One afternoon, team Natsu members were relaxing their day off as they just finished a tiresome mission a day before, of catching the bandits who were experts in stealing the valuable artifacts.

It took them a week to complete this mission as they had to find the correct time to nab those losers.

Gray Fullbuster who had confessed his romantic feelings to Juvia a month back missed his girlfriend very much.

He was eagerly waiting for her arrival from a solo mission which she left before his arrival.

He wondered what her solo mission would have been which is taking her this long to arrive. He just was worried about her safety. And hoped she would arrive soon and moreover be safe and sound.

As Lucy was silently browsing through Sorceress Weekly Magazine something caught her attention.

She looked confused and thought whether she should show this article to her friends or not.

But before she could turn the page and leave the matter as it is. Natsu broke the silence.

"Hey Lucy, what are you reading? Oh isn't it Juvia?" He asked in his not knowing what's happening around deamnor.

This caught the attention of her friends, more over, Gray was hyped and wanted to know what article has been published about his girlfriend in the magazine.

Just when Lucy was about to change the topic and flip to next page. Happy let the cat out of the bag.

"Hey it's Juvia and Lyon…" Happy said in a happy tone but soon changed his tone when he read the article.

This made the exceed feel bad for Gray as he unknowingly brought this topic out which would make Gray feel agitated.

"Wait… What does it say? Let me take a look at it." Gray snatched the magazine from Lucy's hand and began to read what it says about it his girlfriend and his frenemy.

Seeing the article, Gray's eyes literally fell out of his sockets and anger filled his cold body.

Lucy patted his shoulder to make him feel ease, "Gray, I don't think it is true. You know Juvia won't do something like that. She loves you. She must have some reason."

"Lucy, what does it says? Why is Gray this angry?" Erza asked now concerned about her friends.

"It says,
 What's this Juvia Locksar, the beautiful water mage of Fairy tail spending some lone time with handsome member of Lamia Scale, Lyon Vastia out in an empty village inn.

   Is she cheating on her long time crush, who are now the hottest couple?

  What could have led to this sudden development of relationship between them? Was it from the beginning itself?

 Let's find out more about the truth in the next week edition."

"There is also a picture of them where Lyon is hugging Juvia while both of them are semi-naked." Lucy said in a depressed tone.

"Gray, don't be angry. Those reporters don't have any better work of stalking the images and write some explicit contents to run their magazines.
  
We need to have a serious talk with Jason about such made up stories."

Erza tried to make Gray feel easy but he was still agitated and didn't know what to feel about this issue.

His whole heart and mind believes his Juvia won't betray or cheat behind his back.

  But a part of him doesn't want to believe as the another person involved is Lyon.

That idiot ever since led his eyes on Juvia was trying his level best to conquer her but failed.

He did challenge Gray once that he would still fight for her and find a perfect opportunity to grab her into his life.
 
This was the reason which was making Gray feel paranoid and confused.

It is safe to say right now he is was not in right mindset to actually hear what might have happened.

To add more fuel to the raging fire, the guild doors opened to reveal Juvia as cheerful as always and was searching for her handsome boyfriend and found him in his usual place.

"Gray, just remain silent on this matter. Talk to her about this once you are in private."

Lucy whispered in Gray's ears as they saw Juvia coming towards them.

"Hi guys, what are you doing? Hi Gray-sama, how are you? Juvia missed you."

Juvia greeted them and hugged Gray from behind and rested her head on his shoulders.

Gray shrugged her hands which made Juvia confused and knew instantly something was bothering her beloved.

Erza glared at him to not to open this matter but it didn't work. For Gray, he needs to know what actually happened so that he could smack that reporter for writing something which might cause bad influence on his woman.

"Gray-sama, is something wrong?" Juvia asked and raised her hands to caress his cheeks as he stood up.

Gray caught hold of her palm and she winced in pain which Gray didn't bother to notice.

"Where did you go? With whom were you staying? Why did it take you this long?" Gray questioned her.

He didn't still let go of her palms and squeezed her palms even more. Slowly her wincing got louder which was noticed by Wendy.

She thought it must be because of his hold and continued to see what's happening before her.

"Answer me, Juvia." Gray yelled at her which caught the attention of whole guild at them.

Erza and Lucy facepalmed. Natsu patted Gray's shoulder, "Hey Ice-princess, everyone is watching. Just let go of her and continue this at the home." Natsu whispered in his ears.

Before Gray could pull her out, she spoke, "Juvia went on a solo mission to assist a merchant in making weapons."

"Did you stay with anyone? And where?" Gray asked in a serious tone.

"No, Juvia didn't stay with anyone. Why Gray-sama? What happened to you?" Juvia asked in confusion.

Her answer made Gray even more angry as she lied to him about staying with Lyon.

"Liar, didn't you stay with Lyon? What were you doing with him at the inn? Answer me, Juvia."

Juvia eyes widened in process when she heard her Gray-sama told her what actually happened.

"Gray-sama, how did you know? Juvia was going to say this but…. I have reason for that." Now Juvia in a raised voice.

Then Gray showed her the magazine and she read the article. She covered her mouth with the other palm and looked at him.

"Explain about this" Gray raised his voice and squeezed her palm tightly.

Juvia let out loud cry of pain. Wendy was now worried about her and made way to Juvia.

"Gray-San, Juvia-san is hurt? Let go of her hand." Wendy tried to pull Juvia's palm out his grip. Gray glared at her which made the little girl to tremble.

Juvia was shocked to see this type of behaviour from her beloved and didn't expect him to doubt on her.

"Wendy-chan, Juvia is alright. So Gray-sama, you believe this article more than your girlfriend's words?" Juvia asked him clearly hurt by his words and action.

"If it didn't have any hidden intentions, then you could have told me the truth from the start.
   I'm asking why did you hide this matter? What led you to that situation?"

The last question didn't sound right and made Juvia agitated as her beloved doubted her love and herself.

"So you doubt me? Thinking I'm cheating behind you back. Answer me, Gray. It's this what you think of Juvia, huh!!" Juvia raised her voice to match his.

The way she called Gray without the suffix made everyone realise the matter is taking a very serious turn. She pulled her palm from his grip.

"Yeah,I think so. Were you cheating on me from the starting? Then why did you have to lie about loving me? You could have gonna with Lyon...."

Before he could finish and realise what he was blabbering, he felt a sharp pain on his left cheeks.

It was pin-drop silent in the hall when Juvia slapped Gray after hearing this baseless accusations.

Tears were streaming down her eyes, "Gray, you idiot, I hate you…. I hate you… I can't believe you think this low of me."

She ran out of the guild crying hardly. That's when Gray realised his mistake in using wrong and hurtful words.

The members of his team and guild were giving him a look of "you messed up, man".

He covered his eyes with his bangs and made way to his home.

The following 3 days neither Juvia nor Gray came to the guild.

What made everyone worried was the weather around the Magnolia changed drastically and it was raining cats and dogs continuously.

"Not today also. When will this Gray make up with Juvia?" Macao sighed as he was drying his wet hairs with the towel.

"If this goes on, in another 2 days, Magnolia will drown due to the flood." Wakaba added.

Just then Gajeel entered the guild, "Hey Gajeel, did you talk to Juvia? What did she say?" Levy asked in concern.

"Yeah, she didn't let anyone of us in. Wendy did say she was hurt. She didn't let her in also to treat her injuries." Erza joined them.

"Yeah I talked to her. And also wendy is treating her now. Don't worry. Thanks for allowing me to enter the Fairy Hills."

Gajeel said and sat to eat his metal breakfast while Lily was drying his long mane.

"Hey what did she say? Is she alright?" Lucy now asked him.

"Hey Bunny, where is that Stripper? Need to smack him down and bury him under the soil for thinking so low about Juvia.

Just because she was madly in love and felt her mind run loose. He thought she was cheating him,huh!!! Seriously, what's wrong with his mind?"

Gajeel growled and slammed his fist on the table.

"He was just out of his mind during that moment. He couldn't exactly think and blurt out some words without his knowledge.
We are sure, he never meant any of those words to her."

Erza intervened defending her friend from the wrath of iron dragon slayer.

Just then Lyon entered the guild and placed his umbrella in the stand and made way to the group.

"Hi where is Juvia-chan? Need to give her this." Lyon casually said with a smile.

Gajeel caught hold of his collar and yelled, "Idiot, its because of you that the situation is so messed up.
What do you want to do with her anyways? Can't you see the weather, its because of you…" Levy caught Gajeel's arms and pulled in away.

"Hey *coughs* what did I do? I just came to return the package *coughs* she left this when we took shelter in an empty cottage the other day." Lyon told them.

Then Lucy explained what happened 3 days prior and reason for Gajeel's anger on him.

Lyon facepalmed, "That Gray, always messes up his life. How can he doubt Juvia-chan? Man, that idiot is paranoid that I will take her away.

  Believe me guys, ever since I came to know Juvia's heart belongs to that punk. I left her and respected her opinion.

 But I acted that way because this Gray needs to man up and make her feel love which deserves from him." Lyon told his heart felt words.

"So what do you say about that picture and article? Don't tell me you don't about it until Lucy told?" Erza asked.

"Yes, after spending a day at the inn, I left for my job and returned yesterday night. While coming back, I stayed at that inn then I came to know Juvia has left the package which she had with her.

  So decided I will pay you guys a visit, that's why I came now. And the reason for that picture….."

Gajeel stopped him from telling the further information.

"Wait tell the whole story in front that Stripper. Hey blue cat, go fetch him here.
  Don't tell that this ice mage has come. Tell him Juvia wants to talk, then only he will move his lazy ass here."

Gajeel instructed Happy and he complied to it.

As Happy entered the open window of Gray's bedroom.

He saw the ice mage lying in his bed in deep thoughts which didn't make him realise someone else is also present in his room.

The blue exceed went upto him and patted his shoulder, "Hey Gray, what are you doing?" Happy saw tear stains on Gray's face.

"Oh Happy, it's you. When did you come? What do you need?" Gray asked in a calm voice.

"Gray, Juvia wants to talk to you in the guild hall. Come with me, I will take you." Happy lied to him.

Gray saw outside the window and it was still raining heavily.

"Hey is she crying still? Come let's go and I need to apologise for my mistakes.
  I never meant to say those words. Just wait, let me get freshened up." Gray left the exceed and went to bathroom.

After getting freshened up, Gray and Happy received the guild amidst the heavy rain.

When he entered the guild, he instantly knew for what reason he was called out for. He glared that the exceed who by now went up to his partner's shoulder.

"Gray, I heard what happened between you and Juvia? I'm sorry to think that I'm the cause for rift between you guys. The thing is…."

Lyon was stopped when Gray caught his collar and slammed him down on the ground.

"Why did you do something like that? Idiot, why do you want to ruin my life?" Gray growled at him.

Gajeel caught Gray shoulders and pulled him off Lyon.

"Listen Stripper, he didn't do anything to ruin your life. It's that damn mouth of yours that ruined everything.
  Listen to what he says then you will understand the mess you have created."

Then Lyon began telling what happened  that day.

"See I was on my way to the mission to the northern part of Fiore, that's where I saw Juvia totally battered and clothes torn and bleeding.
   She was slowly making way and I found her.

   She told me she encountered some bandits and fighting them led her to those situations.

I helped her and walked few distance to find any help but none was available nor any village as far as the sight went.

  Luckily, I found an empty cottage that's where I took her and treated her wounds according the stuffs Chelia thought me.

Then she complained she was feeling cold, so I hugged her to provide some body heat apart from that I didn't do anything wrong.

We stayed there for a day till she was able to recover upto some extent where she walk on her own.
    
 I left her and went to do my mission after making sure she was indeed alright. This is what happened. Believe me.

You made a huge mess and completely misunderstood." Lyon said in a depressed tone.

After hearing this, Gray was guilt stricken. He felt very guilty how he had hurted his lover with mean words in front of the guild.

"See what a huge mistake you made, Gray. Now go apologise to Juvia. I wonder will she ever forgive you?" Lucy patted his shoulders.

"Erza, is she in the dorm?"

"Yeah, go for it lover boy and take this package which she left in the inn." Lyon gave him the thing which he brought along with him.

"Bye, I need to apologise to my lady." Gray ran outside without bothering about that heavy rain.

Once he reached her room in the Fairy Hill, he knocked the door which was opened by Carla.

"Oh it's you Gray. Come in, she is taking bath." Carla led him inside the room.

There he saw Wendy with some bandaids and clothes. He also heard the sound of shower.

"Wendy, I'm sorry for that day. Is she alright?" Gray asked in concern.

"You should apologise to her not me. For now, she is alright. If she would have let me in 2 days before, then by now she would have been completely alright. Okay, you got somethings to talk with her. We will leave."
Wendy got up and went out with her exceed.

Gray stood there by the cupboard and kept the package on the table. He waiting for his lover's arrival from the bathroom.

As Juvia came out from the bath with a towel worn around her body. Both of their eyes widened at he sight of each other.

Gray blushed seeing her in just a towel and turned back instantly while Juvia was shocked to see him in her room.

"Gray….what are you doing in my room? Get out from here, Juvia doesn't want to talk to you." She yelled at him.

"Juvia, listen I know my apology won't suffice the wound which was caused in you heart my harsh and rude words. But I'm really sorry. Please forgive me." Gray said still having his face towards the wall.

"Juvia doesn't want to hear anything from you. How could you doubt my love for you?
   That's what you think of me? Am I such a low being in your opinion?" Juvia spoke with tears streaming down her eyes.

He could clearly make out the hurtful expression from her speech as she spoke in 1st person which she does only when she is in extreme of mood.

This is making him even more guilty for hurting her.

"Juvia, I just said those words at the heat of moment. I never meant those words. I know they are not true. I know the love you hold for me. Even I love you, Juvia.

  Just that Lyon was afflicted with you in an article, it broke my fuse and made my rant on you by saying those words.
 I'm sorry for that mistake. Please will you forgive me.

I'm not telling to forgive me instantly but please do consider my apology.

Here is the package which you left in the inn, Lyon brought it for you. I will leave now."

As Gray was going to turn the knob of the door, she stopped him. He looked at her still her back facing him.

"That package is something Juvia brought it for you. Take it with you and leave."

"I don't want anything from you in this state. Give it to me once you forgive me for my mistake. I will leave but before I go, I'm sorry and I Love You." Gray said in his sincere voice and left her.

Soon the heavy down pour stopped which meant one thing Juvia was feeling alright.

It is safe to say she was not that depressed anymore but that doesn't mean she had forgived her lover for his mistake.

It has been 3 weeks since Gray apologised for his misunderstanding.

Everyone tried there best to convince her but still she didn't forgive him.

Even he didn't take the initiative to go and convince her once again.

Then one particular day, she thought it was enough for making him feel this guilty.

She decided to play with Gray. She smiled and talked with everyone but ignored him.

As she was making way outside by passing behind the Gray's back, "Hey Juvia, where are you going? Why don't you sit and talk with us? Just ignore Gray"

Lucy said to her and Gray made a space for Juvia to sit which didn't go unnoticed by her.

"No Lucy-San, Juvia is fine. It looks like someone still doesn't want to apologise to their mistake properly. Juvia wants a proper apology. She is going back to her room."

Juvia said with a smile and Gray couldn't see because he was facing his beer mug.

Lucy and others understood she has finally forgiven him as she smiled for the first time in a while.

"Okay Juvia, do you want me to accompany you?" Erza asked her.

"No Erza-san, Juvia wants to be alone. Anyways, didn't you have some work by the cake shop later." Juvia said causally.

"But they won't be anyone in the FairyHills now. You will feel lonely." Erza added.

"Yeah, but Juvia thinks she will have a guest in a while now. That person at least should come and apologise to her properly. Juvia will leave now."

She waved them bye and made sure Gray heard everything and understood the meaning behind her words.

As if on cue Gray got up and followed her which earned smiles from his friends.

Once Gray entered her room, he saw her sitting in the bed with the package in her hands. He locked the doors.

"Juvia knew Gray-sama would come." She smiled at him.

"So did you forgive me? Now that I have become Gray-sama again." Gray asked with a smile as he thought it is safe to smile back.

She tapped the bed and indicated him to sit next to her and he took the hint and sat next to her.

"Juvia, please forgive me. I didn't mean any of those words at all. I just became mad at that time and didn't know what I was blabbering out.

 Sorry I'm not a good boyfriend because I hurt you a lot with harsh words. Please…"

Juvia stopped him by placing her index finger on his lips.

"Enough of I'm sorry. You have already apologised in a way Juvia wanted to.
  And besides, Juvia has already forgiven you. So take this package, it's for you, Gray-sama." Juvia gave the package to her lover.

Gray took the package and opened it to find a t-shirt of navy blue colour.

"Its a small gift Juvia wanted to give you as she forgot to give you one for our 1st monthsary.

This t-shirt is made up of a material which does the job of healing the wounds and injuries.

While protecting this package from those bandits, Juvia got injured. So do you like it, Gray-sama?

And the reason Juvia didn't straight away told you for staying with Lyon-san is because she doesn't want you to know that she got hurt
That's why she hid this matter that time. " Juvia smiled at him brightly.

Gray hugged for the first time in a while and caresses her back,

"I'm sorry. Please I swear, I won't lose my cool ever and hurt you with mean words ever. Just this time, you wholeheartedly accept my apology. So how are you feeling now?
 I know you love but …." Juvia stopped him by kissing his lips and he responded back.

"Gray-sama, Juvia accepts your apology. Juvia swears she will never betray or cheat behind your back.

She guess, something she must have done to make you feel paranoid but still Juvia is sorry for making you doubt on her." Juvia also apologised even though the mistake was on the Gray.

"Okay enough of saying these apologies, can I show you my apology instead?"

Gray smirked and raised his eyebrow making him look even more handsome for Juvia.

"Sure Juvia gives permission. But be gentle because it's her first time." Juvia whispered in his ears making her blush hard and him fully red.

"Sure anything for my Juvia. I Love You." Then he began to show his apology to her for the rest of the day.
