Growth Spurt

His icy, yet caring eyes, his soft looking dual colored hair, even the scar on his face put Bakugou in a trance. He was beautiful, and no one could deny that about him— especially not his boyfriend, who fell further and deeper in love with him as the seconds passed.

"Katsuki, babe, you're staring at me again," Todoroki stated, rather bluntly, though he was in no way opposed to the attention. "Is there something wrong?"

Bakugou gave a small smile, looking into Todoroki's different colored eyes. "No, there isn't a problem. I just don't understand what I did to deserve you..."

"Well, after my breakup with Midoriya, you were there, and I guess as I fell out of love with him; I fell in love with you. I mean, you treat me so much better than he did... and I guess bottoming isn't that bad."

Bakugou chuckled and sat up from Todoroki's bed, pecking his lover's left cheek. Todoroki grinned, happily accepting the gesture. The two heard the door open downstairs, and Todoroki gulped as he heard the quite noisy clomps of his father's footsteps.

"It'll be fine, if he doesn't like you being with me, I'll beat his as*," Bakugou stated proudly, an ever so slight growl in his tone. "Like hell I'd let him separate us."

"As much as I would like that, please don't... The last thing I need is for him to have a grudge against you." Todoroki sighed as his father slammed the door open without knocking. "Hello, father..."

"Shouto, who is this? And what did I tell you about having people over?" Endeavor grunted, ignoring his son's greetings.

"You said not to, sir, but this is important..." Todoroki couldn't make eye contact with his father, and that was the first time Bakugou saw Todoroki look so helpless.

"Well?" Endeavor looked at Todoroki expectantly, angered that the company was keeping him from being able to train his son.

"This is Bakugou Katsuki, he won the sports festival— remember?" Todoroki was gaining a bit of his confidence back, and was surprised that Bakugou had stayed quiet this long. "He's also, as of a month and a half... my... well..."

"I'm Shouto's boyfriend, Mr. Todoroki." Bakugou finished politely, first— or rather second impressions were everything.

"Well... it could have gone worse." Todoroki sighed, treating the burns on Bakugou's left arm as Bakugou held ice to his cheek.

"Yeah..." Bakugou replied, though it was obvious something other than his injuries were bothering him.

"Don't bother lying, what's wrong?" Todoroki looked Bakugou in the eyes, curious about whatever was bothering his boyfriend.

"Nothing's exactly wrong, half-and-half beauty; I was just thinking about something." Bakugou paused, glancing at the ceiling, then back at Todoroki. "I know it's early, but I was thinking we could get married after college. I mean, we're pretty f*cking happy and I don't see us separating. I mean, hell, we've managed to deal with each other without problems for almost two months."

Todoroki grinned, finding the perfect opportunity to tease his lover. He was unfamiliar with doing so, as he wasn't really the teasing type, but the chance was to perfect to pass up.

"I don't know... You're a little short~" Todoroki teased, searching for Bakugou's reaction.

"So you're saying you'll marry me and crap if I become taller than you?" Bakugou smirked.

"Let's see if you ever get there shorty~"

Over the next two years, Bakugou did everything he could to get taller. He drank gallons upon gallons of milk, drank vegetable drinks that were supposed to boost bone growth, he even had his parents help stretch him— but it only seemed to be working a little. Todoroki has grown about four inches, now taller than Aizawa and the same height as Mezou Shoji.

Their third and final year in high school was coming to an end, passing right before their eyes. Bakugou was starting to lose hope, but then a miracle happened. Whether it be all his hard work finally paid off, or he gained some skipped genes from an ancestor, he finally had a long-awaited growth spurt.

In the span of the last three weeks of school, he gained several inches. He had passed Todoroki by a little over two inches, and his growth wasn't finished yet.

Then, finally, after three years at U.A., the class was graduating— and Bakugou was proposing all over again. Though, this time, he would be more formal about it. He even went out of his way and through trouble and stress to get Endeavor's blessing— not to mention he had the perfect ring— his grandmother's. It seemed like it was made for Todoroki. It had a large diamond in the middle, with several smaller diamonds surrounding it. Then there was a ruby on either side, and finally, to top it off there were tiny aquamarine and benitoite crystals in a line down the middle of the sterling silver band.

He had the ring in a small, velvety black box with white cushioning on the inside. The box was in the pocket of his dress pants, and he was waiting for the right moment. It was currently after graduation, everyone was out of their robes, and were just gathered in the front yard of the school.

This was his chance. Todoroki was talking to his mother, father, and sister, along with two other males. He walked over, a proud smirk on his face.

"Hey, Shouto, Mr. and Mrs. Todoroki." Bakugou greeted, smiling. He almost never does that, smiling, especially to my father... Todoroki's sister walked up to the group, handing her mother and younger brother a glass of water. "Hi, Fuyumi,"

The group began talking about things such as their future plans, and Bakugou kept trying to make eye contact with Endeavor. Finally, after several attempts, the two make eye contact, and Endeavor notices the small shape of a bow in his pocket. Albite hesitantly, Endeavor nods, clarifying that he has given Bakugou his blessing.

The group was laughing, bringing up funny things had happened in the past. Joy filled their faces, and Bakugou grinned wider as he saw Todoroki smile.

"Hey, Shouto, remember that conversation we had a couple year's ago after I met your father?" Bakugou asked, grinning.

"Yeah... Why?" Todoroki answered, a soft smile displayed on his features.

Bakugou pulled the bow out of his pocket and got on one knee. "How about now, shortie?"

Bakugou opened the box, and Todoroki did two things that were so very unlikely of him; he blushed madly, falling in love with Bakugou all over again, and crying, a single tear cascading down his cheek. He fell to his knees and hugged Bakugou, then, as the sun began to set over the horizon turning the sky orange and purple and the clouds bright pink, he crashed his lips against his lover's, overjoyed.

"Oh my god... Yes..." Todoroki mumbled. "Yes yes yes, a million times over yes!"

Bakugou smiled and wiped Todoroki's tears with his thumb, slipping the ring on his finger.

"A perfect fit." Bakugou chuckled, it was finally happening. After they finished they're time in college, they'd be married.

Izuku slammed his fist against the wall of the building, rage clouding his thoughts. "Goddamn it! He was supposed to be mine!" He growled, glaring the couple as they held hands, showing the ring to their friends as people cheered and congratulated them.

He always regretted how he Todoroki had broken up, he knew he should have paid more attention to him. He spent so much time with Uraraka to make him jealous, but he never wanted that to happen. He didn't want Uraraka to kiss him, especially not at the moment when Todoroki happened to be walking by, but that's how things went down-- and it pissed Izuku off.

How dare Bakugou come in and sweep Todoroki off his feet! That was Izuku's job, that was how he would repair Todoroki's and his relationship, but it had to be Bakugou. And to make matters worse, Izuku continued to upset Todoroki after their breakup, and things just went south from there.

Even after over two years, he still wasn't over him. His beautiful eyes, his soft hair, his muscular body, his handsome face... That was about it, actually. He never really liked the scar, he saw it as an imperfection. Another never, though, is that he never actually loved Todoroki for himself, he liked the idea of him, he liked his looks, he liked the popularity it gave him. But he would never admit, whether it be to others or himself, he'd never say it, and he'd never say how terrible he really for it either.

So, he stayed at in the background, punching the wall as he cursed the fact that he missed his chance to get back with his past lover. Meanwhile, the couple smiled, laughed, they spent their last moments at that school enjoying the company of their friends and teachers. But strangely enough, Bakugou couldn't help but search the crowd for his former friend, almost disappointed he wasn't there to spend what may be the final time the whole class is together with them. But you know what? Screw that nerd. Just having Todoroki with me is enough.
