Halloween

Your POV

"We're all meeting at Chan's house." Yuki told me.

"Okay," I replied.

"See you there." Yuki told me.

"Bye,"

   I hung up and walked out of my warm house and into the cold breeze.
I held a bag with my entire costume inside, hanging from my right hand. My phone in my left hand.
We all decided to meet up at Chan's house. I guess Taurtis spent the night there so Sam and Grian were gonna meet us there too.
I had my costume ready.

"Hey!" Chan greeted me before giving me a hug.

"Come on in!" She smiled as she welcomed me in.
I walked into Chan's house and saw Taurtis walk into the room followed by Kate~Chan, Freya, and Lil~Chan.

"Hey guys!" I smiled and greeted them.

"Hey Y/N," They all replied, at different moments.

"Is everyone here?" I asked Chan.

"We still need Yuki and the boys," She replied.

"I think Yuki went to the train station to wait for them." Taurtis told me.

"If I would've known I would join her, poor Grian must be really uncomfortable." I said, letting out a laugh after I finished my sentence.
Chan's doorbell rang making me jump.

"I'll get it!" Chan yelled from the kitchen.
Chan opened the door and smiled.

"Yuki!" She walked out of the house give Yuki a hug.

"We're not important?" I heard Sam ask.

"Hello Sam and Grian." She said in a teasingly tone.
Yuki and the boys walked in.
Grian immediately walked over to me and gave me a quick peck on the cheek.

"We don't have to leave for about another thirty minutes, you guys all brought your costumes right?" Chan asked. Everyone nodded their heads.

"Okay well start getting ready,"
We all rushed off to change into our costumes.

I walked out of the bathroom in my costume.
I was wearing a pinkish red noblewoman dress. Yuki bought me a wig to go with it, dark brown curls.
(Inspired by Buffy the Vampire slayers costume for S2 the Halloween Special, picture soon to be added)
I looked around the room to see everyone's costumes.
I noticed a few more people were there, Kate~Chan's and Lil~Chan's friends were all there too, including J.
There was one more person I wasn't expecting as well, Ellen.
I didn't really mind that the other boys were here and I had nothing against Ellen.
I just didn't really know Ellen that well.
Ellen was also wearing medevil clothing, just not anything fancy. She looked more like a medevil witch.
My eyes traveled to everyone else's costumes.
Grian was wearing some type of potato and tomato mixed costume. Sam and Yuki had similar costumes, they were both dressed up as the devil.
Taurtis was dressed up as a street fighter and Chan was dressed up as a witch.
J was dressed up as a scientist, even though he already is one.
Lil~Chan had got some type of hair spray paint and made her hair have different shades of blue along with headphones on her neck. She wore a long sleeved black shirt with music meters on it in different colors along with black leggings.
Freya did look like an anime girl too. She got a green school girl outfit and did her hair and everything.
Then there was Kate~Chan in her neko costume. She made her hair white and her costume was a black dress with a white collar and pink laced gloves and matching cat ears along with a black tail.

We all looked pretty awesome, in my opinion.

"Should we leave now?" Chan asked. Everyone just shrugged, nodded their head, or said

"Yeah".
We all walked out of Chan's house and got into our own groups. Basically everyone went out of friend zone and into couple zone.

"Do you guys want to go to a few houses just for fun?" Chan asked.

"Sure, why not," I replied.
We walked a few streets down and came up to a house.
I walked up and rang the doorbell.

"Trick or treat!" We all said.
Yes we're all like, sixteen and seventeen but we don't care.

A girl with dark brown wavy hair and ocean blue eyes opened the door.

  "Hey! Happy Halloween!" She said to us, passing out candy. She was extremely cheerful and nice.

We walked to the next house and rang the doorbell.
A girl with short and curly brown hair and very dark brown eyes came to the door. I noticed she also had cat ears, might be part of her costume. She smiled bright at Taurtis.

"Happy Halloween!" She cheered after handing us candy and shutting the door.

We walked away from that house and to the house next to it.
We rang the doorbell and a skinny girl with curly blonde hair came to the door. Her outfit was quite cute, I'll be honest there. She was wearing black glasses, a superman t-shirt, jean shorts and superman converse.

"Happy Halloween!" She smiled at us as she handed us candy.

"Same to you," I replied smiling.
We went to quite a few more houses.
One of the people who came to the door was a little terrifying.
This happened.

"How about this house?" Yuki asked.
We all agreed and walked up.
A boy around our age had answered the door. He had spiky dirty blonde hair and two different eye colors, one brown and one red. I was just guessing contacts for costume. He was definitely good looking.

He had given me a more, devilish smile at me and only me. He gave a lot more candy to me and everything. Guy was a bit creepy in my opinion.
Back to present!

"Do you guys want to go in the school?" Sam asked.

  Taurtis looked a bit nervous when Sam asked everyone that question. I don't blame him.
His dead girlfriend is haunting that place. Everyone else had a few shivers too, accept Kate~Chan's and Lil~Chan's friends since they didn't really know why we were all scared. I noticed Ellen wasn't scared either.
But she is used to all this stuff anyway so it didn't really matter.
When everyone agreed to go into the school, we all entered.
The school definitely looked a lot more scary at night, especially on Halloween.

"What should we do?" J asked.

"Let's walk around and see if we can spot Professor Gareth and Salex." Chan suggested.

"To make it scarier lets split into groups." Yuki suggested.

"Who's deciding groups?" Freya asked.

"How about groups of two to four and we all choose our group?" Kate~Chan suggested.
We all agreed and turned to one another.

"Do you want to go with Sam and Taurtis?" I asked Grian.

"You're okay with that?" He asked.

"Go ahead," I replied. Grian smiled at me and walked off to where Sam and Taurtis were.
Yuki and Chan walked over to me.

"Hey is it okay if it's Chan and I?" Yuki asked me.

"Sure, no problem," I replied.

"Thanks Y/N," They said before walking off.
I didn't question why they didn't want me in the group, if they wanted their own girl time that was fine with me.
I noticed everyone else was in a group besides Ellen and I. I walked over to her and tapped her shoulder.
She turned around and looked at me.

"Do you want to be in a group with me?" I asked.

"Sure, why not," She replied.
Ellen and I walked up the stairs first.

"Did Grian invite you?" I asked.
I knew him and Ellen were, old friends.

"Yeah, he didn't want me to be alone on Halloween," She replied.

"That was nice of him."
I didn't really know what to say when it came to Ellen.

"I'm actually happy we're in a group together. I feel as if we haven't gotten to know each other that well." I randomly said.

"I agree, you've been here quite awhile now," She replied. It was really awkward between us.

"Do you want to go to Gareth's classroom?" She asked me.

"Sure," I replied.

I had never been in Gareth's classroom, since he was already dead before I got here.
Gareth's classroom was indeed boarded up but there was a way where we could crawl in so that's what we did.
I could see the rope and stool where Gareth hung himself.

"Why did he kill himself?" I asked Ellen.

"His wife left him. I don't understand why he's upset about it though, she was a real *****," Ellen replied.

"You met her?" I asked.

"Yeah when we were all really little she was our teacher. That woman hated Gareth and definitely hated us," She explained.

"I don't think Gareth commited suicide." I said out of nowhere.

"Why do you think that?" Ellen asked me.

"Well you say she was awful and she hated Gareth. I don't understand why Gareth would wait so many years to kill himself," I replied.

"Maybe they were still together?"

"No you say she hated him and that she left him. I don't think she would wait that many years to leave him," I explained.

"But she's dead now, so it doesn't matter."

"She's dead? Interesting,"

"What do you mean?" Ellen asked.

"I mean, what if she faked her death and murdered Gareth and made it look like he commit suicide?" I asked.

"It's possible. The woman was crazy,"

"Let's get out of this classroom, I don't want to be in here anymore." I said.

"Okay,"
We left the classroom and continued to walk around the school.

"I heard how Salex died. It's pretty tragic." I said.

"Yeah, Salex was a really nice girl. She didn't deserve to die," Ellen replied.
I only nodded my head.

(Yuki didn't kill her in this story, it was an accidient)

"Where do you think everyone else is?" I asked.

"Probably in the gym doing some type of challenge or at Gareth and Salex's graves," Ellen replied.

"Why aren't they going to Gareth's classroom like us?" I asked.

"They probably will later, apparently you normally see Salex at her grave or near a window," She explained.

"What about Gareth?"

"He's all over the place, including his old house,"
Time passed by and I enjoyed talking with Ellen and learning more about spirits.
Time does fly by because we did eventually have to meet up with everyone else.

"Where to now?" Taurtis asked.

"Movie night?" Sam suggested.

"Sure, why not," Grian replied. We turned to everyone else.

"Freya and I wanted to have a sleepover so we're gonna go." Lil~Chan told us.

"I better head home too, I have stuff to work on," J added. We turned to the rest of the group as Freya, Lil~Chan, J, and Lil~Chan's friend walked off.

"What about you, Kate~Chan?" Yuki asked.

"I have a curfew, thanks for having me tonight! Bye!" She said before running off. Her friend awkwardly walked after her.
It was now just Sam, Taurtis, Grian, Yuki, Chan, me, and Ellen.

"I'm gonna head home, it's late enough as it is." Chan told us.

"Do you want to join me Taurtis?" Chan asked.

"Sure," He replied.

"Bye guys!" They said in sync before walking off.

"Movie night at our apartment for five then?" Sam asked.

"Okay," I replied.
I knew Grian was coming since he lives there and I'll be there.
I turned to Yuki and Ellen.

"You guys gonna join us?" I asked.

"I'm going to head home. Thanks for having me tonight," Yuki replied before giving Sam a quick kiss.

"No problem," He replied.

"Night Yuki!" I waved to her as she walked off.

"Ellen you going to join us?" Grian asked.

"I don't see why not," She replied.
After all that was decided, we walked down to the train station. Luckily Pufferfishpete was there.
Grian bought us all our tickets and we boarded the train.

~Time Skip~

We were in the middle of a movie, I found it rather relaxing cozied up next to Grian and around my friends watching movies.
Grian's arm was wrapped around me. My head was rested on his shoulder with us sharing a large warm blanket. Sam and Ellen were cozied up too, just not together.
That wouldn't end too well.
Ellen seemed to be enjoying the movie. Sam obviously knew every line and Grian was enjoying it too.
This was nice.
A sharp pain turned in my stomach and ran throughout my body. I screamed once in pain. Grian was already on his feet making sure I was okay.

"Sam get out of here!" Ellen yelled.
I could tell Sam was confused. I could see the shadow appearing behind him. I couldn't warn him.
Could Grian and Ellen see him?

Ellen's POV

"Sam look out!" I yelled.
Sam darted out of the way.
The shadow was right behind him ready to strike.
I turned back to Y/N and noticed her eyes were now pure black.

"Grian, back away quickly!" I yelled.
Grian did as told.
Y/N wasn't the same anymore.

"Ah, Ellen! So lovely to see you again!" The shadow exclaimed.
He floated over to where Y/N was standing and handed her a knife that looked sharp enough to go right through the gut.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked the shadow.

"Y/N wanted another chance at life, so I gave it to her," He replied.

"Sam, Grian, get out of here." I whispered. They snuck around the shadow as he was talking to Y/N and made it out.

'At least they're safe.' I thought to myself.

"You may go now, Y/N." The shadow said before disappearing into thin air.
She turned to me and said nothing but stared into my soul.

"Y/N this isn't you. I know you're in there somewhere." I said.
She walked right past me and out of the room.
Why didn't I stop her?
