**Ponyboy's POV**

"You can go in now." The nurse says and smiles as she exits the room.
We had been waiting for a few hours for the news of the baby and Kate. We were all pretty nervous Soda pop hadn't stopped pacing the waiting room eversince we arrived, I hadn't stop smoking neither had Johnny and Steve and Darry just sat in the chairs real quiet like.
Soda was the first one in there, I couldn't figure out why he was so nervous.
I walked in behind Soda and saw an exhausted looking Kate with Two-Bit next to her cradling a baby wrapped in a white blanket. She looked up at us all and smiled, "Guys this is our son Keith Dallas Mathews, the new addition to our gang." Two gleamed with pride and joy.
I had to admit I did like the name, and I was happy they had a healthy son. I was standing beside Kate when she put the baby in front of me "You're supposed to hold it Ponyboy." Steve laughed...I blushed before admitting "I-I don't know how..." I had never held a baby before or really been around one so how could I know?
"Just hold his head and hold that arm under him like that." Kate explains and shows me what to do I nod and carefully hold baby Keith in my arms. He made a few crying noises but stopped once I...well assumed he was comfortable anyway.
He had Two-Bit's sky blue eyes, Kate's dark hair and high cheekbones and Kate's rosey red lips.
"He's beautiful Kate." I say admiring the baby as he looked up at me. Keith jnr really was beautiful...not handsome or good looking but beautiful like a sunset the baby was gold...he was new...and I hoped for his sake he would always stay gold because to grow up in this town was rough. I knew Two-Bit and Kate would always look out for him but still Socs...you can't predict them.
"Stop hogging the baby Ponyboy give him here." Darry chuckled and gently grabbed the baby out of my arms.
Darry seemed to be a natural at holding babies but he was like me he never was around babies. "Darry, we were thinking that um you'd be his godfather man." Two-Bit said still bursting with joy.
I saw Darry's muscles tense slightly and then a huge grin overtook his face "I'd be honoured man." He was the happiest I had seen him in a long time ever since the hearing for custody. I liked it when Darry was happy because although we ad a arguments and most of the time we couldn't really stand each other I was glad when he was happy because he wasn't most of the time.
"And of course you are all his uncles... That pretty much goes without saying but just to clear things up." Kate chuckles slightly the exhaustion clear in her voice and her face and actions. "I think it's time we go guys give Kate some rest. We'll be back tomorrow." Darry said and led us out of the room still beaming.
**Two-Bit's POV**
I watched as the gang filed out of the room one by one waving goodbye. "I'm gonna go pee be back in a minute." I said and went to the bathroom.
I came back and saw Kate fast asleep she was exhausted and who could blame her? But even after labor she was gorgeous. I smiled at her and then walks diver and picked Keith out of her arms allowing her to rest.
I carried my son out onto the adjoinging balcony and showed him Tulsa. "This is where you'll grow up little man this is where we're going to raise you. This is where I will teach you how to ride a bike,throw a football drink your first beer and be as funny as I am." I chuckle a bit and sigh out in happiness I couldn't believe I was now a father but here I was holding my newborn son in my arms and I was never going to run out on my kid like my father did on me! I was going to be the best god damned father I could be. Nothing was going to tear me and my son apart.
