As step one for me to make up for scaring Donghyuck, I offered to chill out in our indoor pool with him while the others are occupied.

Mark and Renjun went out to go buy a new door, and Jaemin is sleeping in his cat form in one of the pool chairs while Donghyuck and I are in the pool.

"Did you have fun watching the show Hyuck?"

"I did~. I've always enjoyed watching the show, but I never had anyone my age to watch it with. Now that I've met you and the others, watching the new season is greater than I imagined~"

"I see. I'm glad to hear that. Did you have a good nap after watching the first few episodes?"

"It was actually the best nap I've had in a while. I haven't felt so peaceful in such a long time"

"Right. Listen...I'm really sorry about earlier. I know you were really scared, especially when I ripped the door out of the hinges. I really feel bad for doing that to you..."

"Hey, don't worry about it hyung. I don't blame you at all for how you acted. But at least now I know that you guys care"

He smiled.

"...I still feel bad about it, but I'm happy to welcome you into our family either way Hyuck"

"Thanks a lot hyung. I'm happy to be here with all of you~"

"I'm glad you are~. I'm gonna go get a drink really quick. Do you want anything?"

"I'll just take some ice cubes. I've always liked chewing on them"

"Righto. I'll be right back"

I dried off a bit after stepping out the water, and put a towel on my head before heading to the kitchen.

Once I got to the fridge, I got a juice pouch for Jaemin and myself and then got a cup for Hyuck's ice. But while I was getting the ice, I suddenly smelled a scent that I haven't smelled in a long time.

It didn't alarm me that much, but even though I'm still calm, I could feel my eyes glowing out of pure instinct.

I calmly looked out the window, trying to find what or who the smell was coming from.

Not long after I looked out, I saw a boy walking across the street wearing a bucket hat.

The boy didn't stop walking, but he eventually looked me right in the eyes. But his eyes were glowing like mine, even though his were a light hazel color.

He's got to be the origin of that scent...

We kept eye contact with each other until he eventually disappeared out of my view. And I realized that the ice was overflowing of out the cup when I suddenly felt something cold touch my hand.

I put the ice that overflowed into some plants for them to melt in, and quickly returned to Hyuck with the rest.

"Are you alright hyung? Your eyes are glowing like they were last night"

Hyuck asked after I handed him his cup of ice.

After I rested Jaemin's juice next to him, I opened mine and drank some before responding.

"...I think I just saw another werewolf"
