"Come on, Kana-chan. Go wear this! I'm positive it'll suit you! " Lawless said, handing her a black sleeveless dress that reach around her mid-thigh.

"It looks too flashy.. " She said.

"Its fine! You're gonna look amazing in this! " Lawless shoved the dress on her hand while lightly pushing her to the dressing room so that she could try it on.

But then she stopped when Licht appeared and shoved Lawless away. He grabbed the black dress and replaced it with something white instead.

"Black is the color of demons! As a fellow angel, you should wear something white! "Licht stated, sparkles appearing behind him as he waited expectantly for her to try the dress he picked.

Kana slowly inched towards the dressing room, a bit unsure.

"Ah.. Maybe I should try b-both? "

"No way! You should totally wear the one I picked, Kana-chan! It suits you better! "

"Shut up, demon! Angels should only wear pure white unlike you demons! "

Gil, in his whale mascot, waved his fins, signaling Kana to enter the dressing room already.

She nodded at him, discreetly disappearing out of view.

In the end, Kana wore a beautiful red dress with black and white beads decorating the short sleeves, a red ribbon tied at her neck while her jet-black hair was let down, draping behind her back.

Kana looked pretty doll-like in her attire. Both the Greed pair commented on how it suited her, almost forgetting the fact that she didn't picked any of their chosen dress.

Still, all is forgotten since Kana has already decided to wear the dress (which Gil picked but there was no way she was telling the two about that).

Surprisingly enough, on today's piano concert of Licht, the rest of the venue hall was reserved by the sponsor personnel (whoever that is because that person was totally loaded if he or she was able to reserve today's concert).

Kana wanted to watch the concert for today so she decided to seat at the front row along with Lawless.

Once the performance started, she felt the need to go to the ladies' room so she quickly excused herself.

It was shocking that Lawless didn't offer to accompany her because he's that fussy over Kana but she figured that he must really want to listen to the piano since today was the last day.

Afterall, Lawless has a thing for the arts.

She hurried to the ladies' room, Kana was only gone for about a few minutes but she had the sudden urge or feeling that something was wrong.

She immediately hurried to go
to the venue hall, nearly bumping into someone.

"Eep! " Kana squeaked, tumbling to the floor when an arm steadied her.

"S-Sorry! I wasn't looking ahead! " She immediately said.

"No! No! It's fine! Please straighten yourself up! "

"I'm sorry. " Kana repeated again, unsure of what she was supposed to do.

"No, don't be." A familiar voice said, making her pause.

Hold on, why does this conversation feels like it happened before?

"Erm.. " Kana turned to the person that was holding her, eyes widening in surprise.

"Mahiru? "

"Eh?! Kana? Are you here for the piano concert? " Mahiru asked, a bothered look on his face as if something was troubling him.

"Yes. I just came back from the ladies' room and I'm heading back inside now. " She explained briefly.

"Huh?! Then you need to show me where the venue is! We need to get there before something bad happens!"

"Why? "

"I'm sorry but there's no time to explain! Please help me! "

He sounded desperate which didn't settle well with Kana's intuition. She has her suspicions that something was going on inside the venue and it only makes sense due to Lawless' odd behavior so Kana directed him to where the Greed Pair was.

They both hurried to where the stage was, Mahiru tackled the door open in haste, Kana following from behind.

She wondered why Mahiru suddenly stopped but the Kitty (she just noticed that now) on his shoulder transformed into a human, shocking her completely.

She remembered something that Lawless told her.

| "Kana-chan, I'm a nezumi(mouse) so its only natural for me to hate cats! Besides, Big Brother Sloth is a cat too."|

'Eh?!' She thought .

"Bravo! Bravo! " A familiar voice applauded.

As Kana entered to see what made Mahiru stop, a gasp escaped her lips when she saw the bloody corpses of people littering the floor.

There was blood everywhere and she couldn't imagine what happened to cause this.

She placed a hand over her mouth, trying not to vomit at the sight as a look of sheer horror crossed her face.

A memory from her past as a human, resurfacing due to this.

| "Listen Adora Shay, my kawaii musume(cute little daughter). " Her mother said sweetly, a smile that was almost too real to be true was displayed on her serene face.

"You need to be able to control and discipline yourself. You must only listen to me and Papa because... " She started stroking her hair in a gentle manner. "Everything you do and everything you say will reflect badly on me, one way or another. Even your breathing. That's why.. "

Pale hands suddenly tugged her hair roughly. "...you need to listen to me so that my reputation isn't affected. Or else, there will be.. " She leaned to her ear. "..consequences."

Her mother finally leaned away, smiling at her. "Got it, Adora? My kawaii musume (cute little daughter)..."|

Kana blinked.

"Huh? You're late, brother. The first song just finished. " Lawless said, still clapping.

Kana wasn't sure if it was because of his handiwork or Licht's piano performance but frankly, she felt sick either way.

"Ah! " Lawless turned to face their direction. "Kana-chan's here too! " He burst out laughing. "Gomen! Gomen! Kana-chan isn't supposed to see that."

Kana's eyes widened. "L-Lawless..? " She carefully inquired, hurrying to him with urgency.

"Kana, you know him? " Mahiru asked but she ignored him in favor of her Servamp master.

Kana grabbed ahold of Lawless' arm.

"W-Why.... I mean. Why are these people dead? What happened? " Lawless softly patted her head.

*pat* *pat*

"Kana-chan, you don't have to worry about them anymore. They were after me anyway so I had to get rid of them!" He sounded happy and excited.

| I had to kill them since they were in the way. |

"You should go find Krantz, I don't want Nii-san anywhere near you. " A hand lightly shoved her to the exit.

| I don't want you to be here. |

"Besides, I know that you're not used to seeing something so horrid like this." Red eyes glinted at her.

| You're too weak to stand against anything for that matter.|

Kana stared at him, immobile and completely indifferent from everything he said.

| "Everything you do and everything you say will reflect badly on me, one way or another. Even your breathing. That's why.. " |

Lawless tilted his head at her. "Eh? Kana-chan, are you listening to me? "

| Pale hands suddenly tugged her hair roughly. "...you need to listen to me so that my reputation isn't affected. Or else, there will be...consequences." |

"......."

Five seconds. A lot of things happened within five seconds of the time that she stood there, frozen in her place.

In five seconds, she felt her dead heart aching and breaking.

Five seconds felt like a lifetime but it took less than five seconds to shatter her heart into a thousand, broken pieces.

Five seconds were too long.

But to her Servamp master, five seconds was nothing.

Five seconds doesn't mean anything.

In those five seconds, he was completely oblivious to the wave of sadness and grief invading her, spreading like an incurable disease.

A disease that was soon going to destroy her.

And finally, those five seconds passed.

"Kana-chan? Is something wrong? Did you get what I said? " He asked.

Kana clenched her fists unconsciously.
