Jeongguk sat in Taehyung's lap on the comfy sofa of the latter's apartment, arms slung around his neck, playing with the hair that reached his nape and kissing him softly.

This is what they've been doing for hours yesterday, falling asleep in eachother's arms and waking up completely tangled.

Tae just wanted to prepare breakfast but was interrupted by a cute sleepy Jeongguk clinging to his back, puckering his lips.

So they moved over to the couch, Jeongguk getting pulled on Tae's lap, sleepily whining a 'kissy, please' before their lips attached in a sweet peck.

All tiredness washed away as eachother lips was like caffeine for both of them, energizing and awakening.

Ever since they confessed to each other the day before they really couldn't keep their hands off eachother, just constantly attached by the lip, moving slowly and passionately against eachother, trying to convey their love with every single movement.

Taehyung's hands gripped the curves of Jeongguk's waist carefully yet tightly, occasionally moving them up and down, carrasing him.

Meanwhile Jeongguk felt Tae's scent swirl around him, pulling him into a familiar state of drunken love, one hand moving to cup his cheek to deepen the kiss, the other continuing to twirl the red dyed hair around its fingers.

He breathed in deeply, loving everything about this -- the feeling he was getting in his stomach that he never felt disappearing with Taehyung, the warmth and safety he was feeling around him.

Everything seemed like utopia to him in that very moment -- eventhough reality really was not.

They both got pulled out of their tranced state, hearing the vibration of Taehyung's phone ring loudly on the glass couch table.

Jeongguk detached himself from Taehyung, rolling of his lap onto the couch, hair still messy and oversized t-shirt hiked up to his waist.

He watched Tae lean over to his phone lazily, not catching the caller ID as his view was still kind of blurred from just waking up 15 minutes ago -- his slightly bad eyesight also played a role in that.

"Hm?" Taehyung hummed, going to rub his eyes, still very sleepy, eventhough he was just energized by Jeongguk's lips.

He heard the muffled sounds of the person on the other end of the line, sounding oddly familiar but not being able to place it.

"No, i didn't forget." He suddenly sounded more awake, already walking to the staircase.

Gguk just stayed slumped together on the sofa, reaching over, stretching his arm, to get the fluffy blanket as he was feeling cold right away with Taehyung not beside him.

He snuggled into the large fuzzy blanket, putting it behind his back and flipping it up to cover his head and pulling it close infront with his hands, closing his eyes not even noticing that he was drifting back to sleep.

As he was almost off to dreamland he heard steps coming to his direction.

"I'll be back later, baby. Love you." He faintly heard a whisper and with that he eventually fell back into a deep slumber.

Taehyung was standing infront of the big wooden door, heart pumping fast, cold sweat running down his back and stomach turning.

He hasn't felt that nervous in years, not even before his debut.

It has been hard the past few weeks, being in hiding and pretending that everything was okay -- he didn't want to give Jeongguk an even harder time.

He heard voices already conversing in the next room, no laughing like there usually would be at company meetings -- this was a special one anyways, of course it wouldn't be as usual.

After standing infront for another 2 minutes, Tae finally gathered enough courage to knock on the big door, the voices behind immediately becoming quiet before one uttered a 'come in'.

Taehyung took a deep breath, adjusting himself to stand straight and confidently before putting his hand on the handle and pressing down, going inside.

"Good morning." He bowed, watching everyone get up to do the same.

He spotted the usual people sitting around the big conference table, seeing Jin at his usual spot as well, walking over and taking the free seat beside him.

"Don't worry, Tae. It's all gonna be good, okay?" Jin whispered beside him, smiling in encouragement.

"I don't know, hyung. I hope so." Taehyung was worried, stomach turning even more upon hearing the door open again and seeing the CEO enter with a folder of papers tugged between his arm and body.

Everyone lifted themselves to bow, Taehyung following suit.

"Good morning, everyone." He nodded as he took the seat across from Taehyung. "We are ready to start then." He looked over to Jin who was the first one to speak.

"We are here to decide which direction we want to take with the latest incident regarding our artist Kim Taehyung." As Jin started, Tae continued to feel more and more uneasy. "We already discussed various options the days right after the scandal and wanted to settle for one of them today, the options being-" Jin took a deep breath, probably feeling stressed as well.

He isn't only Taehyung's manager but his friend who would want the best outcome for him in this tricky situation.

"We either deny the accusations and relationship and give one of our other artists a comeback right away to distract and wait until the incident is forgotten about until we can press another Kim Taehyung comeback -- or we agree with the accusations in form of a press conference and deal with any possible backlash leading from it." Jin exhaled loudly, ending what they already talked about in previous meetings.

Taehyung recalls letting him go also being in the talks but that option being discarded as he was a very valued member of the company, much to Tae's relief.

"Thank you, Manager Kim. I would like to have Miss Jang read out any drops or rises in sales again." Taehyung only heard murmurs as his head was just clouded with various thoughts.

What if they forced him to give up his happiness and leave Jeongguk -- not that they were together yet.
He would rather take the option of leaving the company then if he was being honest eventhough that would also be the worst for him.

"Kim Taehyung?" He was pulled out of his thoughts with a nudge from the side and the CEO calling out his name.

"I'm sorry. Could you repeat the question?" Taehyung sat up again as he was slouched down while he was in deep thought.

"I wanted to know your statement on the matter because to actually lead your career back in the right direction, i believe option one would benefit you."

"I am strongly in favor of telling the truth. I don't want to blantly lie to my fans or the press. True fans who support me for what i am, will never leave me and i can deal with any backlash as long as i am allowed to fully be myself and not hide anymore. I have been in hiding from everyone for long now, fans must worry and i do not want this to continue. And also-" He took a deep breath, words just flowing out naturally as he was speaking right out was he was thinking.

"I finally found happiness with someone that i truly appreciate and would even dare to say that i love and there is no way that i will pretend not to know him or that i will cut the contract with him." Taehyung ended his sentence strongly, looking right into the CEO's eyes.

"Interesting. Are you really sure with this, Taehyung? You have to know that your own career is at big risk here. We know that man that is caught up in the scandal was or is a fan which makes this situation even more risky for you, Taehyung. Think about this well." He tapped the pencil on the table, sitting back a little bit, a serious look on his face.

Taehyung didn't even need to think for a second about this -- or did he?

He believes that he'd rather take the risk of receiving backlash rather than having to lie to his fans and ending his relationship with Jeongguk-- who made him feel like he could do anything, as long as he stays by his side.

Taehyung is in love with Jeongguk, despite the fact that they've known each other for a short amount of time, and he was sure that he was gonna choose him over anything-

"Think about this well, Taehyung. All the years of sleepless nights and hard work, all the time you spent training to be the perfect idol would be gone for nothing! You could lose everything, Taehyung! You'll lose sales, ou'll lose promotions, respect, and most importantly, fans!" The man taunted each word a stab to Taehyung's racing heart, adding to his anxiety.

Taehyung just wanted to be happy.
why did his simple wish have to be complicated?

He wants Jeongguk and his fans by his side, he wants to be himself and still be loved and accepted, why is that so hard?

He couldn't risk his career, not after he worked so hard, not after having to starve himself to get to where he is.

He can't throw it all away.

His mind is telling him to choose his career, to push away his desires and just continue being the happy-go-lucky idol that he's supposed to be.

But his heart yearns for Jeongguk.

and after a few minutes of an intense battle between his heart and his brain, he finally decided.

"I want to take that risk, sir." Taehyung sternly nodded, nervous about what response he'd get. "I want to be with Jeongguk, I love him, and he loves me. I-it's as simple as that."

After a few minutes of silence, he hears a defeated sigh followed by a breathless, "Alright." The CEO then continued,"It seems you really like that boy and after all you are like my child Taehyung. Then it's decided. We will arrange a press conference as soon as possible. Thank you, everyone, for coming."

Taehyung didn't even need to think for a second, he'd rather take the risk of backlash than to just lie and maybe having to leave Jeongguk

He felt like with him by his side he could really deal with anything.
