Background: In Greek mythology, Griffin is a legendary creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and sometimes an eagle's talons as its front feet. Because the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle the king of birds by the Middle Ages the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. Since classical antiquity, Griffins were known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions. But this girl wasn't like the griffins of the books of old. She's seen things, terrible things. And she was just the messenger, her name, Darlene Gryphon.

She was once was a college student visiting a local museum. She was fascinated by mythical creatures, and the Griffin was her number one favorite. The Chimeras were great and all, but to her, the Griffin stood out the most. One day, she was catching up on some in the reading until something terrible happened. She was then met with a witch. The witch was standing before her on a pedestal and just smirked at her. Then before Darlene could even spoke, the witch just says.

??: *appears behind Darlene* Easy, Darlene. There is absolutely nothing you should be afraid of. Like you I enjoy mythical beasts. How would you feel if I gave you the honor of becoming one?

Darlene stood completely silent, she didn't know how to react. And before she knew it, she became the things she admired. She became a Griffin without any second thoughts. And when the transformation is complete, the witch chained her up and took her back to her grotto. Like all prisoners, she was defiant, and always looking for ways out but she never really found it. She was forced to do her bidding. Her main job was to be a Messenger and provide her with information, but whenever The witch didn't like what she saw, she started to abuse the poor Darlene. It took some time but after what seems like decades, she finally broke and became nothing more than the witches servant.

Not only was she The messenger for her, she was also the guard that sits outside of her Grotto. A ruthless sentry who is loyal to her post, Darlene almost always bears a menacing glare and does not discriminate against any who trespasses the Grotto, she is extremely relentless in hunting down her prey, no matter how risky the path to her prey might be and has high intelligence. Though she never really showed it, deep way inside, she loathed being the pet of that witch and hope that one day, she'd finally be free from the chains she's held captive in.
