Chapter 4
"I'm back Mom!" Gem yelled as she returned home.
"Go straight to your room, you have a lot of ORGANIZING to do," replied her mom coldly.
Gem normally would or rolled her eyes and ignored her mom if she wasn't as excited to try out the spell she had just learned.
Talking to herself has alway helped work out a difficult problem and this time was no different. Walking to the center of the trashed room, Gem studied her surroundings. "Let's start with the easiest, trash."
Gritting her teeth once again, Gem began the organization spell to separate the trash from the rest of her room. Pieces of crumpled paper and semi-moldy peices of food floated into a pile beside the unicorn. Crinkling her nose at the putrid smell, Gem promptly dropped the trash into her waste basket.
"Now for the dirty clothes!"
An entire layer of the floor was suddenly enveloped in a yellow aura and dumped into a clothes basket.
"Oh! I have tan carpet in my room! I had forgotten... Anyways onto my closet!"
Opening the door of her walk-in closet, Gem was suddenly buried in a pile of random odds and ends.
Poking her head out, Gem pulled herself out of the large pile with some difficulty.
"That was probably from the last time I 'cleaned' my room. Well lets put all the books away!"
Over 3 dozen books floated over to an almost bare bookshelf and arranged themselves neatly.
Gem walked over to a haphazard pile of clean clothes on her bed. With a quick burst from her horn the clothes folded themselves and stacked nicely in the closet.
"And finally all of my toys!" The toys clumped together in the air above Gem's head. She concentrated on how she wanted them to go into the closet. The toys obediently lined up on the many shelves in the closet in perfectly organized rows.
Exhausted, the unicorn glanced around her room. She pulled up the sheets on her bed and fluffed up her pillows. Finally the room was organized. Gem flopped onto her bed and immediately fell asleep.
