Lake watched Branch enter a rock-looking bunker. She saw him enter through a latch. As it was about closed, Lake was able to throw a spear to stop it from closing. She ran to it and grabbed the latch and jumped in. As she searched the bunker, she could hear sighing and looked around and saw light. She followed it and saw Branch sitting on a chair and leaning on a table and looking at the invitation Poppy gave him just a minute ago. Lake cocked a brow, she took one more look around and saw pictures of Grandma Rosiepuff and him as a kid when he was still blue. Lake's eyes widened, she remembered that blue troll. Could it be? Could that grumpy grey troll be the happy blue troll she always loved as a friend? But her thoughts interrupted her when she heard a gasp. "Hey! You again! What are you doing here?!".

Lake's eyes widened as she turned to him and gave a wave with a terrified and fake smile. Then she quickly ran away, but accidentally stepped on a trap that grabbed her foot like bare teeth. Ugh, not again. Lake fell on the ground and hissed, she could feel a bit of blood coming out from those sharp teeth. Branch saw it and quickly got the trap out of her foot. He gently held her foot as she hissed. Branch started carrying her bridal-style and laid her on his bed. She lied on the pillows as he grabbed a wet towel. "This is gonna sting a little... so... just squeeze my arm if it hurts. Don't worry, I'll be ok.".

As he gently laid it on her foot, Lake hissed and gripped his arm as he said. She closed we eyes tightly and felt him washing the blood away. Then he started wrapping a bandage around it. When Lake opened her eyes, she could tell he had a small smile on the corner of his face. But when Branch noticed her looking, he quickly looked away and hid the smile. "What are you doing here?".

He asked a bit more calmly, which surprised Lake a little. Then she sighed as he kept wrapping the bandage around her foot. "Poppy asked me to check you out. To be honest, I actually wanna check you out. You seem mad and... you just... wanted to keep us safe. I... understand.".

Branch's eyes widened as he turned his head to hers. She gave a warm smile, but then she cleared his threat and finished wrapping the bandage. "You shouldn't go to the party... I'm actually... worried...".

"I wasn't really going. Bergens scare me... they... were involved in a tragic past... you can understand that right?" She asked as Branch blushed and faced away from her direction. "Um... sure... I.. probably can...".

Lake already knew who he really was. He's the best friend she always loved as he own best friend. She just couldn't understand why he was grey. Did something happen to him? But she doesn't want to question him, he probably doesn't want to think about it... Lake smirked and crossed her arms. "You know? I think you like that Poppy...".

"Excuse me?! I hate her. She's so annoying with her parties and her singing and her hugging" he said as Lake smiled and rolled her eyes. "Then explain those invitations and scrapbooks?".

Branch's eyes widened as he jumped up and started shoving the invitations in the cabinet and closing the curtains. But he struggled because they all started falling. Lake snickered, then started giggling and laughing. Then he succeeded and crossed his arms. "Do not tell anyone about this. But I repeat, I do not, like Poppy.".

"Sure you do, Sherlock." She said and rolled her eyes. Lake grabbed the picture frame of little Branch and Grandma Rosiepuff. Branch swiped it from her hands. "Hey!".

"You can't touch this! This is mine! I don't trust you to hold this." He said as Lake pouted and crossed her arms. "So,  you don't remember me at all?".

"Uh...what?" He asked as Lake got up and struggled to walk properly. Branch cocked a brow as she crossed her arms. "I'm Lake. Your childhood best friend".
