Personality

Extremely intelligent and proud, Doom's defining trait is his desire for his supremacy over all things.

As one of the most brilliant minds on the planet as well as being an egotistical perfectionist, Doom places his own importance over others and has no problem killing or torturing people, regarding little about others' lives. He believes that his mind and power is the only thing the world requires to achieve its glory, and thus always acts by his own pride.

However, despite these negative traits, Doom is without any sense of honor. Despite his ruthlessness, Doom is known for being bound by his honor and his fearlessness. His only reason for world conquest is his only desire to bring order and peace to humanity. The only people he genuinely loved and cared for were his parents, who he wished to avenge when they died. Furthermore, despite initially appearing as a tyrant, he wishes nothing but the best for his own people. As a scientist, while he values science the most, as he would invent many devices that would help him in his conquest, he would also hone his skills in magic as well.

While Doom is a valuable ally to others and often team up with other superheroes as well, he only allies with them out of his own ulterior motives, and should his allies outlive their usefulness, he will often abandon them as soon as he gets what he wants and would quickly turn on them.

As a member of Graylight, while he is irritated by Taeho's chaotic tendencies, he nonetheless is impressed by his feats and powers, especially after healing his face. He also seem to have respect for other villains or anti-heroes in the team, especially Magneto and Namor.

Biography

Victor Von Doom was born to a tribe of Latverian Romani people under the rule of an unnamed nobleman called the Baron. Victor's mother was witch Cynthia Von Doom who taught Victor the mystic arts as a child but would later die by the Devil (strongly implied to be Mephisto). His father, Werner von Doom, was the leader of the tribe and a renowned scientist who kept his wife's sorceress life quiet in order to protect Victor from a similar fate.

Soon after Cynthia's death, the Baron's wife grew incurably ill from cancer and Werner was called to the capital to heal her. When she succumbed to illness, the Baron labeled Werner a murderer and called for his death. Werner escaped with young Victor, having realized the night before the woman would die. He goes on to die of exposure on the mountainside, cradling the boy in a final embrace and giving him his garments to keep him warm. Victor survived and, on return to the Romani camp, discovered his mother's occult instruments and swore revenge on the Baron.

Over the years, Victor grew into a headstrong and brilliant man, combining sorcery and technology to create fantastic devices which would keep the Baron's men at bay and protect the Roma people. His exploits attracted the attention of the dean of Empire State University, who sent someone to the camp. Offered the chance to study in the United States, Von Doom chose to leave his homeland and his love, Valeria, behind.

Once in the United States, Victor met fellow student and future rival Reed Richards, who would become the superhero Mr. Fantastic and leader of the Fantastic Four as a result. After a time, Victor constructed a machine intended to communicate with the dead, specifically his mother. Though Richards tried to warn him about a flaw in the machine, Victor continued on with disastrous results, the machine violently failing with the resulting explosion seemingly severely damaging his face. The accident would seemingly drive Victor crazy, and vows that Richards will pay.

Expelled after the accident, Victor traveled the world until he collapsed on a Tibetan mountainside. Rescued by a clan of monks, Victor quickly mastered the monks' disciplines as well as the monks themselves. Victor then forged himself a suit of armor, complete with an iron mask, but before the mask had finished cooling, Victor put it on, permanently bonding it to his skin while gruesomely scarring his face as a result, and then took on the mantle Doctor Doom. While he would go on to fight the Fantastic Four led by Richards, he would also become the enemy of the Avengers and the X-Men. Despite this, he would eventually succeed in his revolution to take over Latveria, and becoming the monarch.

After on, Doom would also develop Doombots, robots that were perfect replicas of himself. He would use them as decoys to prevent any attacks while he is occupied. Despite his egotistical and seemingly tyrannical appearance, he appears to be a decent ruler himself. Occasionally, he would team up with other superheroes and villains alike, including the Cabal, but only for his own values, and would often betray or leave them to their predicaments.

Powers

Magic: Doctor Doom is a powerful sorcerer of his own despite his skills in science. Taught by his mother since young, he specializes in mystic arts that involve dark magic, such as that of Morgan le Fay, the Witch Queen. Some of the magical skills he possess include:
