I mean come on! Who doesn't not like a bit of blood and grime every so often! The will of girl power and the flow of the story's words come to life. Back in the day, (Inserts my mother and grandmother because it is their saying :) girls were used as nothing more than a handmaiden to a princess! A baby machine and slave for another man. Well, Red didn't want that (Duuuh)  and at the age of freaking 9! She knew that that wasn't fro her! Amazing! The best thing since sliced bread I believe ;P
