Part 11: Explanation 2

I don't own the picture and there is mention of an episode of Loud House (Not Brawl in the Family)

Narrator POV:

After hearing what his grandmother said, Lincoln was understandably confused about why this was connected to this island that was protected by a green skinned, beautiful mermaid woman. Did this island have more like her or other types of the supernatural? More importantly, how was his grandmother connected to this and why haven't his father tell him about it.

"Guardians?" Lincoln asked before picking up Lily who was sitting on him with a concerned look on her face.

"Lincoln, you and Lily are my grandchildren and chosen successors to the duty entrusted to me by my grandmother. Now, I will explain everything, but you are to tell no one about what I am about to tell you." Celesta said. Lincoln was conflicted about keeping this a secret from his friends, but he was curious on this island and his inhabitants so he agreed. Seeing this, Celesta's hands started to grow purple and their surroundings changed. Eventually, Lincoln noticed that they were in a forest close to a temple in the distance.

"W..What is this place?" Lincoln asked.

"Lincoln, this is a scared place that shows the history of the sacred title that has been gifted to those lucky few who continue to preserve the secrecy, protect the inhabitants and help those in need. In here...you will learn skills to help you when danger comes by." Celesta said.

"So why didn't Dad...." Lincoln started to ask before hearing his grandmother sigh.

"I never told your father about this place since I knew that he would reveal this place to outsiders. It was a hard decision, but after observing him for some time...I knew that it was the right one. He would've told anyone about it and would lead to an era of chaos that would lead to millions of deaths." Celesta said. Lincoln couldn't argue against what she said since he knew that she was right. He saw how his father would spill everything if given enough pressure so entrusting him with this secret wouldn't be wise.

"So why are you showing this to us?" Lincoln said.

"Because I plan to entrust this title onto you and in time to Lily. Though it may be challenging, but the experience along with the connections that you gain will make it all worth it." Celesta said.

"Are you sure that we can handle this responsibility? I'm sure that...." Lincoln began before Celesta spoke again.

"In the beginning, I was about to choose one of your sisters to get this responsibility, but the situation that brought you here changed that. At that moment, I knew that none of them were worthy of keeping the peace of this island. I could tell you more, but we have more important matters to discuss for example....what we need to do to give you magic." Celesta said.

"Magic?" Lincoln asked.

"It helps when besting an opponent that is able to knock your weapon out of your hands or best you in fighting. It may take several years to master, but you should be able to handle it after getting you the nutrition and exercise that your parents neglected to give to you both." Celesta said as she continued inside while Lincoln staying silent. This was way too much information to process at the moment, but he knew that the people here needed to be protected by everyone who would wish them harm.

Unaware that this situation will take a turn that he would've never expected.

Clyde POV:

Life without my best friend has been....challenging at times. I was so used to heading over to his house to hang out sometimes while spending a majority of it in mine. He said that living with eleven sisters was challenging especially since they get into fights about some petty things. He often confided the events that occur in his house which caused concern for him. Why would they blame him for almost everything that happens?

Sure, he isn't perfect...but no one in this planet is. Sure, things happen, but that doesn't give them an excuse just to push the blame onto him. Lincoln told me about an incident where he helped his mother with grocery list with his sisters causing issues. Some were older yet got jealous that their brother was going to get some cereal. When they got kicked out, his mom only blamed him for what happened. Never asking about really happened and just deciding that this happened because of her own son.

That incident was shocking enough, but eventually Lincoln told me about other incidents. Incidents that could've went badly if someone called CPS or the police on the family. The family had gotten fairly lucky on spending some time freely without a care in the world yet  this incident was the one that made this end. As bittersweet as Lincoln leaving is, I couldn't help myself from thinking that he was going to have a better life.

Hope I see you soon Lincoln cause when we meet, we can share all types of stories with each other.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
