Hey guys so in this book I am not going to have Johnny in a wheel chair and him and Dally will still live in Tulsa. Everything was explained to the police and judges while Kate and Two-Bit were on their honey moon and Johnny made a “miraculous” recovery. He was also let go on the basis that he is Johnny and he is just too sweet and innocent.

We got back home and I hopped out of the car and before I knew it we were bombarded by hugs and yells and cheers. “So how was the honeymoon?” Steve asked winking and nudging Two-Bit “Oh you know man…wild.” I just rolled my eyes and walked into the Curtis house, plopping down on the couch. When all the guys came back in yelling and being well guys I decided I would go and see mum seeing as they were more involved in Two-Bit than me which I didn’t mind so much I was feeling really tired anyway. I escaped out the door unseen and walked home. Being careful not to be seen by Socs, I walked in the house and saw boxes everywhere, “Mother?” “Kate! Your home.” She hugged me and then I pulled away. “What’s with the boxes?” “Uh you might want to sit down.” She gestured to the couch. “Mum just tell me.” I said pleadingly. “I was offered a job in Chicago, it pays good and I have a friend down there, that I am going to stay with for a while…I was thinking maybe seeing as your newlyweds, you and Two-Bit would want to live here… you would pay the mortgage and bills and everything but you just wouldn’t have to pay for a new house. What do you think?” “I think you’re the best mother ever!!!” I hugged her tightly. “Thankyou! Thankyou! Thankyou!” I said quickly and excitingly. “I leave tomorrow…you can keep the furniture I won’t be needing it and I have nowhere to put it.” She says kindly. “Thank you so much mother!!! I have to tell Two-Bit!!” I say and rush out of the house.  I run to the Curtis house and up the stairs, where once again I am bombarded with hugs. “Where’d you go?” Darry asked. I could barely contain my excitement but somehow I managed to reduce it while speaking to Darry and in front of the gang. “I went to see my mother.” I say smiling “So Kate, tell us about the honeymoon.” Pony says smiling up at me from the floor. “Um it was great! I had fun and it was real nice there they had really great sunsets, you would have loved it Ponyboy.” I say as I walk over to Two-Bit and put my hand in his. He then turned me under his arm so I was still holding his hand but he was hugging me from behind. “So, what’s been going on with you guys while we have been away?” While Soda rambled on about something I just thought about the house and how generous my mum was. I then quickly snuck me and Two-Bit into the kitchen, “What’s the matter?” he asks looking confused. “Nothing, every things great actually more than great! Ok so mum is moving to Chicago tomorrow because she has been offered a job and well she’s giving us the house, we still have to pay the mortgage and everything but Two-Bit we have a house!!! Our own house!!!” I was nearly squealing by this point and I had a big foolish grin spread across my face. Two-Bit just looked stunned like he didn’t know what to say, without warning he picked me up around the waist and I wrapped my legs around his torso he kissed me and spun me around and I loudly laughed with excitement. The boys then came rushing in and saw us kissing again, “Ew come on you two you had your honeymoon to do all that stuff.” Ponyboy say disgustedly covering his face and I just laughed at him was so happy. “What’s going on?” Darry asks. “Well …” I started but Soda cut in. “YOU’RE PREGNANT!!!” I just threw my head back in laughter and couldn’t even deny it and Two-Bit was the same.  When I could eventually talk I just said “No Soda sorry to disappoint.” Soda just pouted and crossed his arms. “We have a house!” Two-Bit exclaimed hugging me tightly. “Congratulations!” Darry said with the pang of jealousy in his eyes and voice. I then felt bad gloating about our new house when Darry could barely make ends meet. “I mean it’s nothing special it’s just my mom’s house but she’s moving so she’s giving it to us.” I say hushed. “It’s still your own house though.” Soda said happily. “Yeah true.” I say smiling. “Time for some celebratory beers I think.” Dally Grinned and grabbed some out of the fridge as well as chocolate cake.

“No it wasn’t my fault you tripped me, I would have one that race otherwise!” I yelled at Sodapop. “Not even, I one that race in middle school fair and square.” He yelled back over the music. I just laughed and finished off my 10th beer. “We need Pizza!!!” I yelled raising my empty beer bottle above my head. “Agreed!!” I grabbed the phone off the wall and dialled the pizza place. “Yeah can I have 4 large pizzas all meat lovers…then I told him where to deliver it to.” And hung up. “Pizza will be here in 20 minutes!” I yelled back and heard numerous cheers. I grabbed another beer and stumbled to the porch and lit a cigarette then I felt two hands wrap around my waist and smelt the strong stench of alcohol and some body whispered in my ear. “We got a house!” I turned around and saw Two-Bit standing there smiling goofily and looking mighty drunk. “I know!  It’s exciting.” I wrap my hands around his neck and kiss his neck. He makes the same funny sound he did that day in the hospital and I laugh at the memory. “I love you!”  “I love you to-oh pizza!” Two-Bit ditches me and grabs the pizza I hand the delivery guy the money and ran inside before it was all gone. “Man this pizza is delicious!” I say as I stuff another piece in my mouth. “Yet again you are right Kate!” Soda snickers.

“I-I-I don’t know” Dally laughs and passes out and we all just laugh and chuckle. I can’t even remember what we were talking about. “I think we should all go to sleep” I said slurring my words together. I took in the scene around me, Dallas was passed out in the chair, Soda was lying on the coffee table inspecting a spoon, Steve was eating chocolate chips from the bag, Ponyboy had gone to bed, Darry just sat there with a stupid grin on his face while Johnny tried to walk in a straight line to the bathroom and Two-Bit and I were Lying on the sofa. “I think you are both right!” Darry said looking at me and I gathered he must have been seeing two of me right now. I took of my leather jacket and threw it on the ground then I snuggled into Two-Bit and he held me in his arms.
