Lake woke up, the first thing she saw, was Branch. She got up, seeing Branch asleep and leaning on her. She smiled, and kissed his cheek. She stood up and tucked him in. She sighed and fixed her hair and tied it up. As she looked into the mirror, she saw the picture of Poppy and Branch, well, Branch was upset, and Poppy was posing for the picture. Lake chuckled, what started his grumpy self? Then she heard yawning and turned around to see Branch rubbing his eyes and getting up. Lake smirked and crossed her arms. "Morning sleepyhead.".

She giggled and covered her mouth. Branch rolled his eyes and got up. "You're an early bird. What does it feel like?".

"Terrible" she giggled again, loving her own jokes and remarks. Branch chuckled, and realized he let her sleep in here. Boy, if everyone knew, he's literally dead of humiliation. Branch couldn't believe he's saying this but... "Lake?".

"Yup?" She asked with a confident look. Then he cleared his throat for the millionth time, he held her shoulders and looked into her beautiful green eyes. "I trust you, Lake. And... I lied. I actually remember you as kids. I was just making sure you were serious, not fooling around with me and...".

Then Lake rolled her eyes with a smile and raised her index finger on his lips. "Actually, I already knew you were lying. You think I can't hear you under your breath?".

Branch blushed and scratched the back of his neck. Then Lake giggled and hugged him. Branch's eyes widened and was about to push her away, but instead, he hugged her back and whispered into her ear. "Say anything about this to anyone, you're dead.".

"I'll remember that," she whispered back as they parted. "Oh! And... I won't be here for a while. I'm gonna be traveling around the whole forest. So... see ya soon, Branch".

She kissed his cheek and waved at him as she exited his bunker. Branch waved back at her, and smiled a bit. As he heard the latch closing, he sighed and looked around his bunker, already missing her. He looked into his pictures and chuckled a bit.

Back to Lake, she exited his bunker. Turning back, she took one last look into his bunker. She nodded and whispered under her breath. "I trust you, too, Branch. Stay safe.".

She grabbed a spear from her hair, the spear had a sharp point and a rope at the end. She threw the spear to a tree and grabbed he rope and swung away. She landed on top of a branch, smirking as she took one last look at Troll Village. As she jumped off, she heard music playing and continued to walk away.

"Never break a sweat for the other guys,

When you come around I get paralyzed,

It comes out wrong like a cry for help,

It's just not fair,

She finished singing and arrived on top of a cliff and saw the whole view of the forest. She jumped off, and threw her spear again and swung away, holding the rope. "Woohoo!".
