It's passed midnight, and Jaemin, Hyuck, and I are the only ones awake.

Hyuck is sitting in the kitchen playing with one of my toys, since he's already gone through his switch, and Jaemin and I were watching movies on the couch.

But after a while, Hyuck finally came over and sat next to me, resting his head on my shoulder.

"Everything alright Hyuck??"

I asked, and he nodded.

"..Thirsty..."

"Oh~. Do you want a water?"

He shook his head.

I should've guessed that he would. He's not really fond of plain water when he's like this.

"Do you want a Nectar pouch?"

Jaemin asked, but he shook his head again.

He looked like he wanted to tell us what he wanted, so we waited for him to finally get the word out.

When he switches around this time of night, his brain slows down to a zombie's pace. So when he's like this, he's a bit slow to do things and he can only respond with one word at a time.

Because of this, we mainly try to ask him yes or no questions, or just things that only require one word to answer. That way, he doesn't get stressed out while in this state and he stays calm and happy.

"...Lemonade..~"

He finally answered with a small smile.

We both know that we don't have any lemonade made, so this raises a bit of an issue.

"Ok. Do you want it store bought or homemade?"

It took him a bit to think about it, but he responded by pointing at us.

We should've known. He really likes it when we make things for him ourselves rather than buying it from the store.

"Follow us to the kitchen then~"

We guided him back to the kitchen and sat him down so he could watch us make it.

We decided on making lemonade from a naturally flavored powdered mix. We know for a fact that this mix makes the lemonade taste a whole lot sweeter, and it's easy to make in no time at all.

While we gathered what we needed, Hyuck was paying very close attention to us, admiring our every move and teamwork.

But he seemed a bit confused when we got the large pitcher out, along with three glasses.

"...T-Three..?"

He curiously questioned, and we nodded.

"The pitcher is here because Renjun-hyung and Mark-hyung might want some later as well"

"And we want to enjoy some lemonade with you~"

Jaemin added, which made Hyuck's smile grow.

It didn't take us long at all to complete the task, and we presented Hyuck with his lemonade.

But before Hyuck took a sip, he just stared at his glass while gently holding onto it.

"You alright Hyuck??"

"Yeah, what's the matter??"

We both become concerned for him as he silently sat in between us.

"..Thank...y-you....~"

It took him a second to say it, but this is the first time he's been able to respond with more than one word!

And right after he said it, he finally started drinking his lemonade with a small smile~. We sat with him and kept him company, finding little ways to make him smile or laugh.

And shortly after we finished our drinks, he eventually entered his dormant state. Right after noticing this, Jaemin took our glasses and washed them while I carefully picked him up and carried him to the couch.

Jaemin finished washing the dishes as quick as he usually does, and sat on the couch for me to rest Hyuck's upper half in his lap. After making sure they were comfortable, I sat down and rested his lower half in my lap.

While he rested in our laps, we continued watching the movie we left on, until we eventually started dozing off together, in each other's company.
