Halloween Night

Even though there are still plenty of repairs to be done in town, everyone decided to put that on hold to not only prepare a party for Halloween, but also a celebration for us as the town's new protectors.

But this time around, everyone knows and accepts our secret lives~.

I told the others my plan once we all got up, and they seemed to like my idea. I planned for us to dress up as anything we wanted to attend the party, to show that we can have fun just like normal people. Even Taeyong agreed to join in the fun~.

He dressed up as Edward Cullen, but added a twist with his demon horns and marks.

Jeno and Jaemin partnered up and dressed up as Triangle and Square Masked Men from Squid Game.

Chenle dressed up as The Nun.

Jisung dressed up as Son Heung Min.

Donghyuck dressed up as a vampire.

I dressed up as Pinocchio.

Mark took Johnny's advice and dressed up as Spider-Man.

Johnny dressed up as the Coca Cola Polar Bear.

And Yukhei dressed up as Harry Potter.

Luckily, we all got plenty of rest in during the day, and now that it's evening, we're all good to go. Taeyong met up with us at our place, and we're getting ready to head out shortly.

"Renjun-hyung...? Are you sure it'll be safe? This is the first time I'm going to a Halloween party as an actual monster.."

Donghyuck tugged on my overalls with a nervous look on his face.

"Hey, it'll be alright Hyuck. This'll be the first time for Taeyong-hyung, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung too. You're not going to be alone in this. We'll protect you, so don't worry~"

I smiled, carefully fixing his hair.

"Trust us Hyuck, we'll be fine as long as we're all together"

"Hyung is right. And besides, the townspeople seem to like us now. I wouldn't worry too much"

Jeno and Jaemin reassured him.

"Tonight's gonna be so much fun~"

"Just don't get too carried away once we go trick-or-treating Jisung..."

Chenle sighed, knowing how Jisung gets when he's had too much sugar.

After making sure everyone had their buckets prepared, we left to find where the party was being held.

Thankfully, it didn't take us long to find the party.

It was being held in one of the largest parks in town, which is convenient for such a big celebration. There were so many people here and so many cool costumes!

We even saw Johnny's and Mark's boss dressed up as Kenshin Himura!

"The decorations are really amazing. They really went all out with this party"

Mark admired every detail of the party's layout, especially the lights that projected onto the ground.

Once everyone noticed us, all of the people immediately applauded us, and thanked us for helping them and saving their town. They even apologized for misunderstanding us, and gifted us with appreciation gifts and even Halloween themed flower crowns.

After placing the crowns on our heads, they informed us that for our hard work protecting the town, we can enjoy all of the festivities free of charge every Halloween~.

"They sure do know how to show appreciation. The flowers aren't poisonous either. They really do like us now~"

Yukhei smiled, adjusting his flower crown.

"What do you say guys? You ready to have the time of our lives~?"

"I know I am~. Let's ride that Ferris Wheel first~!"

Taeyong was the first to answer Johnny's question by skipping off ahead of us.

Following his lead, we all went around to enjoy the festivities of the party. But for the first time, we all get to be ourselves, for this night, and for the rest of our lives.

I don't know about the others, but I want the ten of us to stick together for a long time. They've all not only become my friends, but they've also become my family and have changed me for the better.

I want to stay by their side, and enjoy these great days together.
