(Saturday afternoon)

"You need help getting everything ready for you big date tomorrow?" Adam chuckles as he and Tim close the shop for the day.

"I have to go by the grocery when I get off to get a few things. I know I'll forget something." Tim says as he throws away some trash. "I don't know why I so freaking nervous."

"I do. Hell, you haven't been on a date since you and Jenika called it quits. You've gotten rusty." Adam laughs. "But seriously, if you need mine and Avi's help, we'll be more than happy to lend you a hand."

"I'd hate to ask with this being Saturday and all. Ya'll probably got plans." Tim says, turning out the lights of the shop.

"Avi and I want this date to be a success just as much as you do." Adam says as they walk to their vehicles. "We can't afford you screwing up by forgetting something." He laughs. "Did you get gas for the four-wheeler?"

"Yep, got it first thing this morning so I wouldn't forget." Tim says, getting into his jeep.

"I'll give Avi a quick call. I'll go by and pick him up and meet you at the grocery." Adam says as he starts his truck.

"Are you sure ya'll don't mind?" Tim asks.

"Positive. See you in a little bit." Adam says as he drives away. 

Tim drives to the grocery store and parks his jeep. He rests his head on the back of his seat and closes his eyes. So many things were running through his mind. Things he needed to get. What if she doesn't have fun and doesn't want to go out with him again. Should he kiss her on their first date? Adam was right, he had gotten rusty.

A horn blew beside him causing him to almost jump out of his seat. He looks around to see his USE TO BE best friend and his boyfriend, laughing hysterically.

"That was not cool." Tim says as he puts a hand over his rapidly beating heart.

"Sorry about that. Avi made me do it." Adam laughs.

"I did not." Avi laughs hitting Adam playfully on the arm. "Let's go shopping."

Avi grabs Adam by the hand and Tim's arm as he pulls them toward the door.

"Now let's not go overboard. My funds are sort of limited." Tim says as Avi grabs a shopping cart.

They went down the aisles of the store getting a few things that Tim would need for the picnic. Bread, meat, cheese, chips along with a couple of things Tim needed for himself like coffee, sugar and beer.

As they pass by the deli, Tim spots a small fruit tray with sliced apples, strawberries and seedless grapes.

"What about this? This looks pretty good." Tim says as he looks at the small tray.

"She loves fruit, especially strawberries." Avi nods. So Tim puts the tray into the cart.

Tim starts to notice Avi putting stuff into the cart that he wasn't needing for the picnic. He begins to get worried because he knew he didn't have that much money unless he uses part of the rent money to save him from embarrassment.

"Uh, Avi?" Tim says, to get the smaller man's attention.

"Hmm?" Avi hums as he searches for something on the shelves.

"Uh, what are you doing?" Tim asks.

"I'm fixing you guys' supper tonight." Avi smiles.

"Oh, that's nice." Tim mumbles as he looks down at the rapidly filling cart. There goes his rent money.

Avi chuckles at the worried look on the taller man's face as he looks at all the groceries.

"Don't worry, Tim, I got this." Avi smiles as he pats Tim on the arm.

"That's a relief." Tim chuckles lightly.

"Is this all together?" The girl behind the check out counter ask.

"No." Tim says.

"Yes." Avi corrects him.

"No, Avi. I'll pay for my stuff." Tim says, shaking his head, pulling his wallet from his back pocket.

"Yes, Timothy. I got this." Avi says, looking up at him.

"Uh, Tim?" Adam says softly, shaking his head. "Don't try arguing with him. Especially when he uses your whole name. He means business."

Tim looks around at Avi who is staring at him with raised brows as if he was saying, 'Got anything to say about it?'

"Well, Okay, I guess." Tim mumbles, putting his wallet back into his pocket.

"It's all together." Avi smiles sweetly at the waiting check out girl.

They loaded the groceries into the back of Tim's jeep and then headed toward his apartment.

Once at they arrive at his apartment, they unload the groceries and Avi gets started on fixing supper.

"So what are you fixing?" Adam says at he walks up behind his lover and wraps his arms around his waist.

"Tacos." Avi says leaning his head back so he could give Adam a kiss.

"Need any help?" Tim asks as he gets him and Adam a beer, Avi politely declined the beer that was offered to him.

"No, you guys have worked all day so ya'll take it easy." Avi smiles.

"I like him, Adam. You got a good one this time." Tim smirks as he sits down at the table. "I think he's a keeper."

"Yea, I think so too." Adam says kissing Avi on the cheek. "I'm a lucky man."

"You guys are just too sweet." Avi chuckles. "But I think I'm the lucky one." Kissing Adam tenderly.

"Alright, ya'll can save the mushy stuff until you get back home." Tim says with a smile as he reaches for a taco. "I need to eat and get to bed. I've got a long day tomorrow."
