Lake knocked at Branch's door, hoping to see him. She bit her bottom lip, hoping he's still awake. It was night time. She also had a nightmare. She thought she could find Jinx through the forest, but he wasn't able to be seen. Hopefully Branch could get up. As the door opened, Lake's face lightened up and she smiled as she saw Branch rubbing his eyes and yawning a bit. "Lake? Is everything ok?".

"Branch... is it ok if I could come in?" She asked a bit calmly as Branch blinked. But then he took a step aside as she entered. Branch closed the door and turned on the lights. Branch turned to face her as they sat on her couch. "Anything wrong? You could tell me.".

"I may act like a kid but... I had a nightmare... I tried finding Jinx but he wasn't able to be seen" she said as Branch made a glare. "That darn Jinx. But why did you come here?".

"Because I know you'll be there for me, right?" She asked as he nodded. "Yeah. Mind telling me what was the dream about?".

She paused for a moment. Actually, her dream had Branch in it. She had a dream where a Bergen caught him and took him away along with everyone else. Then she cried and fell to her knees. She blinked, then rubbed her nape and whispered. "I don't think I can say it...".

"No worries. Need anything? I got everything you need" he said and stood up. Lake shook her head. "No thanks. I'm alright. But... is it ok if I can stay here for the night?".

"Sure." He said and shrugged his shoulders. Lake smiled and clapped her hands lightly. As Branch headed to his bed, Lake knocked on his door frame as he turned around. Lake chuckled and whispered. "Can we talk longer?".

"Yeah, sure..." he said as she sat on his bed and crossed her feet while putting a pillow on her legs and resting her elbows on it and using her arms to support her head that was leaning on her hands. "What do you want to talk about?".

Branch sat in front of her with his legs crossed. He shrugged his shoulders and asked. "What do you want to talk about?".

"I asked first" she said and shrugged. Branch scratched the back of his head and thought of it for a while. Suddenly, he felt something lying on his lap and looked down to see Lake lying her head on his lap. She smiled as she looked up at him. Branch blushed and asked. "What are you doing?".

"Nothing. Why?" She smirked as he rolled his eyes with a smile and started combing her long blue hair with his fingers as he answered. "Nothing. I just think what you're doing is odd.".

"Pff, odd is another word for extraordinary." She said and giggled. Branch chuckled and looked in a different direction. "Whatever you say.".

"Branch?" He heard her ask as he looked down at her. "Yeah?".

"What does it feel like now that you're happy and blue?" She asked as he looked away with a small smile on his face. "Actually, its kinda complicated. It's hard to balance my 'grumpiness' and my 'happiness'.".

"Really?" She asked and yawned a bit. He nodded and looked away from her and tried to avoid eye contact. "Yeah. But it takes time and I'm starting to get used to it. Right?".

But then he didn't hear an answer. He looked down and saw Lake asleep while smiling. He smiled and carried her bridal-style and put her over his bed and tucked her in. He held her cheek and brushed her hair off her face and saw her cuddling the blanket. He kissed her forehead and whispered. "I love you.".

"I love you, too..." he suddenly heard her saying as his eyes widened. She's probably sleep talking. But then he sighed and turned off the lights and exited his bedroom.
