Glade's POV:

As it starts getting dark, Dally and I secure ourselves in a tree. I feel safe with his strong arm wrapped around my shoulders, even though he's only doing that so I don't fall off. "I'll take the first watch. I'll wake you in a few hours." I say.

"Kay." He says As the anthem starts playing.

Apparently, the girl from district 5 died today. I only heard the cannon for the boy from district 1, so she must've died before I woke up. Dally said he killed her. I think she was 17 or 18.

And of course, the boy from district 1 shone in the sky as well.

When the anthem stops, Dally is asleep and it's my watch.
