Chapter 11: Management
Months had passed, luckily Will hadn't shown up at all lately. It was the day before the wedding. Although I was definitely excited, I was also nervous. Grell had gone out to pick up my dress from the seamstress, Sebastian was having his bachelor party which was courtesy of Ciel, Undertaker, Bard and Finni, so I was left alone to take care of the final preparation tasks. Since there was no one else that could arrive soon enough to have everything ready, the servants had to help.
However, it had become a disaster. Mey-Rin broke the champagne glasses, Finni had cut the wrong flowers that were supposed to be used for decor and Bard absolutely torched the cake. By the afternoon I told them all not to worry about it and to go on with their evening plans.
I went out to the garden then picked and shaved all the roses for the wedding bouquets, unpacked and polished the spare glasses for the next day, and then went to the kitchen to measure out the ingredients for the cake. I groaned in frustration as I started to give up. Then, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Mind if I help sis?" It was Grell.
Yes please!" I said relieved. When I turned, I saw Ronald Knox standing behind Grell nervously. He smiled awkwardly twiddling his fingers as he looked at the ground.
"Uh heheh, well um...Grell said you might need some extra help, so I volunteered." He said with a wink. I smiled and with that we all started to work on preparing the wedding cake. I finished making the icing while the cake was baking in the oven. As I started taking out the piping bags, Grell swiped them out my hands.
"Hey! Why'd you do that?" I asked turning to her. She smiled holding them out of my reach.
"Because me and Ronald are perfectly capable of decorating the cake, and you, my dear sister, have a wedding tomorrow and you're the star of the show! You've done plenty of work today on getting everything else ready, now it's time that you started getting yourself ready by getting yourself cleaned up and getting a good nights worth of beauty sleep." She said raising her eyebrows. I sighed and nodded.
"Okay, fine. I guess you're right." I shrugged smiling.
"Of course I am, now March your little tail upstairs and go have some pleasant 'me time' so you're clean, pampered, well rested and ready for your wedding tomorrow little missy!" She scolded me playfully. She used to do this whenever she took care of me when I was little. I smiled at Grell and gave her a hug.
"Thank you Grell. I love you so much." I said. I heard Grell chuckle lightly as she hugged me back.
"I love you too (Y/N). I'll see you first thing in the morning, don't you dare be late!" She said. I nodded.
"Okay, I promise I won't. See you tomorrow. Thanks Ronald! Goodnight you guys." I said before turning and walking out the door.
{Time Skip brought to you by....fuck, idk what I should put here...}
I got into the warm bath, relaxing myself as best as I could. I closed my eyes and soaked in the rose scented water. My stress slowly began to melt away. The warmth of the water made my muscles all loosen up. After a little while, I opened my eyes and saw someone standing above me. It was Sebastian, smirking with his eyes flaring a little bit, fixed on me.
"Hey! its bad luck to be with me the night before the wedding." I teased. He chuckled
"I find it rather amusing that you are marrying a demon but what you're worried about is the notion of superstitious 'bad luck'." He said. I smiled at him.
"Sorry, you must've mistaken me for someone who cares if you're a demon or not." I replied. Sebastian smiled and bent down to my level. He then leaned in, lifted my chin, and kissed me. We kissed for what seemed like forever, till finally he broke the kiss.
"Farewell my love, until tomorrow." With that, he quickly kissed my forehead, and left. After which I finished bathing, then I got dried off, brushed and ready for bed. I fell asleep with a smile on my face. Tomorrow was going to be perfect.
