"Dway!"

"Harry love what's wrong?" Draco asked.

Harry started crying. Draco rocked him and started singing his, now usual, song. Harry fell asleep and Draco laid back on the couch he had transfigured for them. Draco couldn't help but wonder if harry was feeling the pain of their friends.

Everyday was the same routine. Harry woke up sat in a corner with his snake. Ate when Draco told him. Sometimes he would crawl onto Draco's lap and curl up. But he didn't laugh or smile. No matter how hard Draco tried. The light in Harry's eyes were dim.

"Harry love talk to me. Is it our friends?" Draco had had enough he needed Harry to be happy.

"He huwt dem ova and ova. And day say day don't know. But he huwt dem mowe. I see it in my dweams." Harry cried clutching Draco again.

"Then I think we should save them. Once and for all put an end to all of this. What do you say love?" Draco rubbed Harry's back.

Harry nodded and, for the first time in days, kissed Draco's cheek. He laid back down more relaxed.

"Harry I have a plan. But it may be hard."

"Can 'nake help?"

Draco frowned. "Snape is in the castle."

Harry shook his head. "Not 'nape. 'nake. Like dis one but moves awound."

Draco mentally slapped himself. "Where is snake?"

Harry climbed off Draco's lap and walked to the archway. Draco followed. Harry walked a little ways forward and turned around a tree. There was a vine which Harry tugged on. 'No... Not a vine.' Draco realised with horror. He snatched Harry away.

The snake dropped with a thud to the ground. The ground shook and Draco backed away. What Harry had tugged on was a very small part of a very large snake. The width of it's body was almost double Harry's full height. It seemed to go on forever as it untangled itself to face the boys.

"Sssnake disss isss Dway." Harry said.

"Thisss iss the young masstersss love then." The snake bobbed its head.

Draco was frozen in fear. Harry tugged on his robes. He slowly tore his eyes from the snake.

"Dway 'nake no huwt. Is okay. 'Nake is fwiend." The snake nodded at this.

Draco relaxed a bit. Then he sat down with Harry and the snake and they got to planning. Of course Draco was left out of everything except his ideas.

The halls were empty. Well almost empty. Death eater's patrolled to make sure unneeded students stayed in there dorms. So when a sobbing dirty platinum blonde was spotted by the front door every other hall was completely emptied. Even the Chamber was left with seven tied-up, half conscious people.

Draco was dragged by Voldemort himself into the Chamber. Exactly where he thought they would be. The hanging bodies immediately tensed and looked at the boy being pushed forward.

"I will only ask once. Where is the boy?" Voldemort said.

"Dead." Draco answered.

He earned shocked cries from everyone except Snape and Voldemort.

"Liar! Curcio!"

Draco just dropped to his knees. He didn't scream he didn't cry. Just stayed there on his knees with clenched fists. The halls remained empty as everyone was now in the Chamber watching.

Lucius stepped forward. "Your mother would be disappointed in you Draco."

Draco lifted his head. "No. She wouldn't because I kept my promise. As her dying wish."

"She's not dead." Lucius said.

"She is. She told me herself you disgusting human." Draco spat. "I only came here because Harry is dead. Search my mind if you don't believe!"

Voldemort cast another Curcio. And again Draco hardly reacted. He just slumped to the ground.

"That won't do much to me you mad man. My father was already kind enough to make me get used to it." Draco drawled as he closed his eyes.

"He can't be dead. You... you foul lonesome little cockroach how could you!" Hermione yelled.

Voldemort stepped forward and grabbed Draco by the neck. He lifted him off the ground and growled.

"Harry? Harry love leave it alone." I backed up. "Harry come here now! Please love."

"But Dway is wike my stuffy. It no huwt." Harry said reaching forward.

The snake lifted it's head. "Harry NO!"

Harry was gone. Out of my sight as the snake closed its mouth around him. I cried grabbing my wand.

"Avada Kadava!" The snake withered.

It moved slightly then fell. I kicked it. Taking my anger out on it's head. It still didn't move. My spell worked. I had no one anymore. My friends. The castle. I started walking towards the castle.

"You stupid boy! You should have let that snake eat you too." Voldemort roared. "You. Go bring that thing here. I want Harry's body. It's in the forbidden forest."

"Yes sir." 5 death eaters left at once.

Less than 20 minutes later the death eaters returned with the giant snake. Draco smiled. Blaise and Pansy noticed and started laughing. Everyone turned to them. Draco started laughing as well although not as much as his friends.

"You guys are no fun. What the hell!" Draco complained.

Blaise shifted. "Sorry Draco but we haven't been able to laugh in a while as you can see. I couldn't help it."

"Dray!" Pansy laughed out. "I think you owe your father more credit than just your tolerance for pain."

Draco shook his head. "Damn Slytherins and their inability to let things be."

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!" Voldemort yelled.

Everyone was so fixated on the three laughing teens they took no notice of the missing death eaters. A number that was slowly going down. Draco made himself comfortable on the floor.

"Oh mighty Lord. Count your men." He smirked.

When everyone turned the snake was laying still. And small hands pressed against binds. The binds loosened and a stick was placed in the hand of the person. As composed as always no sound of surprise slipped. Voldemort checked his ranks and noticed the same 5 from earlier gone.

"Where have they gone?" He addressed the others.

They shrugged. This time is was Snape who started to chuckle. He never looked up. Lucius demanded what he was laughing at and Snape sprung into action.

"Expalliamus. Protego Maximus." Snape yelled with a flourish of his wand.

A little bundle of hair bolted from the shadows. It slammed into Draco and Draco stood up in and instant summoning his wand. He freed the rest, tossed over their wands and a battle erupted. Voldemort was the last one standing as Lucius was knocked unconscious. Voldemort was about to throw the killing curse when jaws closed down around him. His wand knocked from his hand. His legs ripped from the rest of him.

Draco walked over to the snake. "I bet that's the most you've eaten in a while. Huh?"

"Hardly but it wasss the mossst exssiting meal ever." The snake bobbed its head.

"She said no but she wiked how fun it was." A mumble came from Draco's neck.

"Harry I'm okay. Everything went fine. You don't have to hide love." Draco rubbed Harry's back. "Let's get our friends to Pomfrey yeah? Then she can make them all better. And we can get snake back to our spot."

Harry nodded.

"Don't ever do that again Malfoy!" Hermione yelled.

"Sorry Granger. I just couldn't take it anymore. Harry looked dead. He wouldn't smile or laugh. He hardly did anything other than eat and sleep." Draco shrugged. "He was being tortured as much as you guys. He watched you getting tortured when he slept."

"I believe we should take the survivors. Before the snake eats them too. What snake is that anyway. Never seen one like that." Snape said.

Hearing his voice Harry immediately pushed out of Draco's hands and ran to him. Snape picked him up. Even if he didn't understand the sudden attachment. Harry spoke in parsletongue then turned to the rest.

"She h... hy... hybwid spiwt 'nake." Harry said.
