The next morning, Tim got up early, taking a shower and begin trying to get ready for his date. After changing tee shirts four times, he decided on the first one that he had put on. A gray tee shirt with his home state of Texas on the front. He slips on a pair of his good jeans then heads to the kitchen to start to get things ready for their picnic.

As he walks into the kitchen there is a knock on the door.

"Who the hell?" He mumbles to himself as he walks toward the door. "I ain't got time for this."

He opens the door to a very excited Avi and a tired Adam.

"What are ya'll doing here?" Tim asks, closing the door behind them. "I'm suppose to be at Kirstie's by 10."

"He just HAD to come help." Adam says as he stumbles to the couch to lie down.

"Truthfully, I could probably use some help. My mind is going in a million different directions right now." Tim sighs nervously. "I have no idea what I need to do first."

"Great." Avi claps and hurries toward the kitchen. "By the way, you look awesome."

Tim smirks, raising a brow at Adam.

Adam rolls his eyes before shutting them to take a nap.

"You have a basket?" Avi asks as he begins to get things out of the refrigerator.

"A basket?" Tim asks.

"Yea, like a picnic basket." Avi says.

"Maybe, I'm not sure." Tim says as he goes to the closet in the hallway.

A few minutes later he returns with a small wicker basket with a handle.

"Will this work? It's all I can find." Tim asks setting the basket on the counter.

"That's perfect. Now you need a blanket." Avi says as he begins to make the sandwiches.

"For what?" Tim asks.

"To lay on the ground." Avi chuckles, shaking his head.

"Oh yeah." Tim says as he heads to the bedroom closet.

He comes back with a folder blanket and lays it on the table.

"You need to sit and calm down." Avi laughs. "You're a nervous wreck."

"I am nervous." Tim nods. "She is just so far out of my league. I've never been out with anyone like her before."

"Just be yourself. That's what has her interested. You're different from all the other guys she's gone out with." Avi says as he packs the basket. "Just have fun."

"You're right. I can do this." Tim says, rubbing a hand across his forehead.

"Tim, you're a good looking guy." Avi says but was interrupted.

"I HEARD THAT!" Adam shouts from his place on the couch.

Tim chuckles and hangs his head as Avi rolls his eyes.

"But not as gorgeous as you, my little Cup Cake." Avi says, shaking his head.

"That's more like it." Adam says getting comfortable on the couch.

"AS I WAS GOING TO SAY BEFORE I WAS RUDELY INTERRUPTED!" Avi says loudly with a chuckle. "Your good looks already has her interested now just charm her with your southern charm. Show her there is more to a good time than dinner at an expensive restaurant and a boring movie."

"Thanks, Avi. I really needed that pep talk. THE ONE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMING FROM MY BEST FRIEND." Tim says allowing his voice to get louder so that Adam could hear him.

"Hey, I already know you're sexy, you just need to convince her that you are." Adam says with a smirk.

"Screw you." Tim says as the reaches down and smacks Adam on the head.

"Owww." Adam laughs, rubbing his head. "Seriously though, Bro. Just be yourself. She'll love it, guarantee it."

"I hope you're right. I need to go." Tim says as he picks up the basket and grabs the blanket.

"You need help hooking the four-wheeler trailer up?" Adam asks.

"Naw, Nate helped me last night after ya'll left." Tim says. "Ya'll stay as long as you like, just lock up when you leave."

Adam gives him a thumbs-up from the couch as Tim walks out.

Tim makes sure everything is secure in the back of the jeep before getting into the driver's seat.

He fastens his seat belt and starts the jeep. Slipping on his sunglasses, he looks at himself in the mirror.

"This is it." He says, taking a deep breath before pulling out of the driveway.

Kirstie dug through her closet trying to find her other sandal. She was all ready for her date, wearing blue jean shorts and a Disneyland tee shirt, except for the sandals that she was wanting to wear.

"FOUND IT!" She shouted happily as someone knocks on the door.

She hops through the living room on one foot, trying to put her sandal on. Not knowing what time it was, she thought it was too early for Tim.

She furiously jerks the door open to a shocked Tim.

"Uh, am I early?" He asks quietly.

"Oh my God." She says looking around at the clock. 10:00. "Oh, No. I guess I spent more time than I thought looking for my other shoe. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to.... OH MY GOD!!" She screams looking pass him at the 4-wheeler. "WE'RE GOING 4-WHEELING???"

"Well, I, Uh, I thought maybe we could. But if you'd rather not." Tim says, rubbing the back of his neck thinking that he had already screwed up.

She squeals and throws her arms around his neck.

"Is that a good squeal or a bad squeal?" Tim chuckles as he leans over to meet her hug.

"Definitely a GREAT one." She laughs, kissing him on the cheek. "I've always dreamed of riding one. But my friends just don't do things like that." She adds with a fake sophisticated accent.

"Well, today, I'm gonna make your dream come true." Tim smiles.

"Honey, you already have." She smiles as she closes the door behind them.
