Hi guys....I don't know how to properly put this into words..But...I'll try for the heck of it...

My Cat's name is Austin. He was adopted when I was 1 and a half and, coincidentally, he was 1 and a half. Our birthdays, we decided, would be on the same day every year.

14 Years later, on April 29, 2016, I went downstairs to get breakfast. Nothing seemed unusual until my parents came down and noticed Austin lying on the couch. This was not normal, as he would be begging for his can of food by now. He had been throwing up a lot recently and now this? My parents were going to take him to the vet.

After school, I got home and asked how Austin was doing.

"Do you wanna sit down?" my father asked. Just from that, I knew something was wrong.

They had taken Austin to the vet only to have to go to another vet hospital for an X-Ray....

My kitty...My sweet kitten.....

They found cancerous tumors growing in vital areas near his heart....

Right now, Austin is on our couch, resting from the medicine they gave him....

If my cat could understand English, I would apologize...

I would apologize for the short time he had.....

I would apologize for not being able to understand him.....

I would apologize to him for paying more attention to my phone and computer than him...

But...Most of all....

I would thank him...

For all the times he snuggled with me in bed, his loud, rumbling purrs being the only sound in the sacred night...

For sneaking to the side of my bed and then jumping, at the same time letting out a "MRROW" just to scare me...

For being my friend...

Austin, no cat could EVER replace you...Even if we end up getting another cat, they would never be anything similar to what you have given me...I love you...

I love you so much.....
