"Licht, please don't fight with Lawless anymore." Kana said, placing an arm on the pianist's shoulder as she reluctantly parted with her book just to stop another fight from happening.

"Kana-chan, tell Lich-tan to apologize! He was the one who started it!"

Licht, who did not like being ordered, directed a glare at the Servamp of Greed. "What did you say, shit rat?"

"See, Kana-chan? He's being mean to me!"

"Please stop." Kana said calmly as she tried not to feel frustrated at their childish behaviour.

"Stop calling her so familiarly, you demon! I won't let you taint her!" Licht gritted out as he raised his boot but Kana interjected by inviting him to eat the melons she recently ordered.

She was not surprised to see that her brother ignored Lawless' whining in favor of eating melons.

"Geez, Lichtan! Just how much do you like melons?!"

"Kana-chan! Kana-chan!" Lawless chirped happily as he bounced around her. "Let's go sakura viewing today! It's so boring in here and Lich-tan is no fun!" He said, pointing to the pianist who was reading a magazine about animals.

"Sakura viewing..? But I don't want to go out. I'm reading. "

"That's boooring~! Let's go outside! We can even go and have a picnic right now!"

Kana boredly stared at him before returning her gaze to her book. That was the plan but...

Lawless decides to snatch her book and before she knew it, she was being dragged outside the door. Her brother, who disliked Lawless a lot, disliked the Servamp even more for 'attempting to bewitch Kana'.

"Where do you think you're taking her, kuzunezumi?!"

"Gah! That hurts, Lich-tan!"

"Licht, no violence please."

"I don't want you to go with a demon." Licht bluntly said as he lowered his leg. Kana frowned.

"You can come with us--"

"What!! No fair! I only want to go with Kana-chan! Not Lich-tan!" Lawless whined loudly.

"I don't want to go with you either!" Licht loudly retorted back.

Kana sighed. "Licht, since this is sakura viewing. I'm pretty sure a lot of pigeons would be there."

"P-Pigeons..!?" Licht looked completely shock as he stared at her.

"It's a Japanese culture! And even someone like Lich-tan who hates crowds will enjoy himself! Though I honestly prefer to leave you here since I'm going with Kana-chan."

"Pigeons... An angel like me can go play with Mr. Pigeon." Licht said.

Kana spoke. "You can play with them as long as you bring feeds." She smiled at him lightly before outstretching her hand.

"It would be nice." She finished as Licht didn't hesitate to take her hand as he cleared his throat.

"Then I'll take your offer."

"Of course, Licht." Kana replied, still smiling.

"Huh?! You're inviting him, Kana-chan?!" She nodded.

"Noooo!! I just want to go with Kana-chan!! This was supposed to be a date!"

"It can still be a friendly date between friends, Lawless." She assured him but he wouldn't here the end of it.

"I only want Kana-chan!!!"

"Lawless, why do you hate your brother so much?"

Lawless, who was so enthusiastic about the play he was watching, suddenly turned deathly quiet.

Kana turned to him.

"You don't need to answer if it's personal. I'm not forcing you--"

"I hate Big brother sloth so much." He murmured darkly as he hung his head low.

Kana and Lawless were sitting on the couch watching TV while Licht was fast asleep in his bedroom.

"Oh. Why is that?" She saw a dangerous gleam on his eyes and his red hues suddenly looked even redder than before.

"Because..."

So Lawless told her, of Ophelia and their creator and how he killed his Eves whenever he gets bored. Kana doesn't react but merely listens.

Kana doesn't like knowing the past but there are merits upon knowing the truth. She doesn't like it but she would bear the feeling.

After he is finished, Kana placed a hand on his left cheek.

"You've been through a lot. " Kana said. "But it's alright. It only means that you're strong enough to live even if it's painful."

She wasn't smiling but she wasn't frowning either. Kana looked like she was thinking deeply as he stared at Lawless. Her eyes seemed older as if Lawless was staring at an adult and not a 16-year old girl.

"I envy you. Both you and Licht."

"Why?"

Kana smiled, simple and unyielding as she cupped both of his cheeks. There is always something about Kana's simple gestures that would catch his attention.

"Because ..both of you have a purpose in life while I am nothing, an empty shell of what I used to be."

Lawless' eyes widened slightly. Kana doesn't often say things so metaphorically and symbolically which makes Lawless feel a little intrigued. This was a new side of Kana.

The meek and quiet little sister of his Eve.

"You are capable of emotion while I feel nothing and merely imitate others to compensate." She placed a hand above her chest.

"This heart does not feel anything. "

"I've never been to an amusement park before. "Kana said, looking over the contents of the flyer.

"Kana-chan, that's because you always lock yourself inside the house!" Lawless laughed, grinning at her as he bounced giddily in place.

"So are you coming with me or not?" He asked, excitement clear in his features as Kana tried not to get blinded by the shimmering sparkles behind him.

"I suppose.." She murmured to herself.

"Really?! Yey! Then Let's go right now!" He grabbed her wrist but Kana didn't budge in place. Lawless curiously stared at her.

Kana was quiet as she stared at him unblinking. After a few seconds, she finally spoke.

"Let's invite Licht."

Lawless cringed as he shook his head. "What?! Kana-chan..!"

"Is there a problem?" There are TONS of reasons why his Eve shouldn't go with them. How come Kana-chan is so dense?!

"Lich-tan would ruin the fun! I don't want to go with him! I only want Kana-chan. " He grumbled loudly as he folded his arms over his chest while rambling on and on about why they shouldn't bring her brother with them.

Kana doesn't say anything and she doesn't even acknowledge half of the things that Lawless said. She was too engrossed on the fact that Lawless was capable of procuring nonsensical things just to prevent Licht from going with them.

Kana knows why and she doesn't feel comfortable knowing.

Afterall, this is HER brother they're talking about and Lawless is THE Servamp of Greed. Despite how childish he looks, he is afterall, A VAMPIRE.

"Do you finally get it now, Kana-chan?!" Lawless asked and he seems to be trying to catch his breath as though he went on a long run.

Kana tilted her head. "Huh?"

Lawless made an exasperated sigh. "Don't tell me you weren't listening?!" He accused as he pointed his index finger at her.

Kana smiled faintly. "Yes. But it doesn't matter. Licht is going with us. He's never been to an amusement park either."

Lawless narrowed his eyes, suddenly finding a pattern over her constant refusal to go alone with him.

"I thought you said we're going to eat. Where are the melons?" Licht asked, looking left and right apprehensively.

"Actually, we're here at the amusement park and there's a dolphin show. You don't want to. ..?" Kana said, holding his hand between her own.

"I'm going." The pianist agreed without question.

"But Kana-chan!! You promised to ride the ferris wheel with me!" Lawless whined, hugging her from behind. Licht, irritated to see Lawless, glared fiercely at him.

"Screw you, shit rat. We're watching the dolphin show." He yanks Kana away from the blonde and they marched together towards their destination with a determined look on their faces.

"Wait for me!!"

It really isn't a surprise that Licht is looking at the Mr. Fishes with an amazed look on his face as Kana passively reads the description on the aquarium tank.

"A sea anemone. A Clown fish. A Starfish. An Angelfish. And even a Puffer Fish." She boredly stated while looking at them.

Licht whipped his head towards her.

"W-Wha...What did you say?"

"Huh?" Kana looked back, noticing the amazed look on his face.

"Oh, you mean the fishes? Do you want to know more about the Angelfish?" Licht excitedly nodded his head while Kana smiled, reciting everything she knew while pointing at a certain fish in the tank.

Lawless pouted, not liking the way Kana was excitedly rambling about some stupid fish.

He was always suspicious of Kana whenever his Eve got involved. There is always something different to the way Kana interacted with Licht and to the way Kana interacted with him and Krantz.

Lawless isn't dumb. He knew that look. That look of adoration in her eyes and that lovesick look she holds at the simplest thing that his Eve does.

Lawless doesn't understand why Kana feels this way towards her own brother but he would have to confront her about it. It finally makes sense. All the times that Kana has refused him in favor of her brother.

Kana likes Licht.
