"Oh, where are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wong Yukhei. I'm Chenle's and Jisung's trusted caregiver. But I know you're all more concerned as to what just happened. If you'd all like to sit back down for a sec, I'll be happy to explain everything"

The man explained.

None of us wasted any time, and immediately sat down after making sure Renjun was alright.

"Now, I'm sure the main thing you all want to know is what a clairvoyant is. You see, clairvoyants are a special race of people that are able to perceive future events, mostly in their dreams. As an example, my clairvoyance is exactly how I met Chenle and Jisung"

"I'll get everyone some drinks while hyung tells his story"

Jisung volunteered, timidly running off to the kitchen.

"When I was younger, my parents were very abusive and tried to make me hide my abilities, but when I finally came of age, I moved away to this city. Not long after I moved here, I started having dreams. One dream involved red eyes in the midst of the darkness, while the other involved a wolf in the middle of a misty plain. Soon after having those dreams, I met Chenle one night by finding him staring through one of my glass doors, with the same red eyes I saw in my dream. Not long after that, I met Jisung on a foggy afternoon while he was in his wolf form. That day, he was very hungry and looking for food, so I decided to help him. I ended up taking them both in, and even though they were made to be enemies, they became the best of friends in no time"

By the time Yukhei finished his story, Jisung had brought us all glasses with ice in them and filled them with some water.

"...My parents died a long time ago when I was still a kid. I used to have dreams about their deaths, and I would always have those dreams until I found that it was Jaemin and Jeno who killed them"

"Then after he ran away from them and came to live with me, he had a dream about Jeno and Jaemin that revealed why they attacked his parents. In the end, it was all an unfortunate accident. Renjun and his parents were the only living things around the night they were killed. Jeno and Jaemin were both still kids that were just turned and abandoned by their families. Nothing was around for them to eat, and in the end, Renjun was also left without a family. But once Renjun had that dream, he realized that they weren't to blame and he returned to them. Now we all live happily together"

I added on to Renjun's explanation.

"And recently I had a dream about something black hidden in something resembling a pumpkin patch, and then I found Donghyuck hidden in the pumpkin patch on our porch in his cat form"

Renjun explained further, giving another example.

"I see. All of those dreams are indeed special dreams that only clairvoyants can have. Our kind has those dreams to help us perceive future events. Some are good, some are bad, and some are just to help guide us through life and alert us of what's coming"

Yukhei smiled, finding confirmation that he and Renjun were indeed one and the same.

"Wait, this guy is really just like you hyung?? But you told us you believed that the majority of them were gone!"

Chenle exclaimed, seeming to be more shocked than the rest of us.

"Really?? Why is that?"

Renjun asked, bringing a frown to Yukhei's face.

"Chenle, Jisung. Can you two take your new friends up to your room for a moment?"

He suddenly asked them.

He must not want them to hear what he's going to tell us.

"...Sure"

Chenle hesitantly got up, and they silently led Jeno, Jaemin, and Donghyuck up to their room.

After making sure that they were gone, Yukhei finally spoke up.

"So, would you two like to explain as to why you're harboring a zompire in your home? I have nothing against Donghyuck specifically per se. I would just like to know why"

"Well... Donghyuck is a lot different from other zompires, and despite his instincts, he refused to harm us. He lives with us now and gets the same shelter and treatment that Jeno and Jaemin do"

"And...he looked so scared when his mind started shifting. And besides, he's been through enough pain already, especially when it comes to losing his family"

Renjun added to my explanation.

"I see.. I can respect your decision in that case. The reason I asked is because clairvoyants and zompires have always been at war with each other. Even though they attack and turn regular humans too, they try to go after clairvoyants the most. They try to do one of two things: either kill us to lessen our numbers, or turn us to add our power to their side"

"Now that you mention that, I was attacked by one a year ago and it nearly turned me, but Jaemin saved me by sucking out the infection and Jeno killed it himself. And when it attacked me, it isolated itself with me by kidnapping me, but Jeno and Jaemin came after me and saved me"

"Something similar to that happened to me, but Chenle got to me in time for the zompire to bite his arm instead of my neck. Jisung killed it all on his own, and Chenle was fine since the infection doesn't affect vampires. In fact, Chenle still has the scars on his arm from the puncture wounds, just like the ones on your neck, but he doesn't mind them at all"

Yukhei smiled towards the end of his explanation.

"Speaking of them, what are Chenle and Jisung like? Jeno and Jaemin seem to be very uncomfortable around them"

I asked.

"Let's see... Chenle is tough as nails and doesn't really know how to express himself, and Jisung is considerably quiet at times and isn't that good at expressing himself either. On top of that, Chenle has no problem with blood and gore and things of that sort, while Jisung can't stand it at all despite him killing that zompire. But even though this is true, they somehow took a liking to each other fairly quickly despite their differences, and became really good friends"

"I see.."

"Almost like Jeno and Jaemin.."

Our families really are quite similar.

One vampire, one werewolf, and one clairvoyant each. We both have similar parts to our stories, and we all ended up gathering here tonight.

Renjun and I get along fine with Yukhei so far. I just hope that Jeno, Jaemin, and Donghyuck will at least try to get along with Chenle and Jisung if they can't be friends.
