"Hey. Mark. Hey. Wake up man"

I poked Mark a few times to wake him up, finding him sitting on the floor with a book in his hand.

He seemed alarmed once he did wake up, but he calmed down once he saw me.

"Oh hey... What's up man..?"

He asked, rubbing his eyes.

I helped him stand up and handed him a packed bento lunch before explaining.

"Dude, you forgot your lunch at home, so Renjun came and dropped it off. I was trying to find you to find out if you wanted to have lunch with me"

"Oh yeah.. I'll eat with you hyung"

He smiled, following me to find somewhere to sit after I put the book away.

I led him to a nearby table and not even a few minutes after we started eating, Mark started dozing off again.

"Mark.. Why are you so tired? And I mean why are you more tired than usual?"

"...We met some new friends last night. We all had a lot of fun together"

"Did you drink while you all hung out...?"

"We had some soju, but that it wasn't that strong.."

"...I'll take you home after we finish our lunch break"

"I'm fine hyung, I promise. I might be tired and have a bit of a headache, but it'll go away"

"Don't worry about that. I'll have a talk with Nakamoto-san. He likes you a lot anyway, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you take the day off considering what a hard worker you are. And besides, it's not fun working when you're hungover"

"...Fine. I do wanna finish the rest of my nap.."

It took Mark a bit longer than me to finish eating, but he clocked out after he finished and I left the library with him to walk him home.

"I...feel kinda left out.."

Mark suddenly spoke up once we stopped at a crosswalk.

"Left out of what??"

"My friends are all something so cool and interesting, while I'm the only human among them. I wanna be cool too..."

He pouted.

I'm a bit confused as to what he's going on about. It seems that he's still a bit messed up from last night. He tends to spout nonsense when he's drunk.

Wait. That's right. Halloween is coming up. He must be talking about what they're gonna be for Halloween.

"Don't worry Mark. There's still a couple weeks for you to decide what you're gonna be. If you want my opinion, I recommend that you should be Spider-Man"

"..."

"But there's nothing wrong with just being human, and if you want, I'll gladly be human with you"

"...Thank you hyung"

He thanked me, clinging to my arm.

He was silent the rest of the way, but I know he's tired so it's fine. I couldn't help but smile at how he clung to me the rest of the way.

He's like a little brother that looks up to me for security, and I find it delightful.
