"Hey, what did you see? huh?" The lady asked me as we walked back to our beds. I stayed quiet.

"Come on. What did you see?" She pleaded more.

I took her hand off my shoulder and said "I'll tell you tomorrow."

"Why tomorrow? Just tell me now. Hey. What did you see? You must have seen something. You were up there for so long. Come on." She kept pleading but I just told her I will tell her tomorrow.

It was now morning and the PA women started talking.

Attention it is now time for breakfast. All players, please form a line in the center of the room.

"Hey. What did you see? Tell me now. It's the morning now, you said you would. You were in there for a while, so go on." The lady once again kept asking me.

"Masked guys with pots, and they were melting  liquid down there." I told her.

"What was it?" She asked me.

"I couldn't tell what" I told her calmly.

"Goddamn it. I had to put on the whole show just to save your life back there, and you couldn't tell?" She exclaimed at me.

I just stayed silent and then said "I smelled it, though".

"What did it smell like?" She asked me.

"Sugar or something" I told her.

"You kidding me? Are you saying there were melting sugar in there?"

"I think they were."

"So, it was just that?" She asked me. I nodded.

She sighed and continued talking "Girl. look, if you aren't telling me everything I'll bring your eyes out with my cigarettes."

I looked up at her with my eyes widened.

She stood back up and exhaled "I guess I'm hungry. I'm craving something sweet."

She walked away while saying "Goddamn it"

I couldn't tell her what Y/N said I promised.

Flashback

"My names not Betty its Y/N"

She let go off my wrist and put on her mask.

"What's the next game?" I asked her.

"I saw them. Melting sugar" I continued until she finally sighed and said "Dalgona. Pick a easy shape"

And then she walked away and left me confused in the bathroom.

Attention. The second game will begin shortly. Please follow the staff's instructions and swiftly make you way towards the game hall. I will not repeat the introduction.

The PA women started talking and then repeated the introduction again

I walked behind the guards who were pushing the boxes.

The other guards trailed behind me with their guns.

SAE-BYEOKS POV

I walked along the stairs with the really bright colors.

Then a man started talking to me.

"You saw something, right?" He asked me. I looked over my shoulder and saw the man who kept complaining earlier.

"I happen to overhear your discussion last night. So tell me, what did you see?" He continued.

"Why would I?" I asked him.

"You're a defector, right? All the games they made us play in here are games I have known since I was a young boy. The next game will be too, I'm willing to bet. You tell me what you saw, I might guess what it is." He replied. I thought for a second. I already know what the game is but I'll just tell him a hint.

"They were heating sugar" I told him and walked faster.

The guards led us into a playground?

Players, welcome to the second game. We will begin shortly.

Players, before the second game begins, choose one of the four available shapes you see on the wall. Once you've chosen your shape, please stand in front of it.

The PA women said.

I looked at the shape then back at the man from earlier.

Maybe it would be better if I went with his choice

I followed him and stood in line.

When we were in our lines the PA women started talking again.

The time to select your shapes has ended. I will now explain the rules of the next game. All players, please take one case each from the table at the front of your line."

The doors were the guards were standing opened and people moved up to get the cases.

The guard handed me mine and I went to sit down.

I opened the case and saw a triangle with a needle

The second game is sugar honeycombs. The shape you have chosen is the shape you must remove from the honeycomb.

The time limit is ten minutes. You will pass if you trim out the shape without breaking or cracking it within the time limit. With that let the game begin.

The clock started and I started cutting out the the triangle.

Y/Ns POV

I sat down in the chair with the little TV looking at all the players to make sure none of them has broken the honeycomb yet.

But I mostly kept looking at Sae-Byeok.

Then I saw it.

A man broke the umbrella.

I looked at back at the front man and saw him press the button to inform a guard that he broke.

Then the guard shot him and he came falling down the slide.

I sighed and kept looking at the other players.

Then a women broke her circle but when she looked up at the guard she started begging.

But of course she was shot.

The another women.

Then another man.

People just kept getting shot.

I looked back at sae-byeok and noticed she was almost finished.

Please don't break it.

Then when I saw her break the last piece off without breaking the cookie I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

But then I noticed a guard just standing there.

So I got up and went to check.

I walked into the room and scanned the back of their head

"Number 29" I Said to him.

He turned around and said "Ma'am?"

"What's your duty today?" I asked him

"My duty is" I didn't let him finish and kept talking.

"Your duty is carrying out eliminated players. Why are you here now?"

"I'm sorry" he replied "I got confused"

Confused?

"Wait here till after the game ends. I'll have a word with you about that confusion." I told him then walked away.

When the time was almost up. I saw a man get up and attack a guard by putting his needle in his mask and grabbing his gun.

I was heading towards him until I saw the other superior pull out his gun and head towards the man.

Then it all happens so fast. The man shot him in the arm and grabbed him by his neck while pointing a gun at his head.

I went and stood in front of him with the other guards.

"You see this, assholes, huh? Goddamn it? What kind of sick game was that? Why do some people get easy shapes while we all get shitty umbrellas, huh? Hey, you assholes, step back in there. Stay there. Ill shoot. Ill shoot! Shoot him right here!" He yelled at us.

"Let him go and we will let you go" I told him. He only looked at me and scoffed.

"Kill them all" I told the other guards. They turned around and shot the other players who didn't finish the cookie.

Then they all turned back to him and the man was shaking.

He looked at the guard and pushed him in front of him with the gun behind his back.

"Take off your mask. Don't make me shoot." The player shakily said to the guard.

"Don't" I told the guard Walking up a little.

The man pushed his gun further into the guards back.

The guard looked at me and slowly took off his mask

He turned around and looked at the man.

"You're just a kid. What did they do to you?" He asked the other man. When the boy didn't say anything the player slowly pointed his gun at his own head and shot himself.

Then I heard footsteps and looked back to see the front man along with other superiors walking up to us. I moved out of his way as he shoot the old guard.

"Remember. Once they find out who you are, you die." He said and stared walking away.

The other superiors made way for me as I went in front of them and next to the front man.

This is by far my favorite chapter
