Chapter 6
Kirstie wakes up the next morning on the couch with the television still on. Her mind still cloudy from the same thoughts from last night. She needed to do something to help clear her mind.
She looks outside at the beautiful sunshine. It was a gorgeous warm day. Maybe a drive out to the country will do the trick and clear her mind.
She goes and gets dressed in shorts, a tank top and a blue jean vest. Slipping on some sandals, she grabs her purse, keys and phone and heads out the door.

Tim wakes up with the sun shining in his eyes. He sits up and stretches. Another night spent on the couch. He picks up the remote and turns off the television.
Sundays were his only day off and he wasn't about to spend it cooped up in the house, feeling sorry for himself. It was a beautiful day for a drive out in the country.
He goes and gets dressed in blue jeans and a blue jean shirt, rolling the sleeves up to the elbow. After slipping on his boots, he grabs his wallet, phone and keys then heads out the door.
He removes the top from his jeep, laying it in Nate's garage. Stealing a bottle of water from the refrigerator that Nate had in the garage. He gets in his jeep and heads out of town.

"Oh NO! Not now." Kirstie whines as the temperature light blinks then turns red. She looks up to see steam coming from under the hood of the car. "Oh, this is just great." She growls as she pulls off to the side of the deserted country road. She turns off her car and starts to dig through her purse to find her phone. Not noticing the jeep pulling up behind her.
She unlocks her phone. 'No Service' appears on the screen. "Oh crap." She mumbles.
Her windows are darkly tinted so Tim could not see who was in the fancy car, just someone needing help. He pecks on the window.
"AAHHHHHH!!" Kirstie screams dropping her phone. She jumps looking around at the window. IT'S HIM!!! IT'S BROWN EYES!!"
"I'm sorry." Tim says holding up his hands. He knew he had startled a lady but the window was so dark he couldn't see her. "I didn't mean to scare you. Do you need some help?"
Kirstie slowly begins to roll down her window, revealing her identity to Tim.
"Oh sh*t." Tim mumbles under his breath. "It's her."
"Hi." Kirstie says with a nervous smile when she sees a shocked look on his face.
"Uh." Tim says, not being able to form words as he stares at the beautiful blond. 'Come on, Tim speak' an inner voice tells him. "Hi. Uh, do...do you need any help?"
"You're hot. Oh God, The car, I mean the car is hot." Kirstie says slapping a hand on her forehead. What the heck did she just say. Mentally slapping herself over and over again. She peeks up at him to notice him blushing. How cute.
"Do you mind, uh, popping the hood and I'll take a look." Tim says as he tries to keep his mind in order. But his thoughts were screaming SHE SAID I WAS HOT!!!
"Oh sure." She smiles pulling the hood latch. He walks to the front of the car, carefully raising the hood.
"He's just a grease monkey. Grease monkey." Kirstie whispers quietly to herself. "But DANG! He a gorgeous grease monkey." Still whispering.
"Looks like you have a busted water hose." Tim says as he walks back to her window.
"Can you fix it?" She ask as her eyes scans his handsome face.
"Not here." Tim says, shaking his head. "And the shop is closed today."
"What am I suppose to do?" She ask. Knowing she just couldn't leave her car there on the side of the road. She couldn't call anyone to come get her cause there was no phone service.
"Well, we could go to the station and get the wrecker and come back after it. And I can fix it first thing in the morning." Tim smiles as he checks out how beautiful she was.
"I don't guess I have much of a choice do I." She smirks.
"Not really." Tim smiles, opening her door for her. "Just be sure and lock it. It'll be fine till we get back."
She rolls the window up, grabs her purse, phone and keys and gets out of the car, locking the doors.
Tim's eyes quickly sweeps over her small petite body and smiles sadly to himself. If only he had the chance with an angel like this.
"Are you alright?" She ask, noticing him zoned out.
"Oh, yea I'm fine. Just thinking." He says as they head to his jeep.
"Oh Wow! A Jeep!" She giggles as she climbs in and puts on her seat belt.
"It's pretty windy. I took the top off, I wasn't expecting to have a passenger." Tim shrugs as he starts the jeep.
"Oh no that's fine. I've never ridden in a convertible before. I'm excited." She smiles at him.
As Tim was driving back toward town, he would shoot glances over at the blond from time to time.
She had her eyes closed and was smiling as the wind blew through his hair.
"I'm Tim, by the way." He smiles.
She opens her eyes and turns to look at him, as she held back her hair.
"It just dawned on me that we've never introduced ourselves." She laughs. "I'm Kirstie."
"So who was the guy with the dynamic personality that you were with yesterday." Tim says with a smirk.
"Mitch or Avi?" She ask.
"The prankster that turned the wipers on while I was cleaning the sh*t off his windshield." Tim chuckles.
"That was Mitch." She laughs slightly rolling her eyes.
"Well, all I can say is your boyfriend or whoever he is, better be glad I needed my job." Tim laughs.
"Oh, he's not my boyfriend. He's gay." Kirstie giggles.
"Oh, Okay." Tim says trying to hide his smile.
"What about you?" Kirstie ask, brush her hair back.
"No, I'm not gay." Tim chuckles shaking his head.
"No." Kirstie laughs. "What I meant was, is there a girlfriend that will kick my butt if she sees me in your jeep."
""No, there hasn't been one in a long time. So you can relax." Tim smiles as he pulls up to the station.
"That's good." She whispers to herself.
They get out of the jeep and climb into the wrecker and head back out to where Kirstie's car was. Tim hooks her car up to the wrecker and begins to toe it back to the garage.
"So what were you doing way out here by yourself anyway?" Tim ask. "You don't look much like the country girl type."
"I just had a lot of stuff on my mind, so I thought I would just take a drive and clear my mind." Kirstie says. "It's beautiful out here. It's so quiet."
"You know, you're a lot nicer than I thought you'd be." Tim chuckles.
"Oh? I have you know, I'm very nice." Kirstie says with a smirk.
"You weren't very nice yesterday." Tim says raising an eyebrow.
"Oh that. I'm sorry. Just being around Mitch makes me act that way." Kirstie shrugs.
They pull back up at the garage. Tim gets out and unlocks one of the huge sliding doors and pushes it open. He then pulls her car into the garage and unhooks it from the wrecker. He closes the large door and locks it. Closing her car safely inside.
"Do you need a ride home? Or do you have someone you can call?" Tim ask as they get out of the wrecker.
"Well Avi and Mitch both had dates last night so they still may be busy, if you know what I mean." She says standing awkwardly by the wrecker.
"Probably." Tim smiles, thinking of Adam and Avi's date. "I don't mind at all to give you a lift home."
"Thank you so much." She says as she heads to his jeep. "So what time should I come get my car tomorrow?"
"We open at 7:30, it shouldn't take long to fix it." Tim says as he follows her directions.
"Wow, these are some nice apartments." Tim says as they pull up in front of her condo.
"Their condos." She say probably more sassy than she meant to.
"Oh, Sorry." Tim says with a slight roll of his eyes.
"How much do I owe you?" She ask pulling out her check book.
"You don't owe me a thing." Tim says shaking his head.
"No, you spent your whole day off helping me. Now I want to pay you something." Kirstie says.
"You can pay me back by going out with me." Tim smiles at her.
"Uh, what?" She ask with raised brows.
