accident

before we move forward, just wanna clear up something; the last chapter was about tae's past when he was still a high schooler and hadn't sent as a trainee yet

CHAPTER 8

-----

BTS may look like a bunch of childish and playful kids from what the fans saw from the videos but it became very clear since the day the boys were all trained together that there are times that they only meant business. they also starved into perfection and worked double hard than the other groups. they were bunch of geniuses and hard workers, those who struck for the best and left behind the ones that were not capable of catching up.

usually during their free time they would allow themselves to have fun as young boys their age should have and do as they pleased, although in a tad more restricted manner than normally it was supposed to be. the managers were excellent on dealing with their schedules and daily activities that they didn't have to worry about. they only needed to improve their skills into the perfect ones.

Bangtan Boys was a very unique group. each members had their own specialty. the shining star full of potential was none other than jeongguk who sang like an angel and danced like a beast. everyone did little to hide their pride and hope in the youngest that he would rise and become a very well-known and acknowledged individual. jimin who killed with his perfect high notes and had mastered in dancing took pride from everyone which was to be expected of the group's main dancer. then there was namjoon whom everyone highly respected and appreciated the for the knowledge and english skill. hoseok who was the king of dancers and was born with such talent of dancing. suga the genius who made every songs special with his touches and rapped like there was no tomorrow. and jin with worldwide handsome face and beautiful unique voice.

but taehyung was just... taehyung. he had difficulties in searching what was best for him. he wasn't best in singing like jimin, jeongguk, and jin; he wasn't best in rapping like namjoon, suga, and hoseok; and he also wasn't best in dancing like hoseok, jimin, and jeongguk. he didn't have the charisma and handsome face like jin, he didn't have smart brain and english skill like namjoon, and he wasn't even cheerful or kind or bighearted like jimin and hoseok. he didn't even as strong as half of jeongguk's strength. yet, he wasn't the most terrible one either. everything in taehyung screamed average to weak, as he thought. there wasn't anything taehyung could brag about himself, always. he never moved forward but stayed rooted on his place.

things like favoritism and seniorism always happened everywhere. those who were favored were allowed more free-time, more praise, and the ability to get away with things they weren't supposed to be doing. there also existed one least favorite--the one who received the hardest of scoldings from the teacher, the one who stayed behind for more practice, the one who smiled even when he was tired, the one who was goofy and outgoing on the outside, the one who always worked the hardest because he wasn't the best in anything--was taehyung.

the best ones would be held back by the worse ones, and the worse ones got the punishments from doing it.

today was no exception.

jeongguk hesitated leaving Taehyung behind. hoseok and the dance teachers stood unmoving, gazing sternly at taehyung, not moving an inch until the others left them.

jeongguk was sure as hell that taehyung was improving fast but hoseok and the others were persistent on deeming that he was not good enough. the poor boy had danced the song for probably two times more than jeongguk had done today, and moving into three times more when he was instructed to stay behind for extra practices. taehyung looked so pale and sick with too much sweats to be normal drenching whole of his body, yet his eyes were determined as he danced.  taehyung began the routine, trying his best to will his tired body to keep up with the strenuous movements of the song.

jin kindly danced along with taehyung, claiming that he also lacked in some moves even if hoseok said that he was more than good. but a sudden hard movement in the choreography made taehyung bumped painfully and roughly onto jin as the younger lost his strength to hold his balance. taehyung then fell on top of jin who groaned loudly because of the pain.

"argh!! my knee! you fell on my knee! get off now, PLEASE!" jin cried out, moving a terrified and exhausted taehyung out of the way harshly.

the members were on jin in a flash, accidentally brushing taehyung off too rough that the poor boy fell on the ground again. the others were circling jin and immediately treated the injury on his leg.

"you," namjoon hissed, turning to face taehyung. his expression was one pure of anger and hatred that made taehyung flinched, trembling. "look at what you've done! jin could've sprained his leg and we would be needed to delay the comeback just because you were so stupid and fell on him!"

"i-i'm really sorry!!" taehyung stuttered, kneeling on his abused legs because of the extreme practices in the past few days. "i r-really d-didn't mean to! my legs were tired s-so i l-lost--"

"we're all also tired but you can't just use that excuse to do something so careless like that! jin was so kind that he accompanied you dancing!"

"i-i'm really sorry--"

"i'm not the one who you're supposed to say sorry. say it to jin," namjoon spat coldly, turning his attention onto jin who was clutching tightly on his injured knee.

"i'm sorry, jin hyung... i really didn't mean to fall on you... it was an accident, please," taehyung begged, tears already brimmed the corner of his eyes. he was terrified, jin couldn't get sprained knee and made them delay the comeback. it was all his fault, he was such a trash that caused all of this.

jin nodded shortly, still caught up with the pain. namjoon immediately scooped him up and brought him outside the room to treat the injury.

no one could oppose their leader whenever he was beyond furious. the members gathered their things and made their way out, trailing behind namjoon. suga didn't utter any words but jimin gave taehyung a hug on his way out, making  jeongguk who hadn't moved glared at him hatefully.

"why is it so hard for you to keep up, huh?" hoseok spat, revelling in the way taehyung flinched and covered his face with his bangs. "aren't you being a bit pathetic here, taehyung? get up. i expect you to perfect the dance by tomorrow."

"and leave him to practice by himself, jeongguk." hoseok left after sternly ordered jeongguk who still looked at taehyung worriedly. an angry hoseok was also a no-no for everyone so jeongguk dejectedly followed.

he gave taehyung who stayed rooted on the floor where he fell with face down a few pat on the top of his fluffy hair and whispered, "i'll call you soon" then left.

as soon as everyone left, taehyung broke down. he cried and sobbed out every pains he felt in his heart. it really hurt so bad when no one believed him. he really never meant to hurt seokjin so why had everyone accused him like that? he was so tired, confused, and sad.

taehyung wanted to desperately to tell the others what was happening, that he also hurt both his legs by his fall but namjoon and hoseok had stated their words that made taehyung not dare to even look up to their eyes. this broke him down enough that he felt like telling someone would be just as much of a burden. as if he was not such a burden for the group.

he felt like he deserved the punishment, this never ending practice, the hurting words and accusations. that it really was his fault when a broadcast, photo shoot, or dance practice went wrong.

sitting alone by himself in the closed room had really terrified him in the point that he began gaping for air, desperate to control his ragging breath and frantic heartbeats. he could feel the panic attacks coming, and no one was there to help him. he was again alone.

memories were rushing through inside his mind. a man was beating him into a pulp and a sound of glass shuttered suddenly appeared, making taehyung flinched violently. he proceeded to cover his ears as tight as he could whilst cowered into a ball on the floor, trembling uncontrollably. the room was suffocating him, it was getting smaller and smaller, darker and darker, and two small doors appeared in front of taehyung's body, closed by itself.

and once again, taehyung found himself inside a closet that prevent him from any freedom.

he passed out.

i swear this story has happy ending, you guys just have to wait for a while
