Steve’s POV

I woke up the next day asleep in the kitchen with a jar of Peanut butter in my hands, I don’t remember anything from last night except the proposal and then after that everything is fuzzy. I went to get up but fell back down my head felt like my brain had a pumpkin in it and it was expanding trying to pop my eyes out and explode my skull.  I slowly got up and stumbled to the cupboard beneath the stove and got some aspirin and gulped it down. I then went outside and nearly ran back inside, outside was too bright just way to bright the sun needed to calm it’s tits and turn down the brightness. I blinked a few times to try and get a clear view of my surroundings, Two-Bit was half naked and half hanging off the edge of the pier, Dally was asleep on top of Darry, Johnny was asleep in his chair next to the smouldering bonfire that I guessed we made last night, Soda had somehow managed to get on the roof of the cabins and sleep there for the night and I don’t know where Ponyboy and Kate were but I gathered they must be in the cabins. I stumbled back to my cabin and fell into bed.

I woke up a few hours later to the sound of the shower, my vision was a little hazy so I lied on the bed for a few minutes just trying to pull myself together. What the hell happened last night? We must have drunk a hell of a lot. I stood up and heard the shower turn off a few minutes later Soda walked out, “Steve, what’s with the peanut butter man?” I had no idea what he was talking about until I looked down at my hand, I must have taken it with me and forgot to leave it at the kitchen. “Uh I don’t know man, but how was your slumber on the roof?” I asked jokingly. “Yeah it was uh interesting but what the heck happened last night?” “Man when you remember you tell me.” I laughed and jumped into the shower. I felt a better after the shower a bit more refreshed. I chucked on a black t-shirt and jeans. I walked back outside and saw Darry and Dally sitting awkwardly at the bonfire pit, I had to stir them about this, I sat down across from them. “So Darry, Dally you got something to share with everybody? You guys enjoy your sleep last night?” Dally and Darry just shot me a glare that meant if I continued it would be instant death so I just roared laughing. I looked over at the pier and Two-Bit was now only just waking up, he looked up and around you could tell he was hung over.  “Hey Two-Bit how’s the water?” I yelled laughing. He just looked at me and flipped me off, He stood up and went to walk back up the pier but fell backwards into the water I fell off the log I was sitting on and exploded into laughter, it was one of the funniest things I had seen in a while.  Two-Bit crawled out of the water literally on all fours and made his way up to is cabin. He opened the door and fell into the cabin, I had a feeling Two was still drunk.

Kate’s POV

I woke up to a loud thud and a brightness that wasn’t welcomed. I sat up quickly and clutched my head it felt like my brain was about to explode. I guessed I had a hangover, I looked at the door and saw Two-Bit lying on the ground groaning and he was half naked, I tried to remember what happened last night but I couldn’t remember a thing.  I slowly got up and helped Two get up, I think he was still drunk and he was my fiancé. It then occurred to me he was wet like he had just gone for a swim but somehow in his condition I don’t think it was by choice. I I took him to the bed and put some dry clothes on him and a towel over the pillow so he wouldn’t catch a cold from his hair. Then I helped him get under the covers, he mumbled something I think it was either thankyou or love you but I couldn’t tell. I stumbled to the bathroom and threw up then I had a shower because I thought it would make me feel better and it did a tiny bit. I no longer had to stumble where I wanted to go I could just walk normally. I put on a black pj singlet and slacks and crawled back into bed next to my fiancé I liked the fact that he was my fiancé and we were going to be married and spend the rest of our lives together. Two was still somewhat awake because he opened his arms and wrapped them around me into a bear tight cuddle.

Two-Bits POV

I woke up and felt really cold and heard the sound of water.  I put my head up and heard what sounded like Steve make some sort of remark which I knew would be shit so I just flipped him off. I tried to stand off still not sure of my surroundings and then BAM! Suddenly I was submerged in water and I was awake! I went to get out but my head was killing me so I ended up just crawling out of the lake. And tried to get back to the cabin which I did eventually but the sun being so bright and it being so cold and my head killing me was not a great mix for me to be moving.  When I got to the cabin I leant on the door trying to open it but when I did I fell into the cabin. This day was not starting out well, then I felt two hands heave me up onto the bed, it was Kate. She made sure I wasn’t drenched and then even put a towel over my pillow, “love you” I murmured. A few moments later she came back out and crawled back into bed so I pulled her into a hug never  wanted to let her go, after all she was now my fiancé. After a few minuted I fell asleep.

Darry’s POV

I woke up a felt a big weight on top of me, I tried to push it off but it moved and groaned. I looked at it properly and SHOOT it was Dally what the hell? I pushed him off and scurried backwards. What did we do last night that resulted in that? Shoot I couldn’t remember, I looked around, Two-Bit was on the pier, Soda was climbing off of the roof, Johnny was asleep next to the fire and Dally was just staring at me with pure horror on his face. “We never talk about this!!!” I said sternly but in a whisper so I didn’t wake Johnny. “You don’t gotta tell me twice.” He said putting his hands up as if he surrenders. We ten sat on opposite sides of the bonfire and just sat in awkward silence until Steve came out of the cabin and made one of his smartass comments. “So Darry, Dally you got something to share with everybody? You guys enjoy your sleep last night?” He was waiting for some comment but instead I just shot him a glance warning him. He just laughed and didn’t say much more about it. I stared at the ground because it wasn’t as bright as the rest of my surroundings. I heard a splash and a minute later saw Two-Bit crawling out of the lake, and just laughed to myself, the look on his face was priceless. He somehow crawled to the cabin and I wasn’t going in there if both he and Kate were in there.

Dally’s POV

I woke up on something hard but squishy. I looked up and me and Darry shared a split second of an awkward oh god WTF did we do stare and then jumped away from one another.  We avoided looking at one another until Darry said we don’t tell no one and I wasn’t going to argue.  I just hoped no one had seen us. Ugh man I wasn’t gay so how the hell did I end up asleep on top of Darry? It ran shivers through me so I decided not to think about it and as soon as Johnny woke up I was taking him back to the house.  To get away from Darry, I wasn’t going to stay here any longer than I have to especially with my head feeling like it being punched out from the inside and my ribs feeling like they had been kicked a few times but I couldn’t figure out why. Then Steve came over and I thought oh great what’s he going to say because with that smirk on his face I bet he saw us and sure enough h did so after he finished I just shot him a warning glance and then stared back at the ground.

Johnny’s POV

I woke up after Steve had yelled to Two-Bit about something, two was crawling out of the lake but I couldn’t figure out why. I rubbed my eyes and looked around then I felt my chair moving, I looked back and saw Dally, he looked thoroughly pissed off and I wasn’t going to say anything in case he decided to throw me from my chair not that he would. Dally has never laid a hand on me but I still didn’t want to take the chance. We arrived back at the house, Dally took me to my room and put me into bed because truth be told my head was killing me and I was still really tired. Then he stalked off to his room muttering something under his breath.

Soda’s POV

I woke up and looked to my right, and realised I was on the roof. How did that happen? What happened last night? I knew there was a reason I never drank but last night was a celebration. I swung my legs off the roof and held on by my arms then gently let myself down on the ground. I walked to the cabin where I saw Steve asleep on the bed with a jar of peanut butter…I wasn’t going to wake him up to ask. Steve got really mad if you woke him up when he wasn’t ready so I left him there. I jumped in the shower and sure enough I felt better afterwards, I walked out and saw Steve waking up neither one of us could remember last night and Steve didn’t even realise the peanut butter. I got dressed and walked out to the bon fire pit where the Darry and Steve were. We didn’t speak much but then realised Ponyboy was missing he wasn’t in our cabin and we couldn’t see him anywhere. Darry got up and opened the door to his cabin but Ponyboy wasn’t there either. Where the hell was he?  We walked around camps trying to find him.

Ponyboy’s POV

I opened my eyes and my vision was all blurry, I blinked a few times and rubbed my eyes.  Then I realised my vision was fine where I was wasn’t fine, I was surrounded in darkness. I started to freak out and yelled but my head felt a piercing pain and I decided not to yell anymore. I thrashed around and the door popped open. I fell out of the…cupboard. “Well there’s a literal metaphor if ever I saw one.” Steve said. I was in our cabin but not in my bed I slept in the cupboard but I couldn’t remember why. “Oh shut-up Steve.”  I groaned but he just smiled and said “it must run in the family.” I didn’t know what he meant until Steve explained the whole Darry and Dally incident this morning. I shoved Steve aside and ran to the bath room, I gathered I was hung over when I was resting my head in the toilet seat.  Soda came in and picked me up and put me in bed, telling me I was fine and not to worry.  I fell asleep almost instantly.
