Sodapop?
I walk up to my apartment sighing loudly as I stick the key into the hole, not knowing if it's gonna be the drunk Soda I'm scared of or the loving Soda I know. My body is covered in make-up. I push open the door to see beer bottles all over the floor, "Sodapop?" I continue to walk into the house until I see a passed out drunk Sodapop. I fall to my knees as I sob next to next.
"Don't cry baby," I hear Soda mumble.
"Look what I did to you," I say my voice shaking through my tears.
He sits up putting his arm around me, "no, you got it wrong...look what I did to you." He wipes some of the make-up off my face showing my bruised face.
"How much have you been drinking?" I ask.
"Too much."
"Soda, I think we need to take a break for a little bit. I think we need to clear our heads for a few weeks then regroup."
"Is this becuase of my drinking? I'll stop right now for you. I love you Dylan, please. I'm so sorry. I'll-"
"Sodapop, this isn't about you. I think we just need some time. I'm also taking a small break from the gang. This is what I need."
"Why?"
"My dad just died Soda."
"Baby, I'm so sorry, I-I-I didn't know."
"Neither does Lexi."
"Sweetie pie..."
"Soda, just please."
"I love you."
"I love you too Sodapop with all my heart love and this is only a break, I'll be back in a few weeks and everything will be better. I promise love."
He smiles slightly, "I know princess. One last kiss?"
"Well I do need one," I smirk as he pulls me to the couch. I sit on his lap as we make-out. We skip him nibbling on my lip and I just open right up. I fight for dominance until I win exploring every inch of Soda's mouth. I swear we're not in our room, but we're back at the beach the day we fell in love. The fireworks exploding right now could light up all of America on the fourth of July. We pull away after a good amount of time. "Bye Sodapop, I love you my Pepsi-cola."
"Bye Dylan, I love you too my Dyl-pickle," he replies smiling at our foolish names.
I walk to the door placing my keys on the mat and pointing at my lips, "one for the road?" He smiles as he walks over pecking my lips. "Goodbye."
"Goodbye," he frowns as I close the door walking back to my house.
