I Am Going Nuts - NehpetsEnal

I am going nuts

I awoke to find myself in front of the fireplace, to find the sleeping beauty Snow White snoozing, a head with the most beautiful face was rested gently on my knee.

I had vague memories of Cinders and her asking me to stoke the fire, but it all seemed rather strangely placed among the ashes, that was my mind, especially as I am drinking pink champagne from a glass slipper.

I heard a chorus of white birds singing and smelt something delicious cooking in the kitchen, what was it the Seven Dwarfs were cooking, it certainly wasn't green apple pie?

I thought I'd better take a look and followed a trail of breadcrumbs that led to the kitchen, when suddenly through the cottages sugar paned window a movement in the underbrush caught my eye.

I could not make it out, but whatever had made the movement now stood frozen like a cardboard cut-out, as if encased in a glass coffin.

I was once again distracted as a commotion erupted in the kitchen, the bacon joint had disappeared and questioning fingers were now pointing, could this be the thing that broke a friendship?

I then heard the sound of hoof beats in the grove, how fortunate the arrival of Little Red Riding Hood and the Huntsman brought the fracas to a close, just before Sleepy smacked Sneezy on the nose.

I am beginning to wonder what could happen next, when without explanation the Huntsman yells at the top of his voice

"Stand and Delivery".

"Never replies the Wolf, I'm a taker, not a giver."

I see a glint of steel as the Huntsman raises his axe and yields a mighty blow which chops the Wolf clean in half and then there are two. To the sound of trumpets, a handsome young Prince comes dashing from the woods wielding a sword, a fierce but short battle ensues and pretty soon there a dozen or more tiny wolves running around, holding the bacon joint above their heads.

I saw the bacon joint fall to the floor as the dwarfs began stamping on the tiny wolves and as the final one gasps his last breath, they celebrate, not mourn his death and they'd all gone from grumpy to happy.

I am ushered back to reality as I hear my Granddaughter call. "Grandad, grandad wake up, wake up we've nearly finished", she is tugging at my beard, trying to move it from where it rests on the open pages, hiding the end of the story underbrush away from her excited eyes.

The End
