Personality

Originally, Loki was a ever-scheming individual, which earned him his title: The God of Mischief. He meddled in people's lives and even led them to their inevitable deaths as it made him feel powerful, and often used superior ploys or ulterior designs upon his enemies.

Compared to his boisterous older brother, he constantly seemed to be relaxed, peaceful and quiet, but in truth he had the mind of a cold, calculating sociopath and was formulating machinations that would achieve the power and respect that he truly believed he deserves at all times. Loki hated both his brother Thor and his father Odin, mostly due to Odin seemingly favoring Thor the most. His hatred and jealousy worsened once he learned that he was a Frost Giant and was intended to be a political tool to bring peace between Asgard and Jotunheim, feeling betrayed by this revelation.

After leading the invasion of Earth by leading the army of Chitauri that led to the formation of the Avengers, Loki grew to hate humans even more, frustrated at the fact that humans had powers that overpower deities like him, and even further the fact that Thor's new comrades matched them in fight.

Despite this, he loved and cared for his adoptive mother, Frigga. His hatred and jealousy is a shroud that covered his true desire: To be Thor's equal and recognized by Odin as a worthy son.

Eventually, it was after the Fall of Asgard from Ragnarok, Loki becomes guilt-ridden and broken, feeling responsible for the destruction of his people and his regret of unable to say goodbye nor reconciling with his parents, along with remorse for causing so much pain and suffering on Earth. Residing on Earth, he lived a quiet life, no longer wishing for playing mischiefs toward mortals out of remorse for the Chitauri invasion. After helping Thor repair his Mjolnir, the two reconcile and Loki decides to live a life with a "glorious purpose".

Becoming a member of Graylight, Loki is outright amazed and terrified at Taeho's power, even stating that his illusions are more powerful than his.

Biography

Loki was born to son of Frost Giant Laufey, the ruler of Jotunheim. During the war between Asgardians and the Frost Giants, Laufey was killed but Loki was found by Odin, the King of Asgard. Odin took the child out of pity and sympathy while also hoping that one day Loki would grow up to become a bridge of peace between Asgard and Jotunheim.

Throughout his childhood and into adolescence, Loki was resentful of the differences between how Thor and himself were treated by the citizens of Asgard. The Asgardians valued great strength, tenacity, and bravery in battle above all things, and Loki was clearly inferior to his brother Thor in those areas. What he lacked in size and strength, however, he made up for in power and skill, particularly as a sorcerer. As Loki grew to adulthood, his natural talent for causing mischief would make itself manifest and earned him a nickname as the "God of Mischief"; his mischievousness eventually became malice as his hunger for power and revenge grew stronger. Several times he tried to use tricks to get rid of Thor, such as telling him to guard a hole in the wall that he himself had made.

Eventually, Loki's downward spiral toward insanity finally reached its breaking point when he learned that his true heritage was that of a Frost Giant, and learning of Odin's life. Angered and betrayed, he tried to have his father killed and take over Asgard by using the enchanted armor called the Destroyer, but was stopped by Thor and was banished. Furious, Loki vowed his vengeance on Asgard.

Later on, while scheming his vengeance, Loki laid his eyes on Earth. Seeing the planet as a perfect target, he recruited the army of aliens called the Chitauri and led an invasion to Earth. However, this would lead to the formation of the Avengers, formed by Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, and his brother Thor. Although he and the Chitarui were defeated by the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, he escaped them vowing vengeance.

After that, he was hunted by Thanos for stealing his army of Chitauri but managed to escape him with his illusions, and tricking him to killing a decoy while he managed to flee. However, this also made Loki to never cross paths with the Mad Titan.

Later on, finally gathering enough strength to take over Asgard, Loki then summoned his adoptive sister Hela, the Goddess of Death, Malekith the Accursed, the ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, and Surtur, the Fire Giant who resided in Muspelheim. However, Loki later learned that Hela betrayed him, and discovered the prophecy of Ragnarok, the destruction of Asgard and all the people. Horrified, he tried to stop this, but only resulted in the prophecy coming true, with Odin, Frigga, and other Asgardians dying with only Loki, Thor, and most Asgardians barely surviving. The surviving Asgardians wished him dead for what he has done, but Thor, out of pity, decided to exile him for good, and tells him to never return.

Ashamed and finally horrified of his actions that led to the destruction, Loki went on an exile to Earth, hiding as a mortal. At some point he actually ran for president, but decided to intentionally lose after seeing that his opponent was far more suited to be the president while also to appease the last memories of Odin.

Later on he took a guise of a teenager under the name of Jake Olson, before later approached by Thor, who found him with help from Doctor Strange. Thor, to repair his broken Mjolnir after his battle in Ragnarok, went on a quest to Nidavellir to find the blacksmith Eitri. At first Loki was hesitant, but agreed to. As they travelled while fighting many monsters, Thor and Loki opened up to each other, with Loki admitting his guilt of his actions while Thor expressing his regret of unable to see Loki's jealousy and trying to help him.

Eventually, after arriving on Nidavellir and repairing Thor's Mjolnir, the brothers reconcile before the two return to Earth, while also vowing to live a life with a "glorious purpose".

Powers

Asgardian/Frost Giant Physiology: Despite being a Frost Giant, Loki also possesses Asgardian attributes. Loki's true appearance is that of a blue-skinned being, which is a common trait Frost Giants have. He hides this with his enchantment.

Sorcery: Loki is a master in sorcery, being taught magic as a child by his mother, Frigga. He was even considered being a candidate as a Sorcerer Supreme.

Illusion Creation: Befitting his title as a God of Mischief, Loki is able to create powerful illusions that appear extremely realistic. This allows him to escape by creating a decoy or use them for infiltration to trick his enemies. Loki is even able to create a large-scale illusion that is capable of fooling even those of like Thanos and Hela.

Shapeshifting: Loki's illusions additionally allows him to shapeshift into different people or beings.

Hypnotism: Loki is able to hypnotize others by putting his hand onto someone's heart. Whenever someone is hypnotized, their eyes turn bright blue with their irises turning blank. Although they retain their personalities, they are still loyal to Loki under his control.

Ice Manipulation: As a Frost Giant, Loki is able to control ice and snow.
