After Renjun and Jeno left with Yukhei and Jisung, Mark went to sleep on the couch, while Hyuck and I watched Squid Game together.

But before the first game started, I noticed how uncomfortable Hyuck suddenly looked.

"Hey Hyuck? Are you feeling alright?"

"Y-Yeah, but... I don't know what it is, but something suddenly feels off around here.."

There's no way he could be feeling what I think he's feeling..

Before I could make anymore assumptions, someone suddenly knocked on the door, so I cautiously went to answer it. But the moment I opened the door, the person knocking suddenly tackled me to the ground.

The door also slammed shut behind us even though no one was near it. I tussled with the person until I finally realized that the person is another zompire!

I was right to suspect that this was the reason Hyuck looked so uncomfortable! This is his first time feeling like this, but he was feeling the presence of another zompire close by!

"J-Jaemin"

Donghyuck suddenly called my name, but he sounded scared.

When I looked at him I noticed that his eyes were suddenly glowing, just like they were that night! That zompire has to be trying to control him!

This is all gonna go to shit if this continues!

"Donghyuck! Lock yourself in the bathroom now!"

Mark suddenly ordered him, and Hyuck immediately obeyed.

That was smart thinking on Mark's part. Hyuck is able to control himself much better when he's in there. Now we don't have to worry about him getting hurt either.

I continued to fight against the zompire, but the more I fought, the more I eventually began struggle against it. 

Not only that, but the more I fought it, the  angrier I became, and the more my bloodlust began to grow more than it ever has before. But I'm also scared for Mark's and Donghyuck's overall safety, and what might happen if I don't take this thing down.

Mark suddenly tried to jump in and help me by abruptly attacking it, but it grabbed him in the blink of an eye and impaled him with its sharp nails and threw him against the wall.

"Mark-hyung! Are you ok?! Mark-hyung!! Answer me please!!"

I tried getting a response out of him, but everything happened so fast that I didn't realize that he was unconscious now.

Seeing Mark lay against the wall unresponsive like that was enough to make my anger and bloodlust skyrocket even more than before.

But out of nowhere, Chenle suddenly burst through our window, took one of the glass shards and stabbed the zompire in the head with it.

"..Chenle!"

"Lay another finger on my friends, and I will kill you"

He frowned, staring down at the stunned zompire.

I immediately noticed how high Chenle's bloodlust was just by the look in his eyes alone. I've never seen him this angry, not even when I came across him in the past.

"Hyung, I'm sorry for butting in like this. I didn't want to hurt your pride, but I had to do something"

"...You..actually came~"

I smiled out of relief, but he looked confused.

"Were you hoping that I would show up..?? Why?"

"I was refraining from asking for help so I wouldn't annoy you, but you actually came..~. I'm so happy to see you~"

"Annoy me...? But.."

We both heard a door open nearby, and saw Hyuck peaking into the room.

I used my hands to motion for him to go back in, seeing the zompire slowly trying to pull itself together, and he quickly obeyed.

"Chenle, we should take this fight into the woods. I don't want Hyuck to get hurt, and I don't want Mark-hyung to get anymore hurt than he already is"

"...Right. Meet me in the woods"

He suddenly grabbed the zompire and took it with him out of our back door while it was still stunned.

"Hyung, you can come out now"

Upon hearing that, he immediately came out of the bathroom and came over to me.

"Listen to me hyung. I need you to take care of Mark-hyung for me since you haven't gone through your switch yet. I just need you to patch up his wounds and call the others to tell them what's going on"

After I finished explaining that to him, I removed Mark's shirt and sucked out the little infection that was transferred into him.

"But...will you and Chenle be alright..?"

He asked as he came closer to us.

I stood up after I was done, and hugged him so that he wouldn't worry as much.

"We'll be fine Hyuck. I'm trusting you to take care of Mark-hyung until the others come back. Don't worry too much alright~?"

I smiled to reassure him.

"...Ok. I'll do my best..~"

"Good~"

I walked to the back door, but I was hesitant to leave them.

But I can't leave Chenle alone with that monster. I smiled at Hyuck as I left but once I made it outside after closing the door, my smile faded as I ran off to join Chenle.
