I finally made it to my house, a little shocked to see that my mom wasn't waiting for me on the porch. I wondered why she wasn't there to greet me when I got back from school. However, I figured that she was inside the house. I took out my house key and opened the door to find that the house was empty. My mom was not there. All that was left of her was a note that read like this...

Hi Sweetheart♥,
I got called in early today. I'm really sorry that I couldn't be there to greet you when you came back from school. While I'm at work, go to our neighbors to the right. They promised to take care of you while I'm working. They also said that they were going to have pizza and play video games this evening. Don't forget to bring your pijamas and some clothes to change into for Saturday. Also, don't forget to do your homework. I'll be back at home tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. =)

So with that bit of information, I went to my room to gather what I would need for the night and for Saturday; my pijamas, a change of clothes for tomorrow, a toothbrush, toothpaste, my pomade, a comb, shower gel, and shampoo. Seems like a lot for one night, but I made it a priority as I was packing my belongings to be prepared for anything. All of this stuff got packed into my gym bag. I flung the bag over my shoulder, put my backpack on, and for some reason I grabbed my guitar case, as well. I wasn't going to play my guitar while I was there, or at least I thought I wasn't, but I decided I would take it with me.

So, with all my belongings packed up, I headed out the door and onto the sidewalk. As I walked to my neighbor's house, I felt a little disappointed in my mom for not being able to greet me when I got home. But she was called into work early, so there was really nothing I could do about it. Besides, whoever I would be staying with had pizza and video games. Why should I complain?

I finally made it to my neighbor's house. It only took me about twenty seconds to get there. It was a nice looking house. It had pavement steps with sod around them. The house was also painted a cool, light blue and had a white door. I knocked on the door, not knowing who would open it. I was quite surprised when I saw who it was. The one who opened the door was a blue wolf with a white t-shirt, black sweatpants, and white socks. It was a little strange to see him out of his usual attire. None the less, it was a pleasure to see him. "Hi, Lobo!" I greeted. "Hey Kit!" the wolf said with a smile. He then welcomed me inside. The interior of the house was painted the same cool blue as the outside. It was also quite large. The interior had a good sized kitchen and a dining room next to it.
