"Sodapop," I say as I lay next to him on a beach far from Tulsa. "I love you so much."

"I love you too Dylan, I love you so so so much. I truly do," he sighs.

"What are we gonna do about Amber then?" I ask.

"She's leaving when school ends back to South Carolina," he says as he rolls over to face me. "I'll break up with her then."

"Until then, what are we?" I ask him. 

"Friends, best friends, that are in love with each other and know it, but one of them has a girlfriiend who he's gonna break up with in a few months," he informs me. "Then the guy in this friendship will ask the girl in the friendship out the second he dumps his girlfriend because he doesn't love her."

"So you cheated on me, but you can't cheat on her?" I ask now getting mad.

"I'm trying this new thing called being honest, so I'll never make the same mistakes again in a relationship because, I'm in love with this really great girl who hates cheaters. Her name is Dylan Rose Jueggers."

I smile at that and kiss his nose, "Soda, that's gonna be impossible."

"If it gets to hard, I'll break up with her."

"When are you gonna bring me home to meet the family?"

"Tomorrow night?"

"I love that idea, but you know what I love even more?"

"What?"

"Tonight," I laugh refering to our second first date at Pirate Pete's PIzza house.

"Okay," He chuckles.

I walk into the Curtis house and smile as I clutch Soda's soft hand, "hello my name is Dylan, Dylan Rose Jueggers."

"Hey Dyl," Lexi smiles now that we're cool.

"Dylan," Dally nods.

"Hey what's up Dyl?" Pony asks as Johnny nods.

"Dylan!" Stevie and Two-bit yell.

"I thought you're name was Samantha, but no you're my boyfriend's ex-girlfriend and you just walked into the house holding his hand after spending the day with him...alone," Amber fumes before she storms out of the house. 

"I'm Evie," a pretty girl with dark black wavy hair, and chocolate brown eyes smiles.

"Hi Evie, I'm Dylan," I smile as I sit down next to her. "The first girl in the gang. I'm also a greasy girl...again." The whole gang goes into cheers. "I'm also Lexi's sister, I have a history with Amber boyfriend, I have an interesting relationship with Steve, he's my bestie, Darry is like my big brother, Pony is like my little brother, I love Johnny so much, Dally is one of my closest most trustworthy friends plus he's Lexi's boyfriend, and Two-bit, who couldn't love Two-bit."

"Wow, why have I never met you before then?" She asks.

"I ran away when things got rough," I shrug. "I ran because, I was to weak."

"So my girl and my best girl, what are you two talkin' about?" Steve asks as he sits next to us on the floor.

"Nothing really," we both shrug.

"Okay," Steve says suspiciously.

"Goodbye," Evie says forcefully.

"Fine," he says with his hands in his air as he walks away making Evie and I laugh. This is the start of something beautiful.

"So Eve, we should hang out tomorrow, girls night. Me, you, Lex?" I ask her.

"Amber too?" She questions. "She and Lexi are best friends."

"Whatever," I sigh. "Who's your best friend?"

"I don't have one, Steve is," she sighs.

"Well, I say maybe after Amber and Lexi ditch, we can get ice cream."

"I was thinking maybe yes." 

"Perfect."
