Chapter Two- "If you get caught, blame it on Anderson!"

AN: Welcome to Chapter Two! I'm so excited to kick it off! I was originally going to make it longer but I guess there's no need to in this chapter. Happy reading!

*Song of the Chapter* : Viva La Vida- Coldplay

Sherlock POV:

"So the number is an American number, as you can see," Inspector Lestrade observed, "and is from Utah, America. Salt Lake City, Utah."

I nodded my head, as we all crammed around Inspector's desk, Watson and I, to get a look at the analysis.

The door opened.

"Her name is Greta Levine," we looked up to see Anderson at the doorway, "Female obviously."

"Yes yes," I walked towards the door of Inspector's door. "Thank you for your input." I said, shutting the door in his face. "Not that we can't already read that."

I could hear Anderson grumble from the other side of the door. "Ugh. Again!?"

Everyone just ignored him like usual.

"So she's American, and female? What does that do for us?" Watson piped in. I sighed,

"Watson, sometimes you can be so...human!" I exclaimed. He gave me a look.

"That's because I am-"

"Have you ran through the name Greta Levine? A license, picture, anything?" I asked Lestrade.

"That you'll have to do by yourself." He points at me accusingly. "I've already done what I legally can and then some, so I suggest you take what I can give you and work your Sherlock Holmes magic."

"Well, where am I supposed to get equipment to find that sort of stuff!?" I cried, in annoyance.

Watson perked his head up.

"Sherlock! The Internet!" He shrugged his shoulders. I smiled at him.

"There are days, John, when I swear you are completely hopeless, and then you turn and say something like that and I am reminded why you are my friend!"

"Colleague."

"Right, whatever! We got a woman to stalk Watson!" I went to go open the door, John behind me when Inspector spoke up.

"You know, technically, what you're doing is illegal." He raised an eyebrow. Watson gave me a look. "But I know," Lestrade sighed, " You never ask me for much so I can only agree to keep it a secret."

I nodded a thank you and opened the door.

"But if you get caught, blame it on Anderson." He pointed a finger at me. I smirked.

"That was the intentions, Inspector. You doubt me too much." I tilted my head to the side and walked out the door. Watson bid a silent goodbye before following after me.

"You don't wait for me to eat my food, or say goodbye. What's up with you rushing around everywhere? There's no deadline!" He shouted behind me. I never looked back to face him.

"Back on the food thing now, Watson? I thought you went over this already?"

"Wait...you actually listened? I always thought it went in one ear and out the other!"

I scoffed.

"Of course I listened! I always listen to my friends, I'm not heartless!"

"Well..." He trailed, as I exited Scotland Yard.

"CAB!" A woman yelled as a yellow car zoomed right by her. We ignored her for a bit but when she tried again and got the same result, there was no ignoring.

"If you're not heartless, Sherlock, go up and help that young lady get a cab." He challenged.

"No! She's got her own problems!"

He gave me a scolding look as I sighed.

"Dear Lord, fine." I swished my coat and walked up to the failing cab-caller.

"May I?" I asked the lady. She scoffed, not looking up from the ground.

"Knock yourself out. They're especially rude today." She laughed. I smiled...kind of.

I held my hand out and snapped my fingers. A yellow cab pulled in front of the lady.

"Thank you so much!" She said smiling and looked up at me. "Sherlock?"

"Molly?" I tilted my head to the side.

"Wow." She chuckled, "I will forever remember this day as 'Sherlock Did Something Actually Decent' Day!"

"Get in your cab, Molly." I teased, smiling...still kind of. She blushed.

"Okay. See you at the lab, whenever you...stop by...or not...either way I'm- yeah okay bye."

"Bye." I was able to say before she slammed the car door in embarrassment. Walking back to Watson, I could see a smirk playing on his face.

"So you're not all the way heartless after all."

"I told you." I shrugged as another cab pulled in front of us. "It's the little things that matter.

John gave me a look.

"Sure, Sherlock."
