what right did this man have to speak to him in such a way!?

Roman turned away from the slightly taller male. Roman stormed away from the group, the yells for him to come back soon becoming meer whispers then silence. Roman angrily kicked at the ground as if it would make him feel better. Roman was soon pacing, pulling at his hair as he cursed at his new acquaintance. Suddenly something glinted into his eyes.

Roman turned sharply to the geelm. It was his sword. Roman started walking to it when the sound of heavy footsteps replaced the silence. Roman got ready to attack bur soon realized that without his sword he would probably stand no chance against whatever beast awaited him. Soon Patton popped out of the thick brush. Roman let out a relieved sigh. Just because he was a knight didn't mean he wanted to fight whatever might have been there.

"What are you doing here Paton?"

Paton smiled brightly as he raced towards Romna.

"Looking for you silly!"

Roman's heart fluttered at his beautiful friends' words. All anger that Roman held in his heart buried itself when Patton was there. Roman never had to worry about any of his problems when Patton was around. Patton always fixed everything, whether it was intentional or not. Even if there was nothing that needed fixing Patton always made Roman feel his best.

"You shouldn't wander around in the forest by yourself, it's dangerous."

Patton smiled as he rubbed the back of his neck in a shy manner. Roman's heart fluttered once more at the adorable action.

"Sorry..."

"It's fine, you should get back to everyone else though"

Patton frowned as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Only if you go with me,"

Roman glanced at where he had seen the sword then looked back at Patton.

"Go on ahead, I'll be there in a bit."

Patton nodded his head in defeat. He turned around to go but turned to face Roman. Roman raised a questioning eyebrow at Patton.

"Which way is back to the others?"

Romna chuckled as he lifted his hand to show Patton where to go. He soon found that he too had no idea which was to go. Roman's smile dropped as he looked around hoping to find something that could lead them back.

Suddenly a small light circled Patton. Patton let out a giggle as he followed the light in circles. The light suddenly stopped in front of Patton. It was a little person, with wings. The little person held it's hand out toward the forest.

"Follow the wisp" It's voice was airy and ghost-like.

The little person flew off and once it was out of sight blue light illuminated a path. It was a floating blue flame. Patton noticed that it seemed to talk in soft whispers. Patton tried to listen to what it was saying but he couldn't decipher it so he started towards it. Then it disappeared. Suddenly a path of floating blue flames shone in the darkness.

"Roman! Look at this!"

Patton turned around to see no signs of Roman. Patton called out his name, hoping he was still around. But there was no answer. Patton was all alone. Patton turned back to the blue flames. Maybe he should follow them.

I can't believe that I couldn't stick to my schedule for two weeks... I am disappointed in myself... I wanted to talk to you guys about spring break. So my school is letting us have the next week off. I don't want to go to school but school is what gets me up to work on this, but with school off I'm sleeping in. This is most likely going to affect my update schedule. I'm going to try my best to stick to the schedule but knowing myself there's a very slim chance I'll actually succeed. Anywho, I hope you have a wonderful day, afternoon, or night! Until next time you beautiful beans!

Bye!
