The sun finally came up after what seemed like forever.

My family is safely sleeping inside the convenience store, while the four of us are outside. We chose to stay out to keep an eye out for danger, but everything was completely fine once we got here hours ago.

I found myself staring up at the trees in front of us, admiring the light that shined down on us.

But after switching back to my completely normal mindset, I felt a sudden shiver go down my spine.

"What's wrong Hyuck?"

Taeyong asked, having seen when I shivered.

"I don't know... The air around me just feels lighter all in a sudden.. It's felt heavy for a while, but not it's not..."

"Then...that means Yukhei and Renjun must've killed the zompires' leader!"

"Wait, really?!"

"Hyuck, do you feel anything else???"

Mark asked as he and Johnny both examined me.

".....I don't"

"Woohoo~! The spell really worked~! Hyuck is still alive even though the zompires are gone now~!"

Taeyong cheered and jumped for joy.

Just seconds after realizing this, Jeno's and Jaemin's groups were the first to return.

"No way...~"

"Hyung~!"

"Donghyuck-hyung~!"

"You made it~!"

When the four of them saw that I was still alive, they immediately ran up to me and smothered me with hugs and love.

And just a minute after, Renjun and Yukhei returned too, but they came running back instead of walking.

"Hyuck~! You're all alive~!"

"So we all made it, even Donghyuck made it with a twenty percent success rate~. Simply wonderful~"

Renjun hugged me first, and Yukhei hugged both of us and swung us around excitedly.

"We we're so worried about you Hyuck..."

"I told you to have faith in us.."

Jeno and Jaemin expressed how worried they were about me, pleased that I didn't disappear.

"I owe it all to Taeyong-hyung for helping me stay alive~. I even reunited with my family again~. They're sleeping inside the shop now~"

"I got to reunite with my family too~"

"So did I~. But...does that mean you're going to live with them from now on..?"

"Nope~. I'm going to continue
staying with you guys~. I already talked it over with my family, and they agreed that I should stay with you as well~"

"Really?? But won't they miss you?"

Renjun asked.

"It's alright~. I'll visit them often, but I would rather stay with all of you as my new family in this second chance of life I have~"

Everyone looked very happy to hear that I was staying.

There's no denying it now. I truly feel at home when I'm with them.

But in the midst of our celebration, a crowd of people suddenly showed up and approached us. I became scared of what they were going to do, and hid behind Renjun.

But the people actually showed us their gratitude instead of hatred like we were expecting. Some even brought us flowers!

I guess Jeno's and Jaemin's families must've had some part in this. Even if some of the townspeople saw us take care of the threat, they must've made sure that no one would attack us out of a misunderstanding.

They also seemed pretty excited to get to know us more because we saved them. And they even took it upon themselves to escort us home like a little parade, while Taeyong stayed at the shop with my family.

Once we were all inside and the people returned home, Renjun came up with an idea.

He didn't specify what it was, but he said he would after we all took some time to sleep. It must be something big though, since it's Halloween and all~.
