I crumpled to the ground no words or tears really escaping my eyes for a few moments. I looked down at his things the soldiers had just given to me. On top was the picture I had given to him of all of us. I clutched the picture to my chest and let the tears go and sobs rack my body.

He couldn't be dead! God Please don't let him be dead! My knees started to ache and I was still crying behind the door I hadn't moved in... I don't know how long but I couldn't bring myself to move. I could hear Keith crying but I couldn't make myself move to go get him.

I then heard footsteps coming up the path to see Darry and Sodapop coming up the path both had red faces as if they had been crying to. "Soda? Darry?" I asked hoarsely. Soda came through the door and looked down at me tears filling his eyes. Darry walked straight by me and towards Keith I think.

"Soda wh-" "Steve. Both him and Two-Bit are MIA, w-when we found out we c-came right over." He whimpered his voice breaking. Darry came back out with Keith in his arms bouncing him up and down trying to calm him. My baby boy was going to grow up without a father and that broke my heart even more.

I fell into Soda's arms and cried some more he wrapped me tightly in a hug and cried with me. We sat there for hours him just holding me. "I'm going to take Keith back to our house and give you some rest." Darry sniffed and walked out with Keith's bag and Keith. Neither one of us answered instead Sodapop just picked me up and carried me to bed.

He took my shoes off and then laid down next to me and just hugged me again and cried with me. We cried ourselves to sleep that night.

I was running through a jungle everything was a blur though but it was dark green with little spurts of light here and there. It was mostly dense jungle from what I could make out. I heard distant yelling and gunfire coming from somewhere but I didn't dare look back. My body ached and I was yelling at people but I don't know what I was saying. It was hot and the sound of helicopters in the distance was heard. I looked to my right and saw someone familiar someone with black hair and blue eyes but I couldn't remember who he was. We exchanged an anxious look then everything went black. The next things I saw was a group of people standing over me in doctors masks.

I woke up and gasped for oxygen "Kate what's the matter?" Sodapop asks rubbing my back. "Two-Bit...he's not dead!" "Wait what? What are you talking about?" he looked at me confused and I sighed the told him my dream.

"Soda it wasn't just some dream this was real. I just know it Two isn't dead!" I sighed in relief and smiled even though I thought I never would again. "So hypothetically if your dream was real what could you do?" I looked at him as if he had just asked the stupidest question ever. "Go and find him. He's alive somewhere and I need to find him Sodapop. He's my husband and the father of my child." "Exactly Katerina your child! The one you need to take care of!" I nod and put my hands in front of my face. "But Soda if Two-Bit's alive I need to find him so that OUR child can grow up knowing who his father is...and I have to give them both that opportunity."

Sodapop sighs "So what you're going to take him to Vietnam with you?" I shake my head "No I will probably give him to my mother. I don't know all I know is I will be gone by the end of the week." He hugs me again. "I'll talk to Darry and see if we can keep him here. He is our nephew after all." "you sure Sodapop?" I look up at him and he nods smiling slightly. "Yeah Kate if I had the chance to be with Sandy again, despite everything, I would do anything I could to be with her." I grin and kiss his cheek. "Thankyou Soda thankyou so much!" I wrap my arms around his neck but he then pulls away "But Kate if you don't find him in 3 months then you come back. You be the mother for your child and wait for Two-Bit to come back to you. And why your over there try and find out about Steve for us?" I nod with tears in my eyes.

"So that's it then I'm going to Vietnam to find my husband and father of my child."
