I walk into my old school wearing a short light blue dress. I walk right past the greasers smiling slightly at Lexi. I love her so much and it hurts not talking to her, but it's for our best. Kendall was always the glue and now she's gone. I've broken apart from my past and I'm trying to start over, yet it haunts me. I grab my schedule and look down to see I have English first. 

I sit down in the class to see I have Johnny and Ponyboy in my class. I'm sitting next to Johnny and he keeps nervously glances over at me. I only now release, I look like a soc. I wait as she calls out names until she calls mine, "it seems we have a new student. Dylan Jueggers. What made you transfer here so late?"

"I'm here. Um, I tend to go where ever the wind takes me and it took me back to Tulsa," I explain with Johnny and Pony hanging on my every word.

"Well, I hope the wind keeps you here," she smiles as she continues.

Johnny leans over handing me a note as he whispers, "Ponyboy." I nod as I open it reading it, 'Dylan, You're back! How are you doing? Almost seventeen now. Huh? To think last time I saw you, you were almost sixteen. I'm fourteen now! Fourteen! A lot has happen since you left, but look at you! A lot has happen with you too! You look so good, so pretty. You are so tiny now. There's barely enough of you hug. You were never fat, but you were average like Lexi, but look at you now. You're like tiny. Why did you loose so much weight? Please talk to me after class. I want to see you, I miss you. The gang misses you.'

I write down one sentence on a piece of paper and that's all, 'does Sodapop miss me or has he already moved on and told his next victim he loves her?' 

'We'll talk later,' is all I got back. I shrug it off and wait for the bell to ring next I have sophomore math even though I'm a freshman, it's always been my strong suit. The bell rings and I walk over to Pony, "does he still love me? That's all I want from you."

"You don't want to be my friend, we were practically brother and sister a year ago! What happened the night of the party?" He asks.

"Soda cheated on me, once again," I inform him. "So, is he over me yet? Is he dating another girl already? He got over Sandy within a few months, when he was 'in love' with her. How long did it take him to get over me?"

He sighs loudly, "he's in a serious relationship with a girl names Amber. She's Steve's cousin, Lexi's best friend, a girl in the gang, and Soda's girlfriend. She helped him get over you. She got here a few days after you left and they started dating a month later so, he got over you in a month. He loves her a lot and he's happier than I've ever seen him."

"Thank you Ponyboy," I sigh as I give him a weak hug. "Goodbye."

"Bye, Dylan, I love you," he whispers.

"I love you too Pony," I now hug him even tighter. "I can drive you and Johnny home if you want, in my pink corvette, so you guys don't get jumped."

He looks over to me and smiles widely, "I'll see you after school."

I walk  into my math class and sit down in the back of the class no where near Lexi or Two-bit. Once again the teacher calls my name and I get a note from one of my old friends, but this time it was from Two-bit. 'Oh my god! Dylan! I miss you, we miss you. Has anybody told you about Amber Randle. I don't know if you know this or not, but it's Soda's girlfriend. Are you dating anybody? You look great Dylan. Are you gonna rejoin the gang or just coming for a visit or are you living here and not being a greaser? I hope you join us again because, I love you like a sister. Steve's dating a girl named Evie. We're doing okay, but it's not the same without ya Dyl. Please, come visit us one day. Please. -2-bit.'

'Hey Two-bit. I miss you too but, I don't miss everybody. I miss Lexi, Dally, Darry, you, and Pony. Pony told me about Amber, and I don't want to hear about it. Has he cheated on her yet? No, I'm not dating anybody. Thanks Two-bit, I've been working hard on my looks and weight and stuff like that. I'm gonna be living here for now, but I'm not a greasy girl anymore, I'm a surfer chick. This summer I'm packing up and going away for the summer then I'm gonna make amends with with my parents and at eighteen I'm going back to Jersey. I love you too Two-bit. I'm happy for Stevie. Is Evie a nice girl? I'm not visiting, but I'm driving Johnny and Pony home today after school, if you want to come.
-Dylan' I write him back. 

He writes back, 'Yea, I'll take the ride. Is Lexi coming too? I don't know if Soda has cheated on Amber. He wouldn't tell us anymore, before he would only tell Steve, but considering who Amber is he hasn't told anybody and we don't know anymore, but she's been dissed before and wouldn't take it. They'd be done faster they he can say please. Evie, is extremely nice, you'd like her. She sits with us at lunch, so does Amber. Are you gonna sit with us?'

'No, I'm not gonna sit with you guys. I don't think Lexi is coming, we got into a fight yesterday. I love her, but Kendall was the glue. What's she naming her kid? Is it a boy or girl? That sucks, I feel bad for Amber, it sucks getting cheated on. Is Amber nice?'

'It's a girl and she's being named, Kendall Jane Winston. Amber is nice.'

'We're gonna get caught, if we keep passing notes.'

'Yea, I'll talk to you later. See ya Dyl.'

'Bye Two.'

The rest of the day I go through my classes normally, Two-bit and I occasionally passing notes or Pony and I chatting in between classes. As the day comes to an end I walk down the hallway to get my books. "It's funny, you're slut of a sister who got pregnant last year and 'lost' the baby now you're, also a slut dating the biggest man whore out there. You'reis pregnant are you also gonna 'loose' the baby, it's happened once before," a dumb soc says to Lexi.

"Don't talk about my sister like that!" Lexi yells not even caring about herself.

"Well, she ran away afterwards, are you gonna too? Then again I heard she's back, but not talking to you," he rebuts.

"Just shut up, will ya? You're just a stupid, slutty, pregnant Grease" He yells.

I can't take it anymore, I walk over to the soc, slapping him across his face, "nobody talk to my sister like that!"

"Apparently nobody in her family talks to her, she got disowned by her parents, two of her sisters are dead and the other one is you and we all know you don't talk to her."

"You got that wrong, my friend, we're double trouble. Now leave."

"Whatever," he rolls his eyes as he walks away.

I help up Lexi, "you okay Lexi?"

"Good now," she smiles. "I was supposed to go over to the gangs house later, but I'll ditch if you wanna go out, just the two of us."

"I'd love to," I smile taking her hand. "Let's go meet Pone, Johnny, and Two-bit."

"How 'bout Evie or Amber?" She asks.

"No, they're not coming. I don't know them."

"Oh, is it because Amber is Soda's girlfriend and Evie is Steve's?"

"No! It's just I only have six seats and there's six of us."

"wait there's five of us and I know you know that because, you're in a higher math class than your grade."

"Whatever," I roll my eyes. "Lets just go."

"Lets."

We walk outside and meet some of the gang and drive them to the Curtis house. Lexi and I drive back to my place.
