I have read innumerable fanfictions where the oc saw Georgie get taken by Pennywise and if I'm being realistic, I'm pretty tired of it. I'm not stating that it's a poor idea, I'm just asserting that it's not the most original.

Possibly you could have them see somebody else get taken, possibly Betty Ripsom or Edward Corcoran, I haven't seen that be made so far.
